The Exzellenz Hotel

Amazing hospitality team!! We didn’t have a wine opener in our room and the girl at the front desk was doing her best to assist - it was a little time sensitive for us so I started walking to a store to purchase one and when I was maybe two blocks away I heard her running after me to let me know she found one for me. It may sound silly, but it made me feel so cared for! Such kindness.

The rooms were great, facilities were great! Breakfast was decent, enough to get the day started.

The 2 women at the front desk were SO amazingly kind and helpful. I felt a little needy (additional pillow, refrigerator help, receiving a package). The location is great, near two major local transportation hubs. There's a 24 hr grocery store (Rewe) within 5 minutes walking.
The cons:
I stayed for 3 or 4 nights. All was well until the last night. Someone right above me stomped around with their shoes on all night long. Seriously, from about 10pm until 6:30am. All that to say, the floors are not sound proofed well.
Also, the reception is closed from 8pm until 7am so I could not contact anyone to let the other guest know that their stomping was keeping me awake.
Con #2- The refrigerator took a long time to get cool enough to keep yogurt at a safe temp.
Con #3- the lights that are in the ceiling flickered brighter and dimmer. That was super annoying and I had to turn them off most of the time.
Side note- there's a laundry spot nearby, heading toward the Rewe. The dryers are crap.
I would probably stay here again and ask for a room on the top floor.

A hotel that lives up to it's name!
Comfortable, clean and well equipped rooms. The staff are very friendly and the booking in procedure is so easy, even if the reception desk is not open.
We shall definitely be returning. I would thoroughly recommend it for anyone visiting Heidelberg.

Rooms are ok. Spacious enough to spread out. Only issue is parking. There is no parking so you will have to park along the street (if there is any). Not much to eat in the area.

Great location and service. Hotel is clean, staff is professional. Room was ok and spacious, but shower small, duvet was child size, and TV was not streaming all channels as advertised. Breakfast was good with cold and warm options.

I was invited there by a friend to have breakfast. The staff was friendly, they have a great variety of food, and the food tasted good. I would probably recommend it to someone who wants to stay for a day or two. As I was invited I cannot say anything about the price.

The hotel is really clean and neat, the people are nice and the breakfast is amazing! Wifi is available through the whole hotel. Also the prizes are very good. The only thing I missed was a water cattle in the room.
