Not bad. But also not brilliant. Carpets and decor on lower floors need an update. €10 euros for breakfast is amazing value. We booked a double instead of a twin and the staff swapped our room in just a couple of minutes. Fantastic service.

The hotel is well placed, near to bars and restaurants. The price is fair, the room is amazing and really clean, it's a basic room (the room i was assigned), but it had an air conditioner and tv. The room is pretty big, the bed is ok. They serve a breakfast for just 10€ it's a buffet. Near to metro station (5 minutes walking) you can travel around the city without problems, some busses pass there. The customer service is spectacular, and they speak English very well. If you're looking for a place to spend a weekend, this is a good choice.

My wife and I arrived to this dump in September for what was supposed to be 3 nights. We waited 2 hours to check in. Fair enough that's what most hotels do. Once we got our room we immediately noticed a moldy smell. Then my wife noticed a reddish color on the bed spread. This prompted us to inspect the room further.
We found several spots on the mattress that looked like dead bugs. We freaked out and went to the front desk. The staff seemed as though they weren't surprised. They asked if we wanted to change rooms and we refused. We wanted out. But we couldn't get a refund. I even suggested they keep the first night and give me back the next 2 nights. It was a no go. They wouldn't budge and kept saying their policy was no cancellation or refund. And there was no manager we could complain to. It was a nightmare. We were forced to pay several hundred dollars to get another hotel room.
The area around the hotel is NOT Barcelona. Taxi drivers charge a $4.50 supplemental fee just to get you into that area. There isn't anything worthwhile there other than the beach.
I advise everyone to avoid this dump. Even a single man there just to enjoy a day or 2 should avoid this "hotel". It's a dump

Rooms were clean, comfortable and just what you need for a short stay - yes very basic, including no kettle or no proper wardrobe/drawers but other than that we were very impressed. Our room was more modern as well, much better than the pictures. The location is good, with there being a strip just round the corner, with restaurants, shops, cafes and bars - the perfect place as you cannot hear the noise from it. It has good links to public transport being very close to the metro, and not a far walk from the beach either. We had a meal from the restaurant too, was a good meal and good value. We had a peaceful stay, would visit again.

Rooms are very barebones, no fridge, no safe, no real place to hang clothes. Building is aging and the bathroom was a little dirty. Staff were friendly and check-in/out went smoothly. Area is quite nice and only a few minutes away from the metro. Quite a lot of noise from parties going on in the rooms around ours at night.

It is worth for the price you pay. Good location. Next to the famous district of Poblenou. It is a good option if you want to be faraway from the downtown crowded area and enjoy nice bars and restaurants.
They also have an very good breakfast. But the rooms are small and without good views for the city. It is ok for a weekend, however, if you are seeking for something more fancy and urban, here's not your place.

People at the reception were welcoming. It is the basic hotel room. Mattresses are comfortable. Close to the metro and everything you need especially the sea!

I’ll start with the positive: Mariana at reception (whom I was very impressed with because she showed real people skills I rarely see in this industry) and her manager (who handled the issue at hand with care and true leadership skills) are very kind, empathetic individuals who understood my elderly service dog’s condition and were able to accommodate us. My only issue was being charged €20 for my service dog and for that reason I’m taking one star off as I clearly stated he was a service dog & he was wearing his identification/service dog harness but they consulted in the back and still decided to charge me. Then again, I don’t know what the laws in Spain are regarding service dogs, so ultimately, it is what it is.
Besides that, for a city the size of Barcelona, for the neighborhood and the condition of the premises I believe this hotel delivers on the value it charges and I would indeed recommend it.
The parking could be a tad bit more affordable and a few other details could be improved but overall the room, location, lobby and services are on par for the price.

Room is spacious enough and warm, we didn't need to turn on the heating whole stay, it was even to hot, so we kept window open often. That was in the middle of December. Shower is without removable head and hose, hence it's not so comfortable to use. Bed mattress isn't very good for two, as if other turns over you feel that as jumping in the bed and it always wakes you up. Walls aren't soundproof, so if the neighbors door is closed automatically you can feel that as shaking bed. Parking is advertised as 15€ per night, but they don't post anywhere that's it's the price if you don't move the car. If you move it even once during your whole stay the pricing switches to usual public pricing of 3€ per hour. Keep that in mind. Thankfully the receptionist was good and friendly enough and made our parking card to work with unlimited enter/exit with same 15€ per night. However we had to pay in advance for all nights, but instead of 75€ for 5 nights I've paid 94.30€. Receptionist told me it's a tax, but I couldn't find such info on the invoice.
Also keep in mind they don't provide kettle, so you don't have any tea or coffee in your room.
