A lovely home in the middle of Dresden! Comfortable bed, nice facilities, cosy and tastefully interior, sweet and comfortable sofa, a functional kitchen, great location… etc. All in all, we had a wonderful stay! Thanks a lot to the team of „Aparthotel Am Schloss“! We‘ll be back!

Excellent location in the middle of historic city center, walking distance to all main attractions. Rooms are big, clean and comfortable, the only reason for 4 stars for the rooms is somewhat old decorations style. The hotel has a spacious parking and room for bicycles.

This place has a great location. If you jumped from the window you’d land in one of the main squares of the old town! It is a fully equipped apartment-our unit had a washer. Comfortable and with a daytime only front desk staff to answer questions. The only caveat is that there is no AC So you must sleep with the windows open, as one does in Germany!

Getting there from the train station is very easy. It took a little time, about 20 minutes on foot, and the main route passes through the city center, which, in my opinion, is a big and pleasant plus. The room is very neat and pleasant. At our arrival we were stopped and, despite our delay (we are only against 23:30 o'clock arrived) has been waiting for, the employee is still on us. The care afterwards was great. Avoid this place during the summer. There's no air conditioning. The apartments are a furnace during the day - if you open the window you are subject to noises and cigarette smoke from the neighbours. You can ask for a small desk fan but it won't do the job. The block out blinds do not do much. Also a security concern - On the first floor a neighbour could easily come into your place during the night...

PROS · The room was very well equipped and much larger than expected. We really liked having a small balcony, the bathroom was huge and even had a jacuzzi/sauna. The kitchen had everything you needed. The appliances were good brands/all clean and in good condition. The apartment was also very very big. Location is excellent. Easy to walk to the old historic city centre. Public transport is easily accessible...

Perfect place for long stay, I've spent there 6 month on a business trip and it's very good. Placed in city center, new, every apartment has kitchen, stove, laundry machine, even a dishwasher! Mine was a studio, enough for 1 or 2 person, larger apartments available. Underground parking for 3 euros a day - good value, hotels charge 10-25. Room cleaning costs money, just for you to know, 35 euros for...

Such a AWESOME Place! Right outside you have downtown Dresden with the zwinger! There is also a tram stop, and a bus stop right outside the hotel. Service was amazing and the hotel rooms were beautiful and looked very modern.

We stayed here for 2 months when first moving to Dresden and it was absolutely perfect! The rooms are beautifully designed and have everything you need. The location is PERFECT and right near everything. I would highly recommend this for a weekend stay or a few months. The front desk is super helpful and the entire experience was delightful. Also the beds are very comfy which is always a plus!

The apartment looks nice and is quite modern. The location is extremely convenient. Comes equipped with most things you would need. However the couch and bed are both hard and very uncomfortable. This has regularly caused neck and back pain, as well as a poor night's rest.

We love it the appartement was clean, tidy and more important had all accessories you need to stay for a few days with family. The bakery and shops are just down the corner. The Nudelpfanne was one of the best dishes I ever ate in my life! (ordered it without peppers, which wasn't a problem) We also had the Hexenhausteller, which was also really nice. Service was good.

A real "locus amenus". Nice spot, full of fruit trees, cats, beautiful Hauses, paecefull. We were here with our kid and was also for her a very nice stay.

We're fairly experienced travelers in Germany, and the Hexenhaus now ranks as our favorite all time Pension. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and sunny. The garden setting was relaxing. The breakfasts offered a wide, tasty selection--and were remarkably inexpensive. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the Pension itself was quite convenient to main roads into the city.

A really nice hotel with clean and big rooms. There was soap and many clean towels. There was a kitchen but unfortunately, it was locked away. Also the bathroom did not have a lock on the door. The localization was great, there was a tram station nearby, and the city center was just a few minutes by car away.

Decent place for decent price. Entrance is clear, parking premises are nearby (in the public street). Our apartment had no kitchen, nor any of it's appliances 😐 we would made ourselves some coffee, at least. And I hate mono bedsheets (the ones that are only for one person and doesn't cover you enough if you are constantly moving around yourself in the bed), but that is just me. A huge bathroom! 🙂

Excellent apartment! Really nice apartment located near the railway station. It’s a really old building with lots of character, modern kitchen and bathrooms. The only downside was that they advertised free parking and when I arrived there was only two parking spaces and both were taken, I called the manager and he said there was a parking garage close by that charged 10 euros a day, had I known there...

Very nice apartment (A6) for a group of six. Big dining room table, nice sized kitchen and two toilets (one with shower) are enough to get you through and the beds are pretty comfy. Free breakfast bread and fruit is a lovely touch!

The rooms and the hotel itself are quite nice. The campus is well groomed as well. What is not okay, however, is the signage. I arrived in the middle of the night and there is no conspicuous sign whatsoever pointing out the City Hotel. When you go to the location of the hotel on Google Maps you arrive at a building which is apparently part of the hotel but there is no reference to the City Hotel there...

Large comfortable rooms - and - WHAT a great Pool Area (extra cost).

It was clean and nice. The underground pool was quite deep, so it was fun. I was supposed to be assigned a room on the 1st to 4th floor, but all the rooms were taken, so I was given the 8th floor.

This hotel is in a great location with excellent service, and the minibar was a great. A few details kept this from being a 5-star experience. The pillows were extremely flat, and the towels were basic not that good quality—more like what you’d expect from a 3-star hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable! It's close to the city center, but it takes about 20 minutes to walk. Amenities were provided.

It was about 15 minutes to the market square and about 15 minutes from the station. The room and facilities were really good, and I was also very satisfied with the breakfast. The bathroom was also very spacious and clean. One thing that was a bit disappointing was that there was no coffee pot, so I couldn't drink warm water or coffee, but it wasn't a big problem.

The hotel is great in general. The bed we had was comfy but the room is too small for 2 persons. Breakfast is a bit expensive for what it is (just minimum bread, coffee, etc.)

Tiny room in the middle of the old town. Very convenient location facing the square with plenty of bars and restaurants. Occasionally, you may hear the chattering of late returned visitors in the square. You cannot make a cup of tea in your room. TV won't connect to the internet therefore the Chromecast was useless. The hotel's location in very convenient. It's within short walking distance to many major attractions so it saves a lot of travel time staying at this premise. It's an older hotel so do not expect state-of-the-art facility. The front desk staff is modest, professional but not going out of the way to help. It feels very German. They speak fluent English so easy to communicate.

My dog stayed in my room with me which was great but they didn't provide anything extra for dogs, for example there was no where around the whole block to put dog poo once you had picked up. Would be very useful if they but a special bin outside the hotel and maybe provided drinking bowls.

The service was very good, they were very polite and offered to help us. The facilities were also good, the bed was comfortable and they had a TV, the bathroom was very nicely decorated and it was tidy, thank goodness you could book in late in the evening and it's close to a train station so it's easy to get there.

One of our favourite hotels we’ve ever visited. We loved the style of the hotel and the incredibly friendly reception, who provided us with an amazing suite for the duration of our stay! 10/10 would recommend for anyone considering a stay in Dresden. While it is not completely central, it is well connected with the tram and Dresden Mitte nearby and only a 10 minute walk to the Altstadt.

Perfect location, close to the train station. The service was good, and the hotel/rooms were always well cleaned. The breakfast buffet was okay, just enough choices without going too overboard.

A hotel that claims to be young and hip in start-up mode, but you immediately get the feeling that you're dealing with a big chain. It's still clean and decent if you're spending a night in Dresden, but if you want to visit the city for longer I'd look for a more authentic hotel.

The hotel was very good. It is our second stay here. Staff is friendly, beds very comfortable and it is clean. Breakfasts were typical for the hotel breakfast. The worst thing is the breakfast area is in lobby. There is no special area for guests eating.

The cleanness could be much better. There was dust in our bathroom on the tissue box, and under the sink where they put the towels. A no-brainer near the airport, it's ideal for construction workers, city breaks, or business trips. Good bus connections. Parking is a bit difficult, but manageable or available for a fee. A bit run-down, but clean and OK for the price.
