Where to stay in Dresden

The hotel must have a long history, with heavy copper keys, a nice environment, and a fountain.

The hotel is really good, with good kitchen, in a peaceful, nice neighborhood. Rooms are a bit old fashioned, you get a key and not a keycard at the reception, but they are also nice and clean. Only two things that I think would help make the experience even better: Charging stations in the garage and USB or power plug next to the bed for phone charging.

There are ants in the room on the first floor of the villa. The environment is beautiful, the breakfast is good, the swimming fee is 5 euros per person, and the children are half price. Parking is charged. Don't be together like a stranger

I found the hotel quiet and clean. The staff was friendly and well trained, the breakfast was also very good. The spa area was welcoming and worth a visit. The city of Dresden can be reached by S-Bahn or bus, both the station and the bus stop are within walking distance. I slept very well and I left with a good impression.

I chose this hotel solely for its view, so I requested a river view in advance as a special request, but I was disappointed that they assigned me to a room on the road instead of the river. We were there during the trade fair, which was unfortunately a bit limiting. Breakfast was moved to an area that wasn't as inviting as the actual room! It has been quite a while since the hotel name changed from The Westin Dresden to BILDBERG. It was inconvenient because you had to walk for about 15 to 20 minutes from the tourist center and there were no shops or restaurants nearby. The room is small and the bathroom is large. The facilities overall are old. Breakfast was okay.

We had a lovely stay at Ibis Dresden! The location was great to so many restaurants and shops and malls! We had a great room as far as space wise, the view from our room was great! Central location. It is branded as budget, but feels like one. Corridors give a rundown feeling. Towels are super thin. No kettle nor coffee or tea in the room.

Overall, it wasn't bad. There were no particularly dirty areas, so it's good for people who want to stay cheap. A normal hotel.

The location is a little far from the central station, but I used the tram to get there. It's a nice, quiet place with no noise. Best of all, there was a bathtub, so I was able to take a long bath and relieve the fatigue of my travels. Another good point is that there is a shop inside the hotel. I was able to buy water, alcohol, snacks, etc. The front desk staff were also very kind. Highly rated.

It wasn't too far to walk from the central station, and the room size was just right for two suitcases to be spread out, but the water pressure was low and the shower head needed to be replaced.

We had one night in executive suite. The decor of the hotel was really cool and the overall vibe nice. Good location. Super clean. The shower of the room was lovely. There were however, a few lacks in our room: there was no hair dryer and there were only one glass for tea/coffee and there were no spoon to mix the coffee sweeteners. Right in the Altstadt. Short walk to Frauenkirche, Neumarkt, Zwinger, Brühlsche Terrasse and the Elbe, and also to the trams and shopping to the south. The premium room  has a cupboard door share with the bathroom broom and toilet. When you draw the door to close it makes noise and the lights wake up the other person.  This is most disturbing experience . None of us slept well for three nights.

We changed the room with the Frauenkirche view to a bigger room 300(39 m2). However the bathroom door is shared with the cupboards. That disturb the other when one goes to toilet in the night. The door makes noise and lights from the bathroom wakes up the other. These for 3 nights we didn’t sleep well. The elegant Grand cafe close by is wonderful in the evening for drinks.

The location of the hotel is very central and you can walk to many of the city attractions. The rooms are alright but far from a four star hotel. The breakfast buffet is mediocre and the staff at the buffet were everything but friendly.

We stayed two nights in this lovely hotel and enjoyed each moment. The friendly service, very well equipped and clean rooms not to forget to mention a delious breakfast for a good start into the day framed the visit of this nice town. Hotel was well located within walking distance of main city centre attractions and train station. Had paid for an early check in which wasn't available in the end and was refunded. Room was well appointed but the bed was not the most comfortable (unusual in a Premier Inn).

We had a good night's rest at this hotel. It has a great location and new rooms with a good floor plan. The location is great and it the biggest plus. The hotel room is no frills basic, no fridge and was not able to make it cooler in the room, seems like maybe the fan was not working? Opening the window did not help. But overall a decent place to stay in a great location.

10 mins from the Main Station, quite convenient. Staffs were friendly. The Pool and the gym are rather Small. 

Average The hotel was fine and the service at the check in seat was fine. However, the restaurant was closed when I arrived, which wasn’t ideal as I’d had a long day of travel.

In general, I see a discrepancy between expectations/price and reality. The hotel has been nicely renovated, but the rooms are very small. The interior is very quiet, but there is a lack of ambience (background music? ...). Service is not at 5-star level (e.g. we were never offered help with our luggage, not even when a member of staff happened to get into the same elevator). Location is great. But...

A very romantic hotel.. All the employees were very kind. The rooms are spacious, clean. You get a key like from the Middle Ages, to really feel like you are in a castle. The breakfast is excellent. The surroundings with the gardens are beautiful. We really enjoyed it.

Sitting at an outdoor table enjoying the view and excellent food and wine, what’s not to like? The Saxon Game Plate is superb and the Tarte Tatin magnificent. Very good and attentive service make a meal here a memorable experience. Highly recommended.

In the middle of the old town, easy to reach all the touristic places.

Room was very dusty. Like not used in recent days. Corners of the room, desk under TV and the desk in the bathroom had some very old stains. Toilet seat had yellow stains from urine. If we were to stay there longer than one night it would not be acceptable.

The rooms are worn out. The carpets are old. The beds are only made briefly every two days, nothing else.

The hotel is located on a very busy street. Sleeping with the window open is not possible. The hotel is still far from the center of Dresden.

The park is wonderful. The room was clean. I didn't really know where the sauna and other extra things were. There is 3 building and you need to move outside between them. The breakfast was in an other building. Th breakfast was ok.

This place is amazing!! We left Holland to support Ukraine with food, clothing and medicin. After allmost e days of barelly sleeping we arrived here 5:30AM. We could sleep untill 12 and leave at one and still pay for only one night. This is the we needed. Thanks to the lady (who spoke very good English as well) for helping us when we had nowhere else to go

Budget hotel. It works for the price - however no A/C, subpar location, and 11 euros per person for breakfast kills it. Bar/restaraunt wasn't open the night we stayed. Parking costs 5 euro, and it is a locked garage - however parking on streets are free and apparently easy to find.

I can only agree with all the reviews. That was our domicile during our many stays in Dresden. Unfortunately, my husband passed away in 2019, so I only have fond memories of an accommodation where no wishes were left unfulfilled!

The place was lovely - spacious and clean and staff very kind. Challenges were that most spoke only German (not english or french or spanish or czech which were languages we spoke) and weren't as thorough as we thought (it said daily cleaning which did not happen) and there were additional costs for water in the fridge which we didn't expect. But the location was fabulous!

Very courteous hotel staff, gladly 5*. Unfortunately, our room didn't have such a nice view of the outside - probably only the deluxe apartments have this. But otherwise very comfortable and homely. Small note: a few tea bags placed with instant coffee powder make every tea drinker happy and don't cost a fortune! ;-)
