Abigail's Hotel

The Abigail hotel was a pretty unique experience.

It’s a charming place, serviced by friendly staff and filled with pleasant surprises. Rooms are comfortable, well-kept, and of course, clean. While it comes off as rustic, it feels like it has been recently renovated. There’s an attention to detail that doesn’t go unnoticed.

Breakfast was fantastic, a cherry on top of the already pleasant experience.

I’d definitely consider returning in the future.

Second to none. Beautiful rooms with many thoughtful details and amenities, including an extremely comfortable bed. Great location, only a few blocks from the Inner Harbour. Fantastic breakfast every day. And enough cannot be said about the service - warm, friendly, and personal at all times. We can't wait to come back.

A truly classic British style hotel. The room was beautiful with a very comfortable bed and really clean. There were two sets of stairs though! Everything looks very Victorian and fits the city of Victoria very well. The hotel is within walking distance to Victoria downtown. Our room was pretty quiet at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful and also assisted us in lifting our heavy suitcases up the staircase. The breakfast was super delicious as well.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay this weekend at Abigail's Hotel. The location is very central and convenient. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and have everything you need. I appreciated the thought that went into every detail - from the location of the wall plugs, to the free snacks. The employees were very personable and kind. The real highlight, however, is the breakfast. It is like no hotel breakfast I have ever had - and better than most restaurants! There are gourmet options like eggs Benedict and Belgian waffles. Could not recommend this hotel enough.

My 2 friends and I just returned from Victoria had an amazing week stay at Abigail’s. The staff are so friendly and attentive and very helpful. The included breakfasts are amazing and the menu changes daily. 2 of us don’t eat pork or bacon and they happily accommodate and gave us almost custom made substitutions. Kudos to the 2 resident chefs who even made and baked all the yummy baked goods themselves! And a great plus is the hotel is so near within walking distance to downtown and many places. There are also two bus stops 2-3 mins away that would take us to further away places easily. Oh and the free flowing coffee and tea and water were so much appreciated. We were lucky to also have the complementary squash soup. Highly recommended. I would not hesitate to stay here again should I return to Victoria.

Lovely properly with character. Charming hotel. Attentive friendly staff all around and the kitchen staff are amazing. The included and amazing made to order breakfast was prepared by the wonderful kitchen crew. Complementary afternoon mushroom soup was a delicious treat! Highly recommend this gem of a hotel!

Short version: This was an amazing place to stay during our trip to Victoria! Not only was the place beautiful and well maintained, but the people working here were incredibly nice and helpful! The location is an easy walk from downtown and close to lots of dining options too. Breakfast is delicious! Definitely will come back here.

Long version: Stayed here for my trip to participate in the Victoria Marathon. I wanted a place that was close enough to downtown so I could walk back, and also had a tub so I could soak in it after my race. Not only did Abigail's deliver on those points, but it also had a really comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, and plenty of movie channels on the TV for when I was laying down for hours.

The front desk didn't bat an eye when I asked them if they could store my huge tub of pasta, nor did they seem bothered when we had them heat it up for us later that day. They even left us cookies as a thank you for staying with them. How thoughtful!

I highly recommend Abigail's and will definitely be back next time I'm in Victoria.
