We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sonesta with a great view over the Nile from our balcony. Two highlights of our room was watching the hot air balloons in the morning and the mountains lighting up at night. Our room steward, Selah, was sensational keeping our room in top condition and cleanliness. The hotel is situated close to all facilities with tour operators generally offering pick up and drop...
The hotel is very good, the best hotel and service I experienced during my 15-day trip to Egypt. The hotel has its own boat that takes you to explore the Nile at sunset, which is a great way to relax after a tiring day. The boat can be booked directly at the front desk, and a private charter for one hour per person is 150EP, but I would like to remind everyone that there will be accidents when you...
The hotel was at a great location. The service was phenomenal, the staff is so helpful and friendly. The rooms were so neat and clean. And the views are absolutely gorgeous from the hotel depending where your rooms located. The restaurants at the hotels are really good.
Everything about this hotel was perfect. But what really made my stay perfect, was the staff. Every single member of the staff that I encountered were top notch. They deserve better than a 5 star rating. I ate at both The Hibachi and The Italian restaurant, and the food was delicious. Hotel was spotless. Nice lounge to have a drink at the end of the night also. I highly recommend this hotel.
This is a beautiful hotel. The staff is amazing and I was blown away by the hospitality. Clara was a great help to my friend and I. She answered all of our questions, helped us find a place for exchange and gave us wonderful recommendations. I highly recommend you give this beautiful hotel a try if you are in Luxor. If you don’t want to leave the hotel they have many accommodations you would need on...
I just spent a few days here with a friend, and I highly recommend the Sonesta St. George Hotel in Luxor for an unforgettable luxury stay. The hotel is ideally located on the banks of the Nile, offering breathtaking views of the river and easy access to Luxor's historical sites, such as the temples of Karnak and Luxor. You can enjoy the proximity to major attractions while relaxing in a peaceful setting...

Great room and staff. Locations slightly south of main attraction. Great view of the Nile river. 400 Egyptian pound breakfast buffet reasonable.
Had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Luxor! The location was perfect for exploring the city's main attractions, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed for a great visit. Would definitely stay here again!
We were here only for lunch. The atmosphere is very nice and the location directly at the Nile is amazing. The food is good. The service is good as well, although it was bit hectic and payment wasn’t that easy.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Steigenberger Resort Achti, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The warm and attentive staff made me feel like part of their family, creating an atmosphere of genuine hospitality. Every detail was thoughtfully attended to, from the comfortable and well-appointed room to the delicious meals. The personalized service and friendly interactions...
We’ve been here just for the lunch while we were visiting Luxor’s temple: the hotel itself is situated on the Nile, having a pool by the river. The lunch was good yet, since we weren’t actual hosts of the hotel, the waiters were a bit rude with us, forcing us to sit in a specific zone and hurrying us to leave the table while still eating. Nonetheless this hotel seems nice for it guests.
Steigenberger has to be one of the best hotels I lodged during my stay in Egypt. Really friendly staff, their service was top notch, the ambience was just amazing and the rooms were really neat and functional. I had a view overlooking the Nile. I loved every bit of my stay here. ☺️ Would definitely recommend their establishment

Great location to major attractions and restaurants. Aly (manager), GiGi, and Badwin took great care of us the entire time. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Food at restaurant out of this world amazing. I had the spicy chicken kebab and ate all of it. I'm a give foodie! The rooms were clean and had a view of the Nile river. Would stay here again. I booked my stay based on reviews.
The location is perfect, and the service is excellent. Rooms are Ok, style of Mercure hotels, but (as per 2017) needed some renovations. It's 10 minutes walk from Luxor temple, nile view, and I think it's the closest hotel to El Karnak temple.
All round an extremely enjoyable stay! I loved the location and the staff, which made my time in Luxor very pleasant. The rooms too are great and the prices are great value for money.
Gigi is the kindest and most professional hotel host. They took very good care of us when we got sick. Nice breakfast and fruits in the room.
Very nice hotel in a great location on the East Bank. Friendly and helpful staff, great pool, nice spacious rooms with many Nile views. The restaurant food is decent and caters to the tourist palette (if you are after delicious, authentic food best to go into the city centre). We also visited the spa and had a salt treatment and full body massage. The spa staff were very welcoming and the massage was...

A great hotel with lots of history. Really beautiful grounds. Convenient having hassle-free shops inside. Really centrally located - walkable to key sights. The bathroom design was a bit strange, specifically the showers. But overall very comfortable rooms. The service little old-world stuffy for my liking, but would be loved by an older crowd.
Have not stayed here yet. We dropped in for some refreshments at two different locations. First, after a stroll about the gardens - we stopped at the poolside cafe to have some beer. We asked for nuts but the staff said we would need to go inside to the bar for that. No problem and we enjoyed the beer - the staff then later presented us with a plate of French fries on the house since they didn’t have...
This room was amazing, breakfast was great, and staff were really helpful and professional. Above all the location was very perfect. Right across the street from the boat leading to the air balloon tours, and 10min cab ride to Karnak temple, and a few minutes to Luxor temple. The staff was really nice which was the most notable part of the stay! Thanks!
No words will can describe the beauty, character and charm of this amazing historical hotel built 1907. Everything is just beautiful, each corner of the building has amazing atmosphere. The Garden is flowery and the tweeting of the birds are so amazing. You just feel the royalty 👑 everywhere
hello. I hope everyone who reads this review takes it seriously. I stayed at this hotel for 3 days, and on the second day, I started to feel really itchy. Of course, I thought it was a mosquito bite, so I endured it. By the third day it was even more itchy so I checked my bed for possible bed bugs. The condition of the bed was truly terrible. I could easily spot signs of bed bugs. I told the hotel...
Excellent hotel and even better staff and service. The room amenities were great, and the Nile view was unbeatable. The staff go out of their way to serve you and more than live up to the hotel’s name and reputation. Staying here was the highlight of my time in Egypt.

We spent a night at the Iberotel Luxor before catching a ship to Aswan. The hotel is close to the Luxor airport and convenient to town. The front desk was efficient in checking us in and provided all the information needed when requested. I enjoyed the 24 hour room service since our flight arrived late into the night. The food  (fish fillet) surpassed expectations and was brought to us not long after...
We had an amazing time at Iberotel. The staff made our stay worth every second. I especially want to thank Mohamed (Osama) the swimming pool bartender for his hospitality and care.
This hotel is beautifully located in the center of Luxor overlooking the river nile. The service at the pool was easily the best we’ve ever experienced. The life guard made sure we had comfortable sun beds and positioned the sun umbrellas so that we could even enjoy a day by the pool at 40 degrees. The bar tender was extremely attentive and ensured we always had a cool drink in our hands.
Great stay here. The Nile view rooms are worth it - nice view, quiet (for the most part) and comfortable. Staff were super friendly. Breakfast buffet was reallt good. Loved the pool. Laundry was very overpriced (best to use a local laundry service instead). Wifi hit and miss. Weak cocktails but the beer and wine are fine. Make sure you try the lantern restaurant for dinner, a 5-10 min walk away, amazing...
Friendly staff. Good on premises food. Bad WIFI. Amazing pool view and nice garden grounds. Rooms are a little old but stiff clean and comfortable. I'd stay here again if I found myself in Luxor.
This is my third stay at this hotel in the last six months and it is a place I will always return to with pleasure. The location right on the Nile, the pool on the river, the beautiful garden full of birds, topped off with excellent food and warm, extremely professional staff - from reception to restaurants, pool, housekeeping to baggage handlers and security. It is a pleasure to be remembered by them...
right in the middle of Luxor, on the bank of the river Nile, 2 mins away from the motor boat pier to cross to the west bank 30-40EGP per boat, 5 minute walk from Luxor temple and the main souk. the room we stayed in was very basic, but very clean. the room cleaner was very good at his job.

We recently stayed at this hotel during a family vacation and I simply can’t fault it. From the moment you walk in the hotel you are greeted with helpful and knowledgeable staff. Staff was polite and friendly! My partner and I ended up having a free day in Luxor, so we purchased entry to the pool. The pool area was clean and maintained, with a lovely view over the Nile. We had plenty of beverages and some burgers - those were all great. My main concern is the ATMs in their building - I used one to withdraw cash and, with no warning or notice, it charged me double!
To be honest, the facilities inside the rooms are quite disappointing. But the view of Nile is just amazing. The restaurants and bars are good, especially the Italian restaurant. There is live music at night and the vibes are so good. The spa is reasonable price and all the staffs are nice and helpful. We do enjoy our stay!

Good for tourist location And food is ok😏. Descent room but no room service (unless you ask). Daytime receptionist Mr Azar is a very gentle men. Afternoon time receptionist (don’t know his name, bit heavy looking) is a grumpy and always angry. Normally he shouts and treat you like NOT a guest. Just watch out for him if you will stay here.
It is an okay place to stay. It is near to places to eat. There are few Om Hashem's restaurants nearby. Checking in and checking out procedure was fast. Room was big and comfortable. I just wished they prepare some basic toiletries or let the customer choose to have them by paying a little extra. Downside is, I wished I could get more varieties in the breakfast options.
Rooms are very spacious. Food is okay. One of the best customer service experienced in Egypt. Value for money.
Beautiful place. Quiet. Staff are really friendly and helpful. It is small and cozy. There is a small pool with different heights and a separate part for children. The pool is small but convenient. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a panoramic elevator as well.
We stayed there for 2 days and it was a pleasant stay. Specially in such low cost it provided every facility needed. was good with Karnak temple being 10 mins walking. The cook was very friendly and prepared anything we asked for. Would recommend people to stay here with low budget.Thanks.

Location was great, amazing views I paid a premium for a full Nile view, and it was not worth it, save your money. I verified with the front desk that what is pictured was a full view, was super disappointed in that. Service was amazing, buffet was way over priced.

The Best Hotel I have ever seen. Simply the location is unmatched because it’s not by the Nile it’s in the Nile itself. The whole island is for you to hover around and it’s huge plus you have 3 different large pools to choose from
Probably the most beautiful resort in Luxor. It is situated right by the Nile on its own private Island. The area is stunning, the food is good, and the pools are great. The staff is polite, but as others have mentioned they do occasionally bother you with "offers" and annoying selling. But all in all a great hotel.
Very beautiful hotel overlooking the Nile and facing sunset. The infinity pool is the prettiest with staff always on hand to help. At Reception, MakaRios was very helpful with upgrading our room for free and giving us a late checkout. Highly recommend.
Located what appears to be an island, Jolie Ville Resort is very large. Our room was somewhat distant from the reception and restaurant area. We called for a golf trolley and within minutes we were picked up. Check in and check out can be quick or rather slow, depending on the time of day. Service is good and friendly. Again I emphasize on the size of the place. If you are looking for a private getaway...
