Holiday Inn Express -, an IHG Hotel

The hotel is conveniently located, clean and hygienic, and the front desk service is good. They helped my son and I upgrade to a room with a sofa. The hotel is fully equipped, well-planned, with soft bedding, good lighting and ventilation, and the buffet breakfast is very rich and fresh! Super good, highly recommended!

The king-size bed suite is not too big, but the price/performance ratio is OK.
When I checked in, the hotel gave me a standard room because I needed two single beds. This was quite funny. It might be that there was a deviation between the Ctrip specialist's statement and the hotel's understanding, and it was finally resolved.
The fresh air system in the room is not working, the bathroom has no exhaust function, and the window cannot be opened. So the room smells very rich after dining.
Advantages: convenient transportation, many supermarkets nearby, cheap price, simple kitchen
Disadvantages: The sanitation is not cleaned every day, and the breakfast is simple

I had an excellent experience staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Offenbach. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive, ensuring I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The rooms were spotless, modern, and well-appointed, providing a perfect balance of comfort and convenience.
The breakfast was a standout, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that catered to different tastes. The location was also perfect, with easy access to local attractions and transport links. Overall, my stay exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Offenbach. I’ll definitely return!

It‘s a very cute and cozy hotel located not far from an S-Bahn station which makes it easy to travel to. And for the price you pay it’s totally worth it and we really enjoyed the breakfast they serve.

Mixed feelings about this one. I’ll just break it up into pros and cons.

Pros:
The location is phenomenal. Right next to an amazing bakery and a grocery store.
Easy pick up for uber
Friendly staff
Free breakfast
Great price per night!

Cons:
I had a pillar in the middle of my room. This was EXTREMELY annoying getting to the bathroom
No laundry service or washing machines. Nearest mat is about a km walk
Breakfast is limited and is a nightmare after 9am

For a night or two I’d recommend this spot. For a week or more, it’s more difficult to recommend.

Our room was quiet most of the night although we had a few knocking sounds from main door. We suspected it was due to the air pressure built up from corridor as our room was near the end of corridor. The room carpet was tainted with stains but that didn’t affect us. Hotel was near to subway station and took less than 30mins from main train station.

For me this experience was just above 3 stars but overall the hotel is a solid 4. The positives: location is nice for the area and the attached grocery store was wonderful, I also walked for dinner each of the 2 evenings. The shared underground garage parking was convenient and safe (I'm on a motorcycle). It was clean, bedding and towels are as expected and service was nice and they did acknowledge my Platinum Elite status with an upgrade to a large suite (handicap accessible). Breakfast was busy but good for a HI Express. Here are the reasons I would NOT book this hotel again: while it's recently renovated they did not include ventilation in the bathroom and the door will not stay open (I propped it open with a clothing hanger), the water temperature was all over the place and you really need to be careful not to burn yourself, the toilet often had a bad smell (one morning I smelt it in the reception area on my way to breakfast), did not flush consistently and the floor is not sloped properly so the water from the shower is all over the bathroom and they do not have the standard Holiday Inn Dove products (this isn't a major issue for me but they do not provide any body lotion). The suite had a lot of amenities that I was not informed of but I eventually found: a washer dryer combo (you must have the key card in the slot otherwise if you leave (like I did) the washing will not continue), a drawer with no handle or cutout to open it but that's where the cutlery / silverware is located, a dishwasher! and a very nice refrigerator with freezer and a microwave, plus a few dishes. These appliances do not come with any instructions and when I called for assistance they sent up a maintenance person (this was when I said my washing machine was on for 5 hrs and he asked if I left the key in the slot and I said no. I suggested that they leave instructions on the inside of the cabinet door and he agreed to pass on that suggestion to management). I struggled with the microwave also and no dishwasher detergent so I left a few dishes in the sink. Ok the biggest issue I had was the noise of running footsteps for a few hours each evening until midnight above me. I don't know if it was another holiday inn suite or a private condo as it's a mixed building. The balcony was very nice and includes automatic security / privacy roll down metal doors on the exterior, you are facing a lot of other neighbors! FYI No furniture on the balcony.

Holiday inn express in Germany is a trusted option for me. Rooms have similar standard layout, bathroom is neat and bright, cleaniness is respectable. Furthermore it comes with breakfast! Seldom in Germany you’ll get hotels with decent breakfast to start your work day on a right note
