I am not usually a fan of motels, but this was a really good experience. Facility is older but very clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are small but I wasn't there for a spa experience. The staff were lovely, especially in the breakfast room and the ladies cleaning rooms. Front desk aren't as friendly ... Very much just get your request taken care without pleasantries. They could work on that a bit ... They act a bit miserable tbh. Breakfast is good! Overall a great stay in a convenient location. I was pleasantly surprised and would come again.

I went off the reviews, big mistake!
Old, musty, dirty stinky rooms.
Not clean, the carpet was so gross!
Linens are rough!
Stay in a lot of hotels, this one takes the cake for the worst I’ve stayed at yikes!
Booked 4 nights, checked out after 6 hours.

Had terrible experience at this hotel. First they gave me a smoked in room, fully aware that my visit was a medical appointment. The second room I got had a noisy fridge which every time it kicked in sounded like diesel engine. Room had bad sound insulation you could hear people walking upstairs. At the time of check out the lady at the counter over bills me for the stay, good thing I looked. Worst experience I’ve had in a very longtime.

I am a frequent business traveller, and have experience with all kinds of hotels. I must say my stay at Best Western Plus Burnaby is perfect, especially, the free breakfast staff Cong and Eva are exceptional. They made me feel even better than at home! Their optimistic and merry personality lightens up my days, as well as their impeccable cleanses, organization, and flavoured food. This is way beyond what a KPI driven system could deliver. Their bilingual service in both English and Chinese adds on top of the already perfect performance. I will definitely choose Best Western Plus Burnaby for my future travels to Vancouver. See you Cong and Eva!

My daughter and I went down to shop at Metrotown for the day with her Christmas money. We found this hotel online as we drove down.
It is an excellent value and includes a great hot breakfast. It was a bit tough to get through at the beginning to the switchboard and talk to somebody as I had to call four times but I am glad we continued. It is only a couple blocks away from Metrotown and the price was super reasonable and the rooms were as good as anywhere if you're not looking for anything too fancy and the staff were very warm and inviting.
I used the gym facilities before we went for dinner and while the gym room is small it has amazing amounts of equipment so you can do basically any exercise you want.

We had an amazing stay at the hotel, the staff were very welcoming and courteous. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The breakfast was perfect. The Metropolis mall was just a 10 minute walk and to commute to other places the skytrain is very nearby. Thank you for the amazing stay 😊.

Well me n my family were coming to Vancouver for a visit and we were going to stay at best western plus as we are a member n they usually are amazing but unfortunately we have been told we can not get rooms due to they don't take visa debt or the most well know next wave titanium Mastercard as we have always used them on everyone we have been to but they weren't very nice n refused us n we are members.
So we would like to know why not at this one? Meanwhile we have had no problems ever thanks

When I stayed there was a power outage all night. That's not their fault, however there was absolutely no emergency lighting available within or outside the hotel room. It was so dark I could not see a foot in front of me. Since the heating was electrical I froze all night and got no sleep at all. My only light source for 6+ hours was my near-dead cell flashlight. Definitely could have felt safer with some simple modifications (that in my opinion should be bare-minumum already).
I recommend the hotel put in emergency lighting (especially outside the premises) and have a service number available for off hours. On an even colder night that could have been much more dangerous.
