Clean, nice rooms. Great breakfast. Very very nice staff. One star less because of noise coming from the street. You need some ear plugs to get some sleep.

The whirlpool tub in the Deluxe Suite is perfect for relaxing. The fully equipped kitchen and large TV in the living room area are also perfect for longer stays.
Even though we were the only guests in the hotel, we were treated to a small breakfast buffet just for ourselves :)
Check-in and check-out were very relaxed and easy using a combination lock.
You'll need a bit of luck with the parking spaces around the hotel, as they aren't exclusively for the hotel. However, if you're willing to drive around a couple of times and search, you'll find one. There are also plenty of parking garages nearby.

We booked the hotel because of its proximity to the trade fair. The trade fair is just a few minutes' walk away. Since we arrived very late, we were given a code for the hotel and room, which worked without any problems. The rooms are clean and have a stylish bathtub in the middle of the room instead of a shower. Not ideal if you just want to shower. Breakfast had already been cleared away when we got downstairs. Because we arrived late, we had no contact with the staff, who assumed we didn't want breakfast. That wasn't very nice. The price/performance ratio could be improved.

When I arrived it was 85 degrees F in the room and the AC did not work. I was moved to a much smaller room and no one mentioned any kind of adjustment in price.

I decided to stay here for a better individual experience rather than the large generic hotel nearby. It proved to be the right decision, I had a bigger room with better facilties and a more personal service. It's ideally located a 5-8 minute walk to either of the U11 Underground stations and the Essen conference centre entrances. Make sure you have a charged phone with you because you may have to call the remote reception to receive your code to enter the hotel and your room. The room was spacious with a kitchenette including a microwave, kettle and tea/coffee facilities - as was the bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The bed was also comfortable and clean. Andre was really helpful, made me a special bacon and egg breakfast and allowed me to stay a little later than my check out time without extra charge or hassle. It's the personal touch at Georges that makes the difference. Just to add, you may need ear plugs if you're a light sleeper because the hotel is on a road junction. I didn't need them and slept like a baby. If you're after a great location, excellent value and something much less corporate then head to the Georges Boutique Hotel.

Gorgeous room, salts for your bathtub, waking up to wonderful smell of fresh baked breads. Convenient location to train station and perfect walking distance to Messe
