Studio Sea Star in Primorsko

What a great little hotel just away from the noise of the main street. It's just as you come into Primorsko and is actually the 2nd hotel on the right. Signage isnt good as its ajoined the 1st hotel, Sunrise. Parking is free and plentiful around the back. I was immediately helped in with my walker and case and greeted by name at reception. The swimming pool looked clean as did the bar and reception area. My room was on the 3rd floor and there was a lift. The room was spacious and on the front which meant there was traffic noise, this doesn't bother me at all. I had a couple of small cleaning issues which were rectified immediately and my request for extra pillows was also dealt with immediately. The room and balcony were very clean. The aircon and fridge worked perfectly. The mattress was comfortable. This is a 2 star hotel so dont expect 5 star amenities. There is a card you hang outside your door when you wanted your room cleaned, I hung mine out on the 2nd day, the cleaner came and offered me a clean rubbish bag for the toilet bin which I requested she changed, i also requested clean towels which she brought back a few minutes later. Toilet roll was replaced, that was it no actual cleaning took place. I was only staying for 3 days so it wasnt really an issue for me but if I was staying longer I would expect the room to be cleaned on request. The sunbeds round the pool all had cushions on, the pool area was very clean . Unfortunately I couldn't actually get in the pool as the first step on the ladder and the arms of the ladder were two low and my knees wont bend that far but fine for able bodied guests.I did get in the kids end though and it was beautifully warm. Ice cream and hot and cold drinks were available to buy all day and evening. Breakfast was a buffet of cheeses, cold meat, tomatoes, cucumber, 3 types of cereals , bread, honey, jam yogurt, boiled and scrambled eggs, sausages,some mornings with pasta, french toast or cheese and meat on toast. Cold squash from a machine or coffee/ tea .Always fresh, always plentiful. Dinner was a buffet of 5 different salads, 2 choices of mains, 2 choices of potato or rice, bread, cold squash I think was included. Desert was fruit selection some days or cake selection. Again everything was plentiful, its was cooked to perfection, so fresh, good meat not fatty or gristly. As is normal for Bulgaria it wasnt hot. I can honestly say this was some of the best food I've had all included in a hotel here, much better than some 4 and 5 star hotels I've stayed in. I had ribs and chips, mackerel in tomato sauce, chicken skewers, chicken and mushrooms, pork in a wonderful gravy, compliments to the chef for the delicious meals. The staff particularly Rado were very helpful and efficient. Service was excellent, short on smiles and greetings but that is normal for Bulgaria. The service was worthy of a 4 or 5 star hotel.
