A very cozy hostel. I enjoyed my stay there. Mr. Mahmoud and the staff are very kind, honest and co-operative. The rooftop is amazing and so comfy for having breakfast or sharing the moment with the people staying there and having a funny time. The room is clean and also the bathroom. The continental breakfast was delicious and really fulfilling. The coffee -for a person that loves coffee to the moon...

Happy Land lives up to it's name! Lovely hotel, on walking distance from the city center of Luxor. The key at Happy Land is simplicity: rooms are very basic but everything you need is there. The rooftop terras is definately a big plus, you can have your breakfast in the sun here and chill here in the evening after a long day. I spent a night. It was not crowded. The room is clean and well maintained. The owner is very kind and doesn't insist on a tour.

Nice enough rooms with basic breakfast. What sets it apart is the great location and the delicious food and Nile views from its rooftop restaurant. Try the cauliflower and the moussaka. Superb!

The location and the rooftop restaurant/terrace are the main selling points of the hotel. The staff were the friendliest we encountered throughout Egypt and were kind, helpful and friendly. Lovely family-owned business with an extremely helpful staff. The guys at the reception are are just fantastic, they are more than happy to assist you with all your needs. Our bathroom was a bit lacking, and the breakfast could be improved, but the view from the rooftop made up for it. A recommended choice in Luxor.

Very nice and friendly staff. Comfy rooms and close to the Luxor temple and museum. If you dont like city noise this is not the place for you. The restaurant next to the hotel has very good food. Highly recommend.

While in Aswan, I was convinced by another solo traveler that this is the best place to stay and after a 3 night stay I realized she was definitely correct. Very nice employees! They offer interesting tours with good prices. We got fresh juice everything we arrived at the hostel and were treated very kindly. The food was also very good. There is a nice rooftop with good view. The rooms are clean and cool.

First of all the hostel is great value for money. Our room was spacious, decently clean, air - conditioned,towels, soap..etc provided. Food was good, served at the roof top. But most importantly the great thing is the very kind staff. They would help you with anything, from just offering you a cup of nice coffee or tea to arranging our Ballon trip and visit to Valley of the Kings. All at a good price...

The hotel is located close to many amenities, train and bus stations, and Luxor temple. The rooms are clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Good value for the price.

Great staff. Super helpful. Even though it was a budget hotel (150 le for AC), the offered free coffee and tea. The helped me out and when I was disappointed with a tour they got me my money back. Very homey. Recommended for any budget traveler.

Good for a Budget room. I booked a night there and it was good but the bathroom door didn't close. Hot and Cold water are available in the bathroom and working. AC was working with no temperature control only on and off and you can't change the direction of the air.

The place is great for making friends while traveling, located in a very lively spot in the city, close to everything you need, the people are helpful and friendly. The place is very simple, air-conditioning is not that good, bathroom amenities also not so good but the bathrooms are clean, it's the go to spot if you staying for a couple of days in Luxor without having to pay alot. I recommend it.

Friendly hosts. Outdoor seating area. Some rooms have private bathrooms. Air conditioned rooms. The mattress need replaced. At the end of a dead end street, so more quiet than other hostels and hotels.

Great hostel! VERY basic, but cheap solo room. Common areas are not super great, but it is still easy to meet people. Rooftop is in disrepair, and breakfast is not very good. The tours they arrange are super cheap, and amazing value. The hot air balloon was 650 EGP and it is a MUST DO! Also the tour to the valley of the kings was nice, even though the low price tag came with visiting some souvenir...

Prices okay Staffs are fine too Very noisey to get sleep, theres like a school next to the building full of little kids They help with tours and laundry and stuff But if I was to come back to Luxor, wouldnt choose this hotel due to proximity. Most of hostels here are more or less the same, so would go for cheaper and nearer ones. (Near to the train station)

Venus hostels is a family hotel very central to the luxor museum and souq. Breakfast was great, I particularly liked the falafel and even gave us more when asked. We also did late check out for free which was much appreciated after a long day visiting the West bank. The also arranged a taxi for us at a good price to visit the west side. Very good money value, well located nearby the Luxor temple, the market and railway. The service was very good, a good breakfast included, and they let me rest in a room after check out before my night train to Aswan. Not a luxurious hotel but a very good deal in Luxor.

Hassan is a very hospitable host. He wants to make sure you are always at ease by sharing a cup a tea or water. The hotel is always open 24/7, nice for late arrivals, and they are quiet friendly. Absolutely perfect location and the staff is incredibly helpful with everything you need: Tours, drivers, cheap incrdible food, atm, temple info, everything. Rooms are clean and neat, with all the amenities. Really good experience in Egypt. As a solo traveller that has been to more than 100 hostels all over the world, I can definitely recommend it as a really great place in luxor.

Beautiful palace with free open access to visitors. There is a dress code but honestly if you are and look as a tourist don't worry about it. There is a restaurant at the backyard and indoors (gourmet). We visited the bar indoors where we had excellent cocktails with a light classic music.

This hotel is incredibly charming with an amazing garden and beautiful historic rooms. Though showing some signs of wear. The outdoor pool was perfect for cooling down after a long day of tours and the front terrace has a sunset view over the Nile. The breakfast was extensive and delicious. It was by far the best meal of the day. The staff were friendly and courteous.

No gym or spa but it doesn't need it, it's beauty is in its authenticity The only improvement I could suggest is they have a better look out on the pool for placing orders..... The hotel is amazing and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure guests are happy. Everyone is very polite and eager to help in any way. The restaurants and gardens are beautiful and a nice place to relax from the noise of the city. The rooms are also beautiful with attention to detail.

Great Wi-Fi, nice service from the staff, and wonderful views of the Nile! The owner walked us to a great restaurant the first night when we arrived around 10. Breakfast was also nice and served on the rooftop!

Strong A/C. Good value. Good WiFi. Location near the ferry. The owners helped me with tours and picked me up from the train station for $2. The rooms are not opulent but it was a great refuge from the heat and hassle of Luxor. I was comfortable and I would return.

Mr Mamdow, the owner of the place is the most amazing host I've ever met. His kindness has no limits. He was very generous when I visited his place. He arranged the historical expeditions and hot air balloon for me at best rates. Cooked really nice food and gave me a clean place to stay. Can't forget his ever smiling face and cheerful nature!
