Great location! If you're wanting to avoid the crowds of La Rambla/Sagrada Familia and have a wonderful beach access vacation surrounded by wonderful eateries/bars/markets...this is your hotel! It didn't feel crowded at all and it felt like we were in a local area. The hotel itself was very nice! The breakfast was incredible. Also the staff was so nice and accommodating. At one point, we were searching for a wine key at the tables surrounding the front desk, and the person working came up to us and gave us two wine glasses and opened our bottle for us without us asking. It was so nice!!! Our kids loved it and so did my husband and I!

We stayed two nights at this hotel during our road trip through Europe. The location was great for us, easy to reach with car (even though the garage was built for tiny cars so don’t go there with a larger car cause you will not get out…) and close to restaurants.
You can go to the city center by subway (the station is just 5 min away) or take a long walk.
We had a family room which was very small but considering this hotel was a lot cheaper than others available at this time, I guess we could not expect more. And when in Barcelona, why spend time at the hotel? 😉
The breakfast room was very busy and loud. You just wanted to eat and go away as fast as possible…

Good location not far away for pedestrian street with restaurants and just 10 min walk to the beach. Simple but clean and nice rooms, lovely breakfast. You always know what to expext when staying in Holiday Inn.

Shocking to have to pay €250/night for this. I am usually a fan of Holiday Inn Express and have just been in the one in Salford. Great place. This one feels like a hospital. Sterile. Had to change rooms as my sofa was made into a bed (only me in the room). Asked for a room away from elevator traffic, still ended up opposite the elevator. The staff are doing their best but what can you do! Asked for an ironing board, not allowed to have one as I wasn’t ironing straight away. Only two left, we will see if there will be one later. Bars nearby are local, which is nice, but to say this is off the beaten track it’s completely overpriced given there is nothing in the hotel other than rooms and a bar with nobody in it. And to top it all off - the Brandy is in a tumbler and tiny. What’s going on!? And then the breakfast. Plastic trays, tidy into a trolley after you’ve eaten. Wow. Just wow. Again, for eur 250!! Breakfast super random. No eggs, instead warmed peas!

Friendly staff and good location, however the room could use some improvement. The room was very clean however there was a few things that could be improved in regards to functionality and comfort. Our outlet next to the bed was broken, and the bed was very uncomfortable. The sofa bed was actually more comfortable then the bed.
The bathroom was in working order and was decent, however the water pressure was very high. Whenever showering water would go all over the counter and floor as the door does not cover the whole shower.
Overall the amazing staff and good location is what kept this hotel at a decent rating for me, however if I'm ever in Barcelona again, I may consider other properties first.

We stayed for 5 nights to explore Barcelona from here. The location was excellent and the staff very helpful. Unfortunately the room left a bit to be desired ….. the bathroom smelt of sewage all the time - every time we used the sink or toilet it would smell even worse, it was really bad. There was no extraction fan in the bathroom either so no way of trying to remove the smell.
Also, the walls are so thin between the rooms we could hear the man next door in the bathroom snorting, clearing his throat and spitting (all those noises made when waking) not nice!
Also, we were told we were in a double but got twin beds that we had to push together.
We wouldn’t stay here again since it was so basic and the breakfast was not the most extensive in variety and the queues, if you timed it wrong, were long and the acoustics in the dining room were so bad we could barely hear each other speak!
So, sadly, we will not be returning.

I travel extensively for work, and have to be objective and state that this hotel is quite basic. No gym, pool, or laundry facilities. The room was equivalent to my university dorm back in the day. No microwave or kitchen. No air conditioning. The water rationing and hotel packed with noisy kids made it an unpleasant stay overall. Will not be returning.

We had a decent stay at this place.
Location wise it is good that one can get public transport within 400 m and also walkable distance to the beach side.
Rooms are a bit small and congested, but the service is good and the staff are also helpful.
They have a breakfast facility with a wide spread but no kitchen.

The hotel has a great location: many places, such as the beach, restaurants, parks and stores, are within walking distance.
It is a very crowded place with many customers, so do not expect personal attention. On the first day, they did not even offer a courtesy drink while waiting for the room, and that was disappointing. Personal attention could go a long way.
The room was decent and clean, but the bathroom was a tad old and needed a refresh. The buffet has a lot of options but there are so many customers that it feels very industrial and it may be hard to find a seat.
Overall, a decent hotel but service could be improved on.

+ Great location. Took walks along restaurant lined ave. with other shops..i.e. bakeries, etc Made several trips to local beaches with waterside restaurants.Glad we decided to stay a few days after our cruise!!Breakfast was perfect...thanks
