This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the start, things felt off. There were steep stairs at the entrance and no elevator. The receptionist, Felix, saw us struggling with our luggage. When we asked for help, he was rude and clearly annoyed. He eventually helped, but only after grumbling and making it obvious he didn’t want to.

The room was tiny, and the breakfast was extremely poor—barely anything to eat. But things went from bad to worse when we discovered that €500 had been stolen from our room.

The reception isn’t open 24/7—it opens at 12:30 PM and closes after 8 PM, which is already unacceptable for a hotel. When we realized our money was missing, we called Felix. He immediately denied the possibility of theft, saying their staff “can’t do that” and that it was “impossible.” Instead of showing up to check the situation, he told us he was off and that someone else would come in three hours.

Eventually, another staff member arrived. We explained everything to him, and he said the owner would come at 2 PM. We waited in the hotel all day, and the owner finally showed up around 7 PM. When he arrived, he didn’t try to help—he simply told us to call the police and refused to take any responsibility.

There were no security cameras, no safe in the room, and no way to know who entered. They provided absolutely no help or answers. At one point, the owner even began making us feel nervous and uncomfortable, saying things like “if it’s true, we’ll call the police,” as if we were lying. He even started shouting at us, making the situation even more stressful and upsetting.

We eventually called the police ourselves to make sure we had done everything possible. They came around midnight and opened a case, but with no evidence—just the Egyptian currency left where our money had been—they couldn’t promise much.

This hotel has no safety, no professionalism, and no respect for its guests. I would strongly advise everyone to stay away.

I stayed at this hotel with my family – my wife, my parents, my aunt, and my mother-in-law. What was supposed to be a relaxing trip turned into a nightmare. One morning, we all left the room together to explore the city. When we returned later that day, we discovered that 500 euros had been stolen from my mother’s purse, which she had left inside the room.

This was a huge loss for us, and it completely ruined our experience. We reported it immediately, but the staff offered no real help or solution. There was no follow-up, no apology, and no attempt to investigate. It’s shocking and extremely upsetting to think that something like this could happen in a place where guests are supposed to feel safe.

I would strongly advise others to be very cautious if you decide to stay here.

Nice hotel but parking is not convenient especially if you have luggage/kids. There are few steps to reach lift on the ground floor (not convenient if you have heavy luggage or kids buggy).
While booking there is no information that parking space is not directly at hotel’s location but ~150m away, which is an open space without any light at night and if raining, hard to move your luggage on the ground (no hard floor). On top you have to pay 13€ extra for such an inconvenience.
You get information on remote parking once you have booked the hotel.

Rooms: Good with plenty of space and all amenities.
Breakfast: Good breakfast with lot of options.
Atmosphere Building is old but well maintained from inside.
Parking: hotel parking not convenient. At night hard to find parking on nearby streets.
Owner/Service: Nice ans friendly.
