Royal River, Luxury Hotel - Adults Only in Adeje

We came to celebrate our honeymoon at the hotel. The hotel is excellent, the rooms are stunning in their beauty, cleanliness at an amazing level and excellent service from the hotel employees. Except for the service at the reception which was very disappointing and not empathetic in any way! A woman and a man, every little request we put in front of them they started a discussion (in Spanish of course so we wouldn't understand) after which she said "no" with a smug smile. They did not meet us with any simple request we asked. We explained that we had a late flight and asked for an extra half hour to an hour in the room and they flatly refused. It would seem that our every request was met with refusal. We paid 1500 euros for 2 nights. It is appropriate that they come to meet us a little and add half an hour to get organized in the room. We were told that the room was booked (even though on the website half of the rooms in the hotel are available) and then she apparently forgot that she said the room was booked and said we could extend by an hour at a cost of 150 euros (the 1500 euros we paid was not enough for her). The reception is the only thing I would change. Unfortunately the management of the reception left a bitter taste so we will not return.
