PROS: - Easy check-in, nice receptionist staff - Free parking - Comfy room with TV CONS: - Unfortunately, Hotel vending machines were out of service and there are no other option to grab some snacks.

Hygene could be better. It was not so clean in the room. We had a dirty toiletpaper for example. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful.

Room was okay. But the check in was terrible. First we tried it on the machine but it said we had to pay again. We decided to come back after 5 pm. We then tried to check in with one of your staff. A very rude woman that said we did not have a reservation. We waited for 10 minutes while she was typing on the computer but did not say anything. Meanwhile more people were waiting to check in. The hotel was clean and had plenty of parking. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean but tiny. Great to stop at while visiting Freiburg. The only problem we had was its accessibility. The buses only run on weekdays and also not on public holidays. We were compelled to drive in to town. We did not try the breakfast buffet.

Hello! Everything was fine. No complaints. Very friendly and supporting personnel. Good breakfast also. Yes, the hotel is not in the center. But in 5 min walk there is a good park. Then in 5 min walk is already the old town and minster. So, for me it was a pleasure to stay here. Well done.

Good hotel: modern and comfortable. If you arrive after 22 you have to do an online check in because there is no concierge on the night. Access to the rooms are allowed by a code. In my room (507) there was the carpet and it was not very good cleaned: I found long hair on it. Good shower. Poor breakfast at 8.50 euro: I have done it outside. Very unhelpful staff.

Small cozy hotel with good prices to sleep for one-two nights. We got a cozy small room, hairdryer and TV (was important at that moment to monitor news from Ukraine). The lady on the reception was super nice to us.

Clean room, good breakfast and free parking. From here you take buses and trains to many directions. The hotel is 23 minutes away from downtown Freiburg with the train, and 8 minutes by car.

Clean and basic hotel for spending a night. Not in a pitoresque neighboorhood but very good price quality hotel. Very warm and friendly staff. They helped us ( two adults and three kids) with limited options they had, to find a suitable room. We had the same (nice) experience in B&B hotel in Pisa (thanks to the kind attenetion Mrs Giulia).

Interior of the rooms is somewhat dated. Our room wasn’t cleaned properly. Hotel is situated directly next to the railway station, meaning location is great for travel and visiting the city center. But it can be noisy with windows open, not having airconditioning in the rooms.

I reccomend for upgrading your room to one with AC, they're bigger and the mini fridge is way more colder. In the regular once you still have a mini fridge which is great, it was the only hotel in our trip with a fridge. Excellent breakfast, and the location is great!

I stay about 5 nights in this hotel per year for some 4 years now. The hotel used to be very nice but as it is very often at full capacity, it is losing its niceness. The rooms aren't properly cleaned (see pictures) neither maintained (broken stuff not repaired, etc). Had a lovely stay in this hotel. Great location, nice rooms and good facilities. However the best thing was the staff on reception. They were all so friendly. It makes such a big difference having people smile at you and say hi, each time you walk past. The lovely Katarina even helped us make a booking to a thermal spa, when we were having trouble. Loved every thing about the stay. The staff are helpful and nice. The neighborhood is so beautiful and modern it has a very nice calming vibe. The rooms have a small kitchen which is a huge advantage. The tram station is very close to the hotel. Absolutely the stay of choice while in Freiburg.

Lovely hotel, we arrived on opening night, it felt like they were already very accustomed to receiving guests. Very family friendly: staff immediately rushed a chair for our one year old, they put a very good baby bed with cute covers in the room and the staff is super friendly. Loved the shower too.

My room was clean. The bathroom was really smelly though (smelled like sewage). As far as my group was informed there was only one restroom (not counting the ones in the rooms obviously). Since we stayed here for a workshop this was pretty inconvenient.The surrounding area was okay-ish only a short walk to the city center.

The restaurant is just great! The food is tasty and service is great. The interior is fancy and stylish. The owner and his wife are serving and they do it properly and in time. The prices are quite decent. Ca 25 Euro per person for such food, service and ambient is almost nothing. Good parking and easy access to the city. The three things I want to complain about is how little they have done to show that this hotel was a former retirement house, because of the toilets and the emergency wires/buttons. The fridge was not cleaned and smelled like alcohol, and the wifi only worked 5 min before problems occurred and it then stopped working

We had the perfect stay at this hotel while in Freiburg. We loved it so much that we even recommended it on our website. :) The staff is super friendly, the breakfast is good and they offered free drinks at the bar if you help save water by refusing the daily turn-down service if you don't really need it. My stay in Am Rathaus hotel was excellent: very good reception, clean rooms, great breakfast ... only downside, I was surprised by extra charges (16 euros for 5 nights) for non alcoholic drinks that were offered in the mini- bar. The Schwarzwälder Hof is a great location right close to a large parking deck and the shopping district of Freiburg. We arrived early and were already allowed into our room. The -friendly cleaning lady coordinated when to clean the room individually with us. We were also happy that the water pressure in the shower was outstanding ;-) Breakfast was good, the fresh fruit salad was even outstanding....

A very well located, traditional German inn. Our room was large and everything was very clean. The continental breakfast selection was good. Very nice fresh fruit, cheese, cold cuts and breads. Our room (number 15) was located on the ground floor with direct access into a small central courtyard that had seats and a small water feature.

I was there with a group for lunch just before 12pm, after that you get overrun. 😅My pizza was super nice, thin crust and crispy. The prices are really good, the service friendly and quick.

My family came to Freiburg and needed a last minute hotel reservation. The staff at Hotel Minerva were so welcoming and helped us with everything we needed. They were always friendly and even remembered our favorite breakfast items when we came back down on our second morning. Superb customer service.
