The price per night was okay for the type of hotel it is.
Location is good as it is close to the main food and retail strip of Poblenou and close to the metro for a short train ride the heart of Barcelona.
Breakfast was good and the restaurant area was quite nice.
I think where they fall short was in a couple of areas. The service behind the counter could have been done with a smile and better customer service. No one seemed to happy at the check in desk. Also I had to get the card reader to my room changed 3 times on different days as it seemed to be glitching. Heard from other guests who were having the same problem. They should definitely fix this.
Would I stay there again? Maybe.

The Aircon worked just fine. It wasn’t super cold but it was cool enough to keep the room cool for when we came back. The room was super clean and tidy. Bathroom was really clean. The room never smell of sewage which was our fear as some of the reviews state that their rooms didn’t smell very nice but our was fine. The TV in the room worked just fine.
The staff seemed friendly enough and understood English just fine. The hotel is around a 15 minute walk to the beach which was not too bad. Guys, it’s a Travelodge. You really can’t expect the world for the price but the minimum you can expect is a clean and tidy room the staff who clean all the bedrooms deserve a pay rise they work so hard, our room was immaculate every single time.
We were hoping for an early check-in but it wasn’t available so don’t expect to check-in early especially during peak busy seasons but they will store your luggage securely while you go out gallivanting. That was the only disappointing part not being able to check in.
The hotel location is good within nearby walking hotels and stores. 10 min walk to the beach. Overall a good experience.
We stayed here for two nights with our dogs and honestly, it exceeded expectations—especially considering the harsh one-star reviews floating around. The room was clean, the staff were genuinely friendly, and they welcomed our pups without fuss, which is always a win.
Yes, across the road there’s a church mission that attracts some sketchy characters, but don’t let that put you off. Just step out the front door, turn right, and you’re instantly in pedestrian paradise—cafés, shops, and a vibrant local vibe that feels worlds away from the dodgy patch.
The location is fantastic: close to the beach, well-connected, and surprisingly peaceful once you're inside. For the price, it’s a steal. Whether you're on a budget or just want a no-frills base in Barcelona, this place delivers. Honestly, I’ve stayed in worse 4 and 5 star hotels. Would happily return.
