A perfect place for family vacation. Clean and high quality rooms, very friendly staff. We loved the food, the chef is the expert of meats. Hotel is located in a lovely little village with a surprisingly big spa and a nice park for afternoon walks.

Very accommodative, friendly, welcoming. I am not a German speaker but they tried to communicate with me and make things very easy.

After dealing with multiple travel issues and delays, we were in need of win. Hotel Hilmer was a bright light at the end of a roughy day. They stayed up late to ensure we were able to check into our room and offered to make us dinner in the late hours, although we opted for just a beer. Customer service is outstanding, room was very clean and modern. The hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants, markets, bakeries, and beer gardens- although the food and beverage right at Hotel Helmer was delicious. Also within biking distance to all Schwangau has to offer. If you are thinking of visiting the area with children, Hotel Helmer was perfect. And Schwangau has a lot to offer families. Our kids were never bored! We hope we have the pleasure of returning someday.

Great hotel, great location and great service from the staff - small apartment on site was plenty of space to accommodate our family. Within walking distance of many restaurants and a short drive to the castles. We will be back.

Stayed here two nights with my family, had dinner once and breakfast twice. Clean and well maintained hotel. Very comfortable. Beautiful rooms, good beds and comfortable shower. The restaurant is very traditional. The dinner was great, I had the Oxes Steak which was fantastic and the others the Wiener Schnitzel. Which they greatly enjoyed. Food and drinks are reasonably priced. Breakfast was ok but dinner much better. Wasn’t impressed by the coffee. Staff was attentive, friendly and prompt.

Come for 11 years each year, minimum. 1x, that alone speaks already for itself. Always feel welcome and very comfortable. The great, rich Breakfast ( especially the fresh grain cereals) and the very good food enjoy. A family run Hotel, the you can only recommend. Will always come back.

House of tradition (the beautiful central building) that has adapted to the air of the time. New rooms on the other side of the street, very current, spacious and well-equipped, with a small seating area and balcony.
Welcome to the top, warm (small gift upon departure). Impeccable cleanliness.
Breakfast very rich and varied, in a nice room traditional. Change of scenery, a place that exudes serenity. Not very far from the lake and close to the main street. Free Parking.

We felt in this week very comfortable.In the case of the accommodation and catering there was nothing to complain about. Family Helmer and the staff were again warm and friendly.We have spent three years ago, our holiday there once and it is guaranteed to not be the last Time. :)
