Happy Land lives up to it's name! Lovely hotel, on walking distance from the city center of Luxor. The key at Happy Land is simplicity: rooms are very basic but everything you need is there. Lovely family-owned business with an extremely helpful staff. The guys at the reception are are just fantastic, they are more than happy to assist you with all your needs. Absolutely perfect location and the staff is incredibly helpful with everything you need: Tours, drivers, cheap incrdible food, atm, temple info, everything. Rooms are clean and neat, with all the amenities. Really good experience in Egypt. As a solo traveller that has been to more than 100 hostels all over the world, I can definitely recommend it as a really great place in luxor.

Beautiful palace with free open access to visitors. There is a dress code but honestly if you are and look as a tourist don't worry about it. There is a restaurant at the backyard and indoors (gourmet). We visited the bar indoors where we had excellent cocktails with a light classic music.

This hotel is incredibly charming with an amazing garden and beautiful historic rooms. Though showing some signs of wear. The outdoor pool was perfect for cooling down after a long day of tours and the front terrace has a sunset view over the Nile. The breakfast was extensive and delicious. It was by far the best meal of the day. The staff were friendly and courteous.

The hotel is amazing and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure guests are happy. Everyone is very polite and eager to help in any way. The restaurants and gardens are beautiful and a nice place to relax from the noise of the city. The rooms are also beautiful with attention to detail.

If you want a stainless steel and glass affair with gym etc. you are looking at the wrong hotel If you want the sort of service from days gone by, in a building to match, this is the place

The place is great for making friends while traveling, located in a very lively spot in the city, close to everything you need, the people are helpful and friendly. The place is very simple, air-conditioning is not that good, bathroom amenities also not so good but the bathrooms are clean, it's the go to spot if you staying for a couple of days in Luxor without having to pay alot. I recommend it.

Friendly hosts. Outdoor seating area. Some rooms have private bathrooms. Air conditioned rooms. The mattress need replaced. At the end of a dead end street, so more quiet than other hostels and hotels.

Great hostel! VERY basic, but cheap solo room. Common areas are not super great, but it is still easy to meet people. Rooftop is in disrepair, and breakfast is not very good. The tours they arrange are super cheap, and amazing value. The hot air balloon was 650 EGP and it is a MUST DO! Also the tour to the valley of the kings was nice, even though the low price tag came with visiting some souvenir...

Great staff. Super helpful. Even though it was a budget hotel (150 le for AC), the offered free coffee and tea. The helped me out and when I was disappointed with a tour they got me my money back. Very homey. Recommended for any budget traveler.

Good for a Budget room. I booked a night there and it was good but the bathroom door didn't close. Hot and Cold water are available in the bathroom and working. AC was working with no temperature control only on and off and you can't change the direction of the air.

Strong A/C. Good value. Good WiFi. Location near the ferry. The owners helped me with tours and picked me up from the train station for $2. The rooms are not opulent but it was a great refuge from the heat and hassle of Luxor. I was comfortable and I would return.

Best location in very economical price to visit whole east side by walk. Rooms are average as on trip u just went there to sleep so they are good enough for peaceful sleep. Location is the best advantage. Staff and manager is very cooperative

Nice hotel to stay with family. This is an old building, close to the Nile and tourist places. The rooms were clean. To get hot water you need to open the tap and wait for more than 10 minutes. Breakfast and room service were good. Good value for the money.

It's perfect considering the price they are charging. The staff are very friendly, one of the best to ever find in a hotel. I haven't tried the restuarant fully, I only tried the breakfast and it's very good, the taste and the portions you get are enough to keep you full until 7PM. The rooms are good, the beds are comfy and you will sleep well. There's no WiFi and the TV services are not enough...

The quality of the place is fair comparing the price! The service is good. The location is better than many other options as it is closer to the Nile, not far from the interesting places but it is quieter than the very centre. People there are very welcoming

One of the best place during our twenty traveling days in Egypt! Very comfortable rooms, gentle staff, in a quiet aerea (which is luxury in the cities along the Nil). Yet the Kings Valley is not far: West (side of Luxor) is the best! The food is good and the prices are always reasonable (another luxury). Ahmed is a nice manager and "the queen" an excellent cooker! I highly recommand this place.

We were a family of five and had three rooms at Gold Ibis. We were made very welcome from the start - the room was spotlessly keen and the beds had been beautifully prepared. We boooked the hotel in May 2022. It’s location is good and it’s just walkable distance to public ferry and 15 for the valley of kings and queens. From terrace we can see nice night View. It’s first time Luxor for us they picked up us first time and staff members are polite and it’s secure. Breakfast is good too.

Breakfast is very good. You can ask for some fruit, milk or anything and they are happy to help you. The rooms are clean, quiet (not much noice from prayings) and bed is big enough. The only minor issue is when you take a shower the bathroom gets wet because there are no curtains. Price-quality this is a very good hotel (16 euro's per day)

It's a really nice hotel, located in a small and silent street on the east side of Nil in Luxor. The rooms were clean, they have a nice rooftop where you can enjoy a fresh breakfast and especially the owner Mahmoud was really kind. He prepared the breakfast by himself and was there for us 24/7 if we had any questions. And of course the donkeys and the camels from the neighbors are lovely.

I know the owner Mahmoud since 1988 when he worked for Sheikh Aly as a cook. Eating at Noir El-Gourna is like to jump back into the past and find back of the most pure "gurnay" tradition. They look colorful and they taste genuine. Pay a visit if you really want to dive into the real gurna experience!!!

My favourite place on the West Bank of Luxor to have a delicious, authentic Egyptian meal. I was in a desperate situation. I had heard about it before but went somewhere else instead. When I came to this hostel. The staff was friendly and wanted to help me. They even let me stay in the lounge for most of the day until my bus ride to my next stop. Can't recommend them enough. If your a solo backpacker, vacationer, or anything else. Conveniently located on the West Bank of Luxor, close to the Valley of the Kings and Queen Hatshepsut temple. A bit far from the Airport(30 kms) by road, but the owner Ahmed is very cooperative and will arrange for an Airport Shuttle at any hour. The rooms are apartment like and provide a good view of the river from the Balcony and roof tops. The East Bank(luxor downtown) is only a boat ride away.
