Arrecife Gran Hotel & Spa

Currently staying at this hotel and having a wonderful experience. Initially I couldn't check in early and there was no movement on the 3pm check in which was unfortunate considering I was hot and sweating after a long trip but the hotel did look after my luggage.

The 2nd floor bar is brilliant, lovely vibe, incredible views and during my stay incredibly quiet allowing me to relax. Special mention to bartender Christian who gave amazing service and incredibly friendly and professional, really made my holiday! Could do with more space on the balcony with sunbeds but that can't be helped on a high rise hotel.

Amazing food! An incredible buffet and the staff are incredible. Special mention to Jessica who really went above and beyond. Could do with a bigger selection of drinks in the buffet area such as rums, gins etc.

Overall an incredible experience definitely recommend

A must if you visit Arrecife, use the elevator to the right, only petite but has stunning views as you climb all the way to the 17th floor and the restaurant there, the panoramic vista is one of the best photo opportunities you'll have on your stay.
The food is equally impressive from salads to pasta of the day, so tasty and delicious, leave room for one of their puddings😋 so yummy....
Staff, I cannot rate them high enough, they are all genuinely nice people, so helpful....

Absolutely stunning hotel. Vast choice of food with at breakfast and evening meal.
Omelettes cooked to order at breakfast.
At dinner always a huge choice.
At least one meat,chicken and fish to cook to order as well as prepared dishes.
A special mention to Monty on reception,Manduela who we observed helping a blind gentleman at breakfast to not only get his food but also cut it up for him.
Housekeepers came in everyday-spotless.

Great hotel, service very good. We had an issue with our room on the 10th floor, reception managed to sort another reasonably quickly with only a bit of a fuss and complaining from us. After that, all very good and staff were very helpful and polite. Location not great, nearby restaurants not really in keeping with level of hotel but if happy to slum it a bit all adequate. Better restaurants a bit further away. Handy taxi rank right outside hotel and really close to airport but never once disturbed by plane noise.

The restaurant blue 17 has the most spectacular views and delicious food. When we arrived the sun was setting and you couldn't ask for a more spectacular view. Our server Christian was fantastic and couldn't have been a better host. Thank you for the excellent service and amazing food. If we ever come back to the island we will definitely visit again. Really reasonable prices for such a fantastic view.

Beautiful view from the 17th floor, from the panoramic windows of the star city restaurant!

A good four star hotel but definitely not a five star! The attention to detail simply is not there. Everywhere in the hotel is immaculately clean, including around the pool. Even if you request a double bed (rather than twin beds) either while booking or at reception you will get two separately made up twin beds pushed together. There appears to be no sound proofing between the floors so if someone is in the room above you will hear them walking, talking and the toilet flushing.
While the staff are all friendly and polite, service is incredibly slow - I’m assuming it is perhaps understaffed due to covid. The food at the buffet for both breakfast and dinner is somewhat basic and could be hotter. There is no room service and you must request to have the tea/coffee in the rooms restocked. Two small bottles of water are provided upon arrival but these are also not restocked. A strange practice because I’m sure 3 star hotels replenish these basics.
Parking is not including despite what Booking.com claims. The elevators are the most annoying thing. Incredibly slow and the buttons are on different circuits so you regularly stop at floors where the person requesting the lift has already got on another one.

Just popped in to see what this grand 5 star tower block hotel is like after a friends recommendation. Lady on reception could not have been nicer and said I could go to the rooftop bar. Wow! what a fantastic view over the sea as the sun went down. Truly magical spot.
