Location is OK, the rooftop bar is nice but it really is quite a budget hotel (e.g. no fridge in the room). Expected better service from Radisson.
I booked the hotel through Expedia and arrived late, only to find that my reservation had been canceled without any notification. I had to rebook and pay again for the entire stay. Although Expedia later made an exception and reimbursed the first payment, the hotel refused to address the issue — essentially charging me twice for the same stay.
The room was not cleaned properly and was only serviced once during my six-night stay. There was usually only one person at the reception, resulting in long wait times — often between 60 to 90 minutes just to speak with someone. Some staff members were rude; one even harassed me simply for standing near a piece of artwork while I was waiting to resolve an issue.
Overall, it was a terrible experience. I typically stay in budget hotels and have never encountered anything like this before. I would not recommend this hotel.
The low overall rating was owing to the fact thst the air conditioning for the building was on the fritz. The first night was uncomfortably hot and sticky. It was fixed by our second night.
The rooms are either enormous and empty or very snug. Clean and tidy but my room smelled so bad when I arrived (sewage) but went after I opened a window for a day.
Great rooftop bar saved the day!
Breakfast was okay, but the food selection was rather limited.
The staff were very friendly and courteous. We didn't book breakfast and were still able to have a coffee from the machine in the restaurant tomorrow. Thank you for that.
The passages can be a bit disorienting being narrow and with the color scheme and design of the hotel.
The location is also quiet and a little offset from city centre but is still close to it while being next to the Rhine and connected towards Bonn-Beuel as well.
All in all a good experience.
