Reviews
Also, if you’re expecting a proper double bed, beware — it’s just two twin beds pushed together, and they tend to separate, leaving a gap that you can easily fall into. The hotel doesn’t provide an iron, but instead offers dry cleaning at ridiculous prices. There’s also no kettle or coffee in the room; you can borrow one from the lobby, but you’re required to return it, which is quite bizarre.
The noise at night can be a problem, as you can hear sounds both from within the hotel and from outside, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. The location is decent, with about a 15-minute walk to the Sagrada Família, but the area isn’t very well lit.
For the price, though, I feel there are better options. We ended up going to Olivia Balmes for just 85 euros more, and the difference was night and day — from free coffee and high-quality toiletries to a pool, gym, and a much better overall ambience and service. Plus, Olivia Balmes has a fantastic location that’s hard to beat.
Checked into our hotel after we touched down on a 14 hours flight 🛫 journey from Singapore.

Few things to take note of
1. A double bed room is not really 'double bed'. These are two flimsy single beds joined together. If you are not careful, you might fall inside the crater that gets formed between the two beds when you are taking a turn. Not a good experience. Attaching a picture for reference
2. There are two basement floors. So be specific about which floor you would be staying in unless you really like the lower decks
3. I would not rate the front office manager (white bald dude) who checked me in as the most warm and serviceable person. While following hotel policy to the T is fine, but some empathy for guests can also go a long way. Had a long flight, landed at 10.30am at the hotel and requested what best they can do to let me have an early check in. But our man didn't budge from the 2 pm policy. And got to check in at, well 2 pm!! (no prizes for guessing)
I won't recommend it!
