This hotel is beautifully designed. Very modern and stylish, clean rooms, and a well sized wellness area with pool, saunas, outdoor relaxing space, and a quiet room overlooking the lake. The location is really good (depending on what you're hoping for). You're so close to all the attractions: Neuschwanstein, Hochschwangau, Alpsee etc. but that does mean the little area you're in is has quite a few...

Amazing hotel, great staff and a wonderful place. The pool was wonderful with an amazing view of the mountains. My wife went for a spa treatment which was also great. One of the best hotels I have stopped in, and in a great location in Neuschwanstein, right by the lake.

I was here as a guest. The meal was excellent. I had to pay for the guest card. But I didn’t get any with the advice that I’m not allowed to meet any gatherings outside anyway. Understand that who wants.

Very nice area

We had a great experience there. Very friendly and well-trained staff. The price might seems a bit too much at first but trust me, it worth every euro you spent here. Highly recommend for your up coming trip.

Bring that its off season, that is the reason why I rated service 4 stars. I am very sure that it would be 5 stars when fully operational. The location is ideal being only less than 5 minutes from Hohenshwangau and Neushwanstein castles. The rooms are very comfortable and in the corridor has a vending machine for beers and hot water kettles are available as well with coffee and tea complimentary.

This hotel is in the perfect location! Just a short drive or about a 20 minute walk to the castles. All of the employees were very kind. The food was delicious. We especially loved the beautiful dining room with views of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel is situated in the perfect spot for sightseeing, and the view is beautiful! Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very kind. Loved saying hello to the pet rabbits in the backyard. We would absolutely stay again!

Super friendly staff and great location. The room itself was clean if a bit dated. Dinner on site was very good - I highly recommend the Potato Pancakes. Located a short 3 minute drive or 15 minute walk to the nearby Castles. Parking was included.

Beautiful, family-operated accommodation. The view of the castles was spectacular to enjoy. Everyone was very friendly. Breakfast had a nice spread of options. They also had better soaps/shampoo compared to other places we’ve stayed. We would definitely stay here again.

Spent one night at this small, quite and charming Inn very Neuschwanstein Castle, next to a crop farm. Seems to ran by a family that also operate the kitchen. (English menus are available). Large clean room with large bathroom. Nice staff. Nice location. Only negative was no extra blanket in the room. We like to sleep with the room cool, so the 2 twin size blankets (1 for each of us) left us a bit cool.

The hotel is located right next to the Forggensee. Some rooms offer a view over the lake, but some don't. The rooms themselves were very tidy and spacious, though a bit old-fashioned. There is a restaurant that serves local dishes and drinks. The outdoor seating is quite limited for a hotel this big. The breakfast buffet was located indoors, but I found it pretty basic and unsophisticated.

I never was in the hotel but Restaurant it's excellent... friendly personal, perfect classic food in Bavarian kitchen style...

Great small room,for me,there are bigger rooms too. The food and staff very helpful. There is a short walk up the lake and other restaurants near by. Please stay a few days to unwind enjoy the people,the foods,the views and the fresh air.

We arrived late in the afternoon and the staff recognize me as soon as I talk to her. They have private parking place and offer free parking. The room is clean and comfort to stay. Very nice breakfast and the staff is super nice and warm. We also tried their sauna and have good rest after a long day in Neuschwanstein. The only thing you need to note is that there's about 20 mins walk without a car...

It is a very beautiful place, the staff are very nice, good food, and beautiful rooms. Everything was perfect. Is not far from the city or the castles. If you take into consideration all the facilities is not that expesive. I definitely recommend this place and i will come back.

Very enjoyable stay at the Zur Post. Rooms were simple but clean, sights from the hotel were lovely. Breakfast was generous and filling and everyone that worked there was very nice. Stayed here twice, and will again. Great location, lovely rooms, good food. Both times with nice balcony views of the castles across the way. Well situated at the south end of the Romantische Strasse just when the Alps are looming. Pretty impressive with the castles and the mountains in view.

My Go To hotel when in the area. Great host and excellent location. Short walk away from all Schwangau attractions; castle, sky, hike. Highly recommended.

Zur Post offers a nice accommodation. Our room was clean, spacious and had a great bathroom. Also the staff was helpful and friendly. The reason for one star less is the breakfast. It couldn't keep up with the overall good standard.

I will never forget this place . I had such a special , meaningful stay here . The village of Schwangau is so magical it feels like it’s straight out from a fairytale book . Very nice hotel in the small town of Schwangau. Very friendly staff. If you arrive by bus, there is a bus stop just across the street. My only complaint is, since there is no air conditioning (normal for Europe) I slept with the windows open and I could here patrons at the small Italian restaurant across the street on their patio as late as 02:00 (2:00am)

Fantastic views, and everything was adequate. I especially liked the roll down zombie defense window protection on the windows. Yes, the is really a roll down metal shutter on each of the windows in our room. I have no idea why, but I have never felt safer sleeping in a hotel. The only negative thing I can think of is the shower. There was a hand held shower head, but the only mounting place for it...

The location is amazing. Quiet, near the lake and not far away from Schwangau. Near you can find a pony farm and buy local food from farmers. The room is clean, service 5+, breakfast is really good. A little bonus, there is a small kitchen, so if you need to cook something it's really easy.

The best hotel we could have chosen, perfect location, amazing friendly staff, beautiful interior design and squeaky clean. The breakfast is also delicious!! Plus you can buy little jars of their homemade jam. If you’re thinking of staying around here, definitely go to this hotel! :)))

Perfect Stay. Very warm and welcoming Staff/Hosts. Nice Rooms with Balconies full of flowers and relaxing possibilities. Very nice breakfast with lost of healthy & self made stuff. Beautiful backyard for kids. 1 Minute to the lake. Some rooms are even extraordinarily spacious and well equipped. A small kitchen for quick self service.

We liked our stay in here mainly thanks to proximity to castles and Fussen by walking distance. Room was cozy and clean, bfast very good as well.

We didn't stay here but I would assume its excellent 👌 as well. We did have dinner here after our trip to Hohenschwangau Castle. The service was great and friendly and many locals visit its restaurant from what we witnessed. The food was excellent 👌 and portions are large and reasonably priced. The beers 🍻... oh so good 👍 😋. A must try as well. Atmosphere...typical Bavarian. 👍

The hotel was close to the castles and to Fussen for dinner and drinks at night. The room was clean and accommodating, but the manager was a tad rude. When we first walked in he would not even acknowledge our presence, but then some German's came in and he seemed to warm up a bit.

Stayed here September 2017. Klaus the owner is awesome. Great sense of humor, he was shocked that we had 3 Siberian huskies! The location is pretty much unbeatable, you are right down the road from the castles and can see them on a beautiful short walk from the inn.

We were very warmly greeted by our host, who told us about some attractions we might want to see before showing us up to our room and explaining the ins and outs of how things worked. I specifically chose this place for my stay during an weekend as it was closer to St Coloman, where I planned for a morning Photography session. The whole check in was contactless and we'll coordinated through messages. The Hotel also has a dining room at ground floor, which I didn't use. The rooms, stairways are all traditional style and great for the aesthetic sense. Close to the Schwangau Rathaus...

I am very glad that I chose this hotel for my visit to Neuschwanstein Castle. We stayed in the best room of this hotel with a balcony and a view of the castle right from the bed. This makes the trip even more romantic and truly special. The hotel staff is also very friendly.

I stayed with my partner for a few nights and we were initially worried about not having a car, but the bus from Füssen bahnhof drops off right next to the hotel. What a gem! The staff is warm and welcoming. They walked us to our room. They gave us plenty of useful information about the area. Breakfast in the morning is unbelievable, the selection of fresh breads, cheese, cold cuts, spread and fresh fruits is amazing. The room was spacious and very clean. The shower in the morning takes long time to became warm so be aware to avoid cold showers.
