It was horrible! The owner was creepy and asked everything about our live, although we told him, that we needed some rest time. We traveled all night.
The room was dirty and everything was broken.
The balcony was directly to the street and it was horribly loud. Our kids could not sleep. It was terrible! On the opposite site is a mosque and it was so loud 4 in the morning and all the time.
The breakfast was really bad, old stuff and anything but tea and coffee. No child wants to drink hot tea in the morning. He charged us 200 EGP for extra drinks, but told us not before.

I do not recommend this hotel; the sheets were okay, but there was no duvet, just a smelly blanket on top of the bed, and the room was dirty as it wasn't cleaned.

bad experience there is this old guy he is the manager for the hotel and he is in the reception to welcome every guest with his invistigation questions
he is so noisy and stupid and crossing boundaries
and asking a lot of questions and personal questions has nothing to do with the service
he speaks only to get informations and money from you
about the rooms it's fine
but overall i won't be ever in a place that has an energy for a nosy manager like this i suggest anywhere else
if you insist to go to this hotel don't answer his questions and make him understand it's none of his business
he is so noisy and stupid and crossing boundaries

The stay at Shadi Hotel was exceptional.
The staff were extremely friendly, and everyone offered help with genuine sincerity, not out of obligation. Mr. Abdullah, the hotel manager, personally followed up on the service regularly, which made us feel a strong sense of familiarity with both the place and the people.
Although the hotel is rated three stars, the service is truly five-star. The room had excellent infrastructure, a great swimming pool, comfortable elevators, a fridge, a coffee machine, and a hairdryer.
I can confidently say that Shadi Hotel has succeeded in providing the highest level of comfort and luxury for a very reasonable price.

At that time, I made a reservation for this hotel without paying much attention to the details. However, the experience of checking in was extremely bad and the overall evaluation was very low. The hotel had no smart devices for check-in and required manual processing using the pre-order. The elderly man with a hoarse voice was quite nice. The elderly man with poor eyesight had an extremely bad attitude and immediately asked how much the hotel had cost to make the reservation, whether we wanted to book a hot air balloon and a car tour, and insisted that we accept his terms. If we refused, he would get even angrier. As a hotel, its main business is to provide comfortable services and environment, not to constantly promote and have a bad attitude. The first night, the entire hotel experienced a power outage. All these reasons led to a low occupancy rate. This hotel seems not to have discovered the reasons for the low occupancy rate and has not found a way to solve this problem. On the other hand, this hotel has decent conditions. There were also many guests a few years ago and the reviews were still okay. Maybe the COVID pandemic led to a significant decline in the hotel's revenue, so it didn't matter. They just gave up. But after the COVID pandemic, this hotel still wants to continue operating and improving the service attitude to increase the occupancy rate is the key, rather than resorting to so-called promotions to lower the check-in experience. Most of the guests who chose this hotel were independent travelers, and low-rated hotels are not our top choice. Before this hotel made any changes, I strongly do not recommend you to choose this hotel.

It's close to the station, but the road to the hotel is not well-maintained (this is true throughout Egypt), so if you have large luggage, it might be better to take a taxi. The hotel will arrange anything, including felucca, balloon, and transfer to the ruins. I had already booked the balloon and transfer to the ruins, so they arranged the felucca, but the time... I think the time was a little early. I came back just as other tourists were going out to the Nile to watch the sunset... To be honest, I think I would have been more satisfied if I had directly negotiated with the boatman along the Nile at the time of the scenery I wanted to see.
Hot water came out well and the water pressure was perfect. The only amenities were bar soap. There was no hair dryer in the room. I used one I brought with me, so I'm not sure if I can borrow one from the front desk. There was a bathtub, but it wasn't cleaned. In fact, the drain was clogged from the beginning, and my hair got mixed in, which was awful. The refrigerator was very cold, but I wonder if the air conditioner is controlled by the front desk? It didn't turn on even when I pressed the switch, so I asked the front desk and they turned it on for me. There is an elevator.
The clogged bathtub was the worst, but the hotel staff were all so kind (I told them I needed glue and they went out of their way to buy it for me!), and it was the only relief I felt in the rip-off town of Luxor lol. Thank you for your help.

I was not very comfortable there. The owner and I had a serious argument because I was not satisfied with their service. At the end of the argument, the owner calmed down and we handled the situation better. However, I will never stay at this hotel ever again.
