Hotel Leipzig City Nord by Campanile

For 68€ the small room (listed as standard, but it's much smaller than the photos seem) is ok, good location by the S-bahn. There is parking, but when we called to ask about it we didn't recieve some critical information, such as you have to go into the hotel before parking (not so easy in the busy city streets) and this resulted in paying almost double. We also stayed on a gift card issued from the hotel, but the staff is not trained in processing these, took several emails to get it sorted. The building is nice, though there interior could use a new carpet. Overall it's an acceptable hotel for the price.

The location is great, only four tram stops from the centre. However, the Hotel is located directly on a well-used road, so there are many cars a noise level. The rooms are well-equipped and has everything you need, except Wi-Fi. However, the carpet seems to be clean, in the shower, I had to find to my horror mold. Conclusion: for a 3 star Hotel it is quite in order, there is a need for improvement in the cleanliness.

Pleasing is the good accessibility and the courteous staff, as well as the price-performance ratio was overall (location, Breakfast, quiet room to the inner courtyard). Unfortunately, the room (No. 216) was in a worse condition; the carpet was very stained and in the shower mold on the silicone seals wide. The W-LAN was so slow that not even a E-Mail without the Wait.
