My best friend and I spent two nights here in September 2024 as part of our trip. Staff was very courteous and the check-in process was very smooth. The premises were kept spotless and the surroundings were quiet. Our room in the Jagerhaus was just as pictured with a comfy bed, beautiful bathroom, and an incredible view of both castles. Parking was across the hotel in a secured lot and we had no issues...

The service was excellent overall, except during breakfast. The staff member at the egg station was unfortunately not friendly. I simply went over and politely asked for an omelette. In response, She loudly and rudely said, ‘Can’t you see the pan is still occupied?’ Other guests turned to look. I don’t understand why it wasn’t possible to respond in a polite manner.

Perfect from start to finish! The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and very helpful. The room was very comfortable, and the spa was great. The views throughout the hotel were breathtaking, and the highlight? The pool with its stunning view of the castle—just wow! I highly recommend it, 10/10!

Really beautiful location! You can see the Neuneuschwanstein castle from the windows & balconies of some of the suites. AND from the breakfast & garden area. Helpful and friendly staff! Great place to stay if visiting the Füssen area with car.

The owner Annette and her staff were amazing and attentive from the moment we entered the hotel. This is a boutique style hotel and doesn’t lack the ambiance and amenities of a larger hotel. Very nice indeed. I was quite hungry after being at the Neuchwanstein castle so me and a few of the people I was with found this Restaurant. The turkey in a cream sauce with some rice was beautiful the best meal I have had so far on this holiday. Then to have a look through the ice cream menu was just ridiculous. Because it was the best ice cream menu that I have ever seen. Absolutely brilliant!!!...

Great food at reasonable prices despite being in such a touristy, high-traffic area. The staff is friendly and humble, the portions are big, and you’ll climb up to Neuschwanstein happy and well-nourished! Awesome place all around!

Terrific restaurant right by the parking area for the two castles. Highly recommend. It’s is in a high tourist spot, but the food really was very good. I had the pumpkin soup and chicken salad, very delicious. My husband enjoyed his veal sausages and pretzel. There are kid meals also.

Overall a good experience but nothing special. We were recommended this place from the front desk of our hotel and so we tried. The food was good although the soup was very very salty. Rooms were great. I liked the historic feel to them. Was able to get me a baby crib which was good, although it did cost a few euros. Location is right in front of the horse carriage drop off/pick up. Service was superb from check in to check out. And even were amazing enough to find and mail back to me items I had forgot in my room. Perfect place to stay.

We didn't rate the rooms as we only had brunch at their wonderful restaurant. One of the best breakfasts' that I had ever had in Germany. Eggs were prepared perfectly and the coffee ☕️ excellent 👌. Abit pricey but worth every penny and the service outstanding 👌.

Wonderful hotel ! The location was perfect for a tour of the castle. The hotel can arrange castle tours and will provide tickets. I didn’t know this as I booked my tickets before I decided to stay here. The area is beautiful. Lots of shops and restaurants. The restaurant on site had delicious food. We went to the hotel’s restaurant for lunch because it was closest to the castle and because they were offering soups. It was very busy at the outside dining. We tried the split pea soup (Erbsensuppe) because it was vegan and we tried the goat cheese appetizer that came with a little salad. Both tasted unexpectedly amazing and the price was appropriate. Excellent location which is at the bottom of the Hohenschwangau Castle and near the lake. The walk to the lake is well worth it. We took the mule carriage, which picks up at the hotel, to the Neuschwanstein Castle (Fairytale). We loved the room and the breakfast was classic fantastic European Breakfast.

The hotel is located in a small hamlet between Neuschwanstein castle and Hohenschwangau castle (10 mins walk up hill) . You can hike up to Neuschwanstein takes about 40 mins or take a bus ride up , 5 mins

The hotel is nice and cozy. The people handling the place are so just lovely. The rooms are small but good enough for the stay. It's very close to Neuschwantein Castle and Hohenschwangau castle. The free breakfast was terrific. Just slightly overpriced.

I would highly recommend this place!! It's only 5-10 min away from famous Neuschwanstein Castle so the location is perfect, the stuff that works there is super friendly and the overall atmosphere is great! Amazing place!! I will definitely come back! :)

We liked our stay in here mainly thanks to proximity to castles and Fussen by walking distance. Room was cozy and clean, bfast very good as well.

We didn't stay here but I would assume its excellent 👌 as well. We did have dinner here after our trip to Hohenschwangau Castle. The service was great and friendly and many locals visit its restaurant from what we witnessed. The food was excellent 👌 and portions are large and reasonably priced. The beers 🍻... oh so good 👍 😋. A must try as well. Atmosphere...typical Bavarian. 👍

The hotel was close to the castles and to Fussen for dinner and drinks at night. The room was clean and accommodating, but the manager was a tad rude. When we first walked in he would not even acknowledge our presence, but then some German's came in and he seemed to warm up a bit.

Stayed here September 2017. Klaus the owner is awesome. Great sense of humor, he was shocked that we had 3 Siberian huskies! The location is pretty much unbeatable, you are right down the road from the castles and can see them on a beautiful short walk from the inn.

We were very warmly greeted by our host, who told us about some attractions we might want to see before showing us up to our room and explaining the ins and outs of how things worked. Fantastic views, and everything was adequate. I especially liked the roll down zombie defense window protection on the windows. Yes, the is really a roll down metal shutter on each of the windows in our room. I have no idea why, but I have never felt safer sleeping in a hotel. What a gem! The staff is warm and welcoming. They walked us to our room. They gave us plenty of useful information about the area. Breakfast in the morning is unbelievable, the selection of fresh breads, cheese, cold cuts, spread and fresh fruits is amazing. The room was spacious and very clean. The shower in the morning takes long time to became warm so be aware to avoid cold showers.

We arrived late in the evening and were greeted by the very friendly staff. He showed us the rooms and explained everything. The mid-size room had a balcony with view on the castles. Cons: no air conditioner; the price list states that for 115€/night the room should have a balcony but ours didn't

Very nice hotel in the small town of Schwangau. Very friendly staff. If you arrive by bus, there is a bus stop just across the street. My only complaint is, since there is no air conditioning (normal for Europe) I slept with the windows open and I could here patrons at the small Italian restaurant across the street on their patio as late as 02:00 (2:00am)

Very enjoyable stay at the Zur Post. Rooms were simple but clean, sights from the hotel were lovely. Breakfast was generous and filling and everyone that worked there was very nice. Zur Post offers a nice accommodation. Our room was clean, spacious and had a great bathroom. Also the staff was helpful and friendly. The reason for one star less is the breakfast. It couldn't keep up with the overall good standard.

I specifically chose this place for my stay during an weekend as it was closer to St Coloman, where I planned for a morning Photography session. I am very glad that I chose this hotel for my visit to Neuschwanstein Castle. We stayed in the best room of this hotel with a balcony and a view of the castle right from the bed. This makes the trip even more romantic and truly special. The hotel staff is also very friendly.

There are only 2-3 short-term parking spaces at the main entrance on Kreuzweg. The large, free main car park is somewhat inconspicuously signposted: access shortly beforehand via Alten Schwinkelweg, then turn left at the intersection of Kröb/Kreuzweg/Tassiloweg. It's easy to drive past the sign and then have to turn around. Directly at the large main parking lot, e.g. on the terrace of the cafeteria...

Beautiful hotel with excellent service. The view is amazing. I fully recommend this hotel. There are castles few minutes away that are must to visit and learn more about the history and the culture. The view on the Alps is surreal.

Beautiful location for relaxation or fitness. The choice is yours. The staff make you feel valued and special. The resort is outstanding for accommodation restaurant, sauna, swimming and exercise programs. I have visited 4 times and have enjoyed it so much every time.

I felt very comfortable and well looked after: good therapists, nice room, delicious, varied food, nice staff, great landscape! Although the daily routine was fairly well-paced with treatments and meals, the rehab felt like three weeks of vacation.

The Hotel Christine is a lovely hotel. The rooms are comfortable and you have a shared balcony that runs along the side of the building. You can lower a metal screen for privacy of your room at night if other people are on the balcony. The breakfast is amazing! It is set up and waiting for you in the morning with fruit and breads, and smoked salmon, cheeses, cured meats, yogurt, etc. Then they bring...

Rooms are ok. We were given an unnecessary barrier-free room, which was a good size with a massive bathroom. If it was just room quality the hotel would not score great, but what really sells it is the location (superb) and the food. Breakfast pretty standard but dinner (we ate in the hotel two of the three nights we stayed) was delicious.

This is a perfect place to base yourself for a stay in Füssen. The hotel staff and the property's manager (Harald) are extremely attentive and professional - while the rooms themselves are recently renovated and very comfortable. This is a very nice hotel situated, conveniently close to the Altstadt of Füssen. The rooms are very comfortable, the views are amazing, and the breakfast buffet was great. Didn’t have time or opportunity to enjoy dinner here, but what I saw the food looked great as well. It’s very pretty inside and out.

We had a great stay at this hotel! It's super cute, and the location couldn’t be better—just a 5-minute walk to the main downtown area. Plus, there's a big grocery store nearby, which was really convenient. Our superior double room was nice, and they have breakfast buffet. I killed two silverfish in my unit upon arrival. There is no air con, there is just an air cooling system which may or may not work. The water drainage in my shower took a long time to drain, so the tiles in the whole washroom ended up being wet. Fortunately, it dried overnight. The set dinner was better than I expected with generous portions.

To save others from my snoring I got a private room, arranged as two single bunks. Room for bags under the bed but not much else. Male bathroom across the hall had one toilet & two showers- pick your times accordingly! (Spare toilet on the ground floor.) Comfy, quiet, welcoming common area downstairs with snacks and drinks available to purchase for just a few euros. I'd go back to Fussen any day! ...

I stay for 3 nights in one of the bunkbed rooms and it was pretty good, the service is nice and I had no overall issues sharing a room with strangers, most people who use the rooms are just hikers and travels looking to stay for a night or two, recommended if you just need a place to stay for a while

The rooms and common spaces were clean. The place is cozy, the location is great and they even gave towel in the same hostel price. Everything is more or less self service.

I liked the "karma bar" trust system for paying for drinks and snacks... The free coffee is really high quality, too... And the music selection playing was top. Comfy rooms and beds: I'd just recommend getting darker curtains as the streetlights outside are quite bright.

Like others have said, very well-located place to stay in Füssen that won't break the bank at all. My friend and I ended up with a family room for the two of us lol. Parking can get difficult, so just ask staff for some tips and they'll help you out. Lots of history to the place, so make sure you look around inside for evidence.

We arrived late in the afternoon and the staff recognize me as soon as I talk to her. They have private parking place and offer free parking. The room is clean and comfort to stay. Very nice breakfast and the staff is super nice and warm. We also tried their sauna and have good rest after a long day in Neuschwanstein. The only thing you need to note is that there's about 20 mins walk without a car...

Perfect location for getting around Fussen. €7 cab ride from train station. Good distance to city center for a walk. Great breakfast too.

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is located about 10-15 minutes walk from the town center and train station. I just walked it as the weather was nice but taking the bus or a taxi would be sensible in bad weather or if you have a lot of luggage. Nice dinner and breakfast. AC would have been nice as it got warm in the afternoon but not necessary.

It’s located at the outer edge of the town, about 5 minutes walk to the center, which to me is a plus because of the quietness it offers. Driving to parking lot 4 of the castles takes about 10 minutes. Our room is comfort room two twin beds; both the sleeping are and the bathroom are very clean and spacious. Having two twin beds works great for families with grown kids. Breakfast buffet exceeded expectations...

Was a quick overnight stay before visiting the castles. Room was ground floor next to the road but it wasn't that noisy. Did find a silverfish in the bathroom.

You can be lucky or unlucky with Best Western - today we were lucky! Modern hotel in older style building just on the edge of town and within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants and rail station. Good size room with modern shower room, all in excellent condition. Staff at both the bar and reception really helpful and excellent English. Didn't eat here so cannot comment on the food.

We loved our stay in Fussen. Great town with lots to do. The hotel was great with very friendly staff. Breakfast was great. Rent a car and explore the area. We were steps from the old town and the castle. Train station was only 15 minutes away by foot. I have stayed in many best Western hotels over the years and this was by far the best.

Clean hotel very close to the city center of Fuessen. Americans...don't be wary of the Best Western branding on this hotel. The European version of Best Western is nice and clean. Compare them to a Hilton Garden Inn or Courtyard by Marriott in the US. The breakfast was plentiful and affordable. Don't hesitate to book this hotel.

Great hotel! First Tip: if you are driving there, realize this hotel is on the pedestrian walking mall. There are set hours you can drive down the pedestrian mall (8-10am, 6-8pm). So arriving outside of those times, park in deck P5, a couple blocks away, they will take your parking ticket and give you one to use the rest of your stay at a discounted rate. This was a lovely hotel on a nice, pedestrian only street. The lady who checked us in was so nice and thought of everything. Thankfully she spoke English, as my German is nonexistent. The deluxe room was large and comfortable, with separate living and sleeping areas, and a lovely little balcony off of it to sip wine and take in the view. We loved this hotel. Very clean and beautiful room. We reserved a room with a balcony I highly recommend it. The balcony overlooked the beautiful cobblestone streets of Fussen. The department beautiful, the breakfast a luxury and although it is paid separately, is not expensive! But does not have a lift. With the luggage 3 floors and a half straight.. is Not good

This 3-star hotel decoration super nice, set of 2 a double room with a living room connection, so the design is very good, 2 couples or a family with small children staying very fit. From the Hohenschwangau Castle is also not far.
