Consists of five separate buildings (max 5 storeys, 70% of the rooms have sea view). In 2010, the sixth building with a VIP area as a separate Salome the Iberostar Grand Hotel Salome 5*.
The hotel has 391 rooms.
Among the standard rooms - 142 interconnecting rooms (which turns out 71 family room, min 2 2 max 2+3 persons; most of these rooms located on lower floors), as well as family superior (attached to standard sea view min 2 2 max 3+2 pers.).
Beach: public sandy beach in 50 m from hotel (1st coastal line, beach Playa Fanabe). Beach chairs, mattresses: free. Pool towels: free of charge. Poolside umbrellas, chairs, mattresses: free of charge. The beach is 1 km away.

Went to Portofino restaurant- excellent.
I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was a deeply disappointing and concerning experience. Here’s why:
The lift was broken, which made getting around the hotel extremely inconvenient.
The fountain in the reception area was also broken, giving the entire lobby a neglected feel.
Towels provided were threadbare, far from the quality expected.
Incredibly concerning, there were missing glass panels (3x1 meters) near the main pool, leaving a 10-meter drop exposed—a major safety hazard.
The carpets throughout the hotel are at least 20 years old, with what appeared to be black stains resembling blood.
Water machines, which should be clean and inviting, were instead covered in dust and grime.
Rusted railings in corridors overlooking 20-meter drops made the entire building feel dangerous.
The lighting was minimal, adding to the feeling of disrepair and unease.
As a structure, this hotel is a 2-star property at best, and it should be closed immediately for safety reasons and undergo a complete refurbishment.
The only redeeming quality was the staff, who were genuinely kind, helpful, and professional, deserving a 4.5-star rating on their own.
Sadly, the state of the hotel overshadows their efforts. Until serious improvements are made, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.
The hotel has an incredible location directly on the beach of Fanabe. Food is amazing with top chefs. However the heated pools are frozen with water at 18 degrees and unusable. The rooms are being renovated but with criteria of absolute poverty. The management of the hotel needs to be completely reviewed. We were stuck in the room because the door handle came off. It took them 20 minutes to "free us". No one who is there apologized for such a deplorable fact. The check in takes very long, more or less like at the post office... Very unpleasant because the hotel is potentially formidable. Iberostar in this case has really fallen to an unacceptable level: price-quality not convenient at all.
