MAXX Hotel Sanssouci Potsdam

I’d like to thank your hotel employee Chris (sorry, if the name is spelled incorrectly) for his prompt service! He was super polite, attentive, responsive.
I booked a room at your hotel early this Christmas morning, but due to a system error, there was a double booking, which could have resulted in me being charged double. I called your hotel & in just a couple of mins the problem was completely solved in the best possible way!🤩 Thank you for being so accomodative❤️

The location is just perfect. Breakfast also very good. The downfall for me was the smell of the room, the fact that the TV had no internet connection (smart tv) and no charger in one of the bed sides.

In general I would recommend.

Located in a quiet side street, right next to a gate for entering Sanssouci Park, and right next to the main street that stretches from the mini version of the Brandenburget Tor, this hotel is a good place to explore Potsdam, and Berlin, for that matter. Easily accessible by car, with in-house parking, Mind you, the ramp to the underground garage can be a bit tricky, as it is quite narrow, and the parking spaces too are not easily manoeuvered into. Nice rooms, just make sure you book one with AC, otherwise it can be really hot in summer. Windows that really keep the street noise outside, really good. Ample breakfast with a wide selection of hot and cold, bread, pastry and fruit; the only thing missing were some fresh vegetables like cucumber, tomatoes or peppers. Excellent coffee machine. Five minutes from the nearest bus stop at Luisenplatz Süd that takes you to the train station in another 5 minutes, and from there you will reach Berlin city centre with a direct train in 30 minutes or so. For us it was perfect: Visit Berlin, but stay and relax in a quiet place.

Small boutique hotel, well-maintained, short walk to the city centre. The rooms with windows towards the street seem to lack a soundproofing a little bit. The others with garden views are good.

The food served in the restaurant is good (goulash with potato gnocchi was top).

The hotel staff is kind and helpful. There is also a garden with outdoor seating and chess game.

The bar and the restaurant does not seem to be always open. During our stay ot was closed on Monday and Sunday. But there are plenty of dining options in the near neibourhood, so no big deal.

The hotel was renovated and is now very nice and modern. The beds are very very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent and abundant. Traveling for business and the confort is very appreciated.

Nice hotel with large clean rooms a stone's throw away from the Brandenburg Tor. Food at the bistro was quite unispiring but there are some great places to eat nearby. Car Park was full but there is a public car park a few meters away (it's also cheaper to park here)

Advantages:
- Top location for a visit to the castle Park and the downtown area
- Underground Parking in the house
- Very nice staff
- Quiet, well-insulated window
- Good range of food and drinks
- Conveniently, the sauna area, but not with the SPA to be confused
- The Hotel's Own Bicycle Rental
- Flexible room cleaning (time pressure)

Cons:
- Underground Parking a bit expensive (15€ p. day)
Wi - Fi is too slow and too expensive, not anymore !
- a little to bright of hearing rooms doors

delicious Breakfast, pleasant acquaintances in the hotel bar, great Hotel, very pleasant staff and clean rooms! The Sauna and steam room is also worth a visit!
For a weekend the trip is exactly!
