My best friend and I spent two nights here in September 2024 as part of our trip. Staff was very courteous and the check-in process was very smooth. The premises were kept spotless and the surroundings were quiet. Our room in the Jagerhaus was just as pictured with a comfy bed, beautiful bathroom, and an incredible view of both castles. The service was excellent overall, except during breakfast. The staff member at the egg station was unfortunately not friendly. I simply went over and politely asked for an omelette. In response, She loudly and rudely said, ‘Can’t you see the pan is still occupied?’ Other guests turned to look. I don’t understand why it wasn’t possible to respond in a polite manner.

We didn't know that this hotel is a Michelin star hotel until we got checked in. So we had tried all their amenities and services such as their gym and their restaurant and bar. Really beautiful location! You can see the Neuneuschwanstein castle from the windows & balconies of some of the suites. AND from the breakfast & garden area. Helpful and friendly staff! Great place to stay if visiting the Füssen area with car.

The hotel's location is a slam dunk. Hohenschwangau Castle is directly in front of you, and Neuschwanstein Castle is visible behind you. From the window, you can see the carriages heading down to Hohenschwangau Castle. The Alpine lake is just a short walk away. It's a very old hotel, but it has an elevator and a shower. The hotel is located in a small hamlet between Neuschwanstein castle and Hohenschwangau castle (10 mins walk up hill) . You can hike up to Neuschwanstein takes about 40 mins or take a bus ride up , 5 mins

Very nice indeed. I was quite hungry after being at the Neuchwanstein castle so me and a few of the people I was with found this Restaurant. The turkey in a cream sauce with some rice was beautiful the best meal I have had so far on this holiday. Then to have a look through the ice cream menu was just ridiculous. Terrific restaurant right by the parking area for the two castles. Highly recommend. It’s is in a high tourist spot, but the food really was very good. I had the pumpkin soup and chicken salad, very delicious. My husband enjoyed his veal sausages and pretzel. There are kid meals also.

Overall a good experience but nothing special. We were recommended this place from the front desk of our hotel and so we tried. The food was good although the soup was very very salty. The hotel is nice and cozy. The people handling the place are so just lovely. The rooms are small but good enough for the stay. It's very close to Neuschwantein Castle and Hohenschwangau castle. The free breakfast was terrific. Just slightly overpriced.

We didn't stay here but I would assume its excellent 👌 as well. We did have dinner here after our trip to Hohenschwangau Castle. The service was great and friendly and many locals visit its restaurant from what we witnessed. The food was excellent 👌 and portions are large and reasonably priced. The beers 🍻... oh so good 👍 😋. A must try as well. Atmosphere...typical Bavarian. 👍

The hotel was close to the castles and to Fussen for dinner and drinks at night. The room was clean and accommodating, but the manager was a tad rude. When we first walked in he would not even acknowledge our presence, but then some German's came in and he seemed to warm up a bit.

Stayed here September 2017. Klaus the owner is awesome. Great sense of humor, he was shocked that we had 3 Siberian huskies! The location is pretty much unbeatable, you are right down the road from the castles and can see them on a beautiful short walk from the inn.

Fantastic views, and everything was adequate. I especially liked the roll down zombie defense window protection on the windows. Yes, the is really a roll down metal shutter on each of the windows in our room. I have no idea why, but I have never felt safer sleeping in a hotel. I had seen this hotel hundreds of times so we decided to stay here this time for our week in Schwangau. It definitely didn’t disappoint. We booked three standard rooms at a very reasonable rate and we were largely very happy. Ok, the two singles, while good rooms looked out on the very busy street and had the evening sun.. so our teens were hot n bothered ! Our room was looking out on the other side...

Only had a late lunch here, so can't comment on the accommodation. Super friendly staff and really tasty food with lots of local specialities on the menu. Slightly on the expensive side for what it is.

Very nice hotel in the small town of Schwangau. Very friendly staff. If you arrive by bus, there is a bus stop just across the street. My only complaint is, since there is no air conditioning (normal for Europe) I slept with the windows open and I could here patrons at the small Italian restaurant across the street on their patio as late as 02:00 (2:00am)

we are business travellers and during Sunday in Europe, so we choose to visit the Neuschwanstien and this hotel is just few kilometers nearby. The room is easy to check-in, clean and quiet. There's many restaurants around so there's no problems for eating

The property was in a beautiful area with a great view of Neuschwanstein and a short drive to the parking for both Hohenschwangau and Neuschwantein Castles. Our second stay at Rübezahl. The atmosphere, the attention to detail, the staff, the food and the spa were excellent the first time. This time they were even better! The views of, and the walking in, the foothills of the Alps are tremendous. A wonderful, relaxing stay - we will return.

I visited for four days at the beginning of November with my wife and two adults daughters. We found the hotel very comfortable, the staff very nice, and the food excellent. I highly recommend the hotel as a base for days visiting Neuschwanstein Linderhof, and Fussel. Unfortunately, our guide at Neuschwanstein was very robotic, but that was not the hotel's fault.

I am very glad that I chose this hotel for my visit to Neuschwanstein Castle. We stayed in the best room of this hotel with a balcony and a view of the castle right from the bed. This makes the trip even more romantic and truly special. The hotel staff is also very friendly.

There are only 2-3 short-term parking spaces at the main entrance on Kreuzweg. The large, free main car park is somewhat inconspicuously signposted: access shortly beforehand via Alten Schwinkelweg, then turn left at the intersection of Kröb/Kreuzweg/Tassiloweg. It's easy to drive past the sign and then have to turn around. Directly at the large main parking lot, e.g. on the terrace of the cafeteria...

Beautiful hotel with excellent service. The view is amazing. I fully recommend this hotel. There are castles few minutes away that are must to visit and learn more about the history and the culture. The view on the Alps is surreal.

Beautiful location for relaxation or fitness. The choice is yours. The staff make you feel valued and special. The resort is outstanding for accommodation restaurant, sauna, swimming and exercise programs. I have visited 4 times and have enjoyed it so much every time.

Overall nice hotel. Decently pretty and wonderful, everything from amenities to service is also tip-top. I like the surrounding parts a lot, you feel kind of enclosed in a good way yet still free. I will probably be back many times in the coming years.

I felt very comfortable and well looked after: good therapists, nice room, delicious, varied food, nice staff, great landscape! Although the daily routine was fairly well-paced with treatments and meals, the rehab felt like three weeks of vacation.

The Hotel Christine is a lovely hotel. The rooms are comfortable and you have a shared balcony that runs along the side of the building. You can lower a metal screen for privacy of your room at night if other people are on the balcony. The breakfast is amazing! Rooms are ok. We were given an unnecessary barrier-free room, which was a good size with a massive bathroom. If it was just room quality the hotel would not score great, but what really sells it is the location (superb) and the food. Breakfast pretty standard but dinner (we ate in the hotel two of the three nights we stayed) was delicious.

To save others from my snoring I got a private room, arranged as two single bunks. Room for bags under the bed but not much else. Male bathroom across the hall had one toilet & two showers- pick your times accordingly! (Spare toilet on the ground floor.) Comfy, quiet, welcoming common area downstairs with snacks and drinks available to purchase for just a few euros. I'd go back to Fussen any day! ...

I stay for 3 nights in one of the bunkbed rooms and it was pretty good, the service is nice and I had no overall issues sharing a room with strangers, most people who use the rooms are just hikers and travels looking to stay for a night or two, recommended if you just need a place to stay for a while

The rooms and common spaces were clean. The place is cozy, the location is great and they even gave towel in the same hostel price. Everything is more or less self service.

I liked the "karma bar" trust system for paying for drinks and snacks... The free coffee is really high quality, too... And the music selection playing was top. Comfy rooms and beds: I'd just recommend getting darker curtains as the streetlights outside are quite bright.

Like others have said, very well-located place to stay in Füssen that won't break the bank at all. My friend and I ended up with a family room for the two of us lol. Parking can get difficult, so just ask staff for some tips and they'll help you out. Lots of history to the place, so make sure you look around inside for evidence.

We arrived late in the afternoon and the staff recognize me as soon as I talk to her. They have private parking place and offer free parking. The room is clean and comfort to stay. Very nice breakfast and the staff is super nice and warm. We also tried their sauna and have good rest after a long day in Neuschwanstein. The only thing you need to note is that there's about 20 mins walk without a car...

The property is very nice, check in was very quick, elevator only goes to 2nd floor (too bad for guests on 3rd floor), on site restaurant was closed on Sat night (so had to go out for dinner), breakfast was excellent, staff was very nice and spoke very good English.

The hotel has a free parking lot, the surrounding environment of the town is very good, the waiters are very enthusiastic, and the dinner and breakfast are delicious. is the bed is a bit small.

It’s located at the outer edge of the town, about 5 minutes walk to the center, which to me is a plus because of the quietness it offers. Driving to parking lot 4 of the castles takes about 10 minutes. Our room is comfort room two twin beds; both the sleeping are and the bathroom are very clean and spacious. Having two twin beds works great for families with grown kids. Breakfast buffet exceeded expectations...

Was a quick overnight stay before visiting the castles. Room was ground floor next to the road but it wasn't that noisy. Did find a silverfish in the bathroom.

You can be lucky or unlucky with Best Western - today we were lucky! Modern hotel in older style building just on the edge of town and within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants and rail station. Good size room with modern shower room, all in excellent condition. Staff at both the bar and reception really helpful and excellent English. Didn't eat here so cannot comment on the food.

The front desk staff is very nice. The hotel is large and bright. I recommend staying here. If you drive a car to the hotel to park, you need to park at the door and then go to the front desk to get a room card, which can also enter the parking lot in the basement. In addition, the hotel will give each person a free bus ticket, which can be taken to the bus station of Neuschwanstein Castle.

Great hotel! First Tip: if you are driving there, realize this hotel is on the pedestrian walking mall. There are set hours you can drive down the pedestrian mall (8-10am, 6-8pm). So arriving outside of those times, park in deck P5, a couple blocks away, they will take your parking ticket and give you one to use the rest of your stay at a discounted rate.
