Catalonia La Maquinista Mini-hotel

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Catalonia Maquinista. Nerea and Jordi were fantastic — their excellent customer service made my solo visit extremely comfortable. They were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The spa facilities were absolutely amazing—clean, relaxing, and thoughtfully designed. I had the best massage of my life here! The staff were professional and attentive, and the whole experience left me feeling completely refreshed and renewed. Highly recommend to anyone looking to truly unwind. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area

We’ve stayed at Hotel Catalonia, right next to La Maquinista Westfield in Barcelona, several times and it has always been a great experience. The hotel is quiet, comfortable, and offers excellent amenities.

One of the highlights is definitely the breakfast. There’s a wide variety to choose from: freshly cut meats and cheeses, different types of milk, freshly squeezed orange juice, quality coffee, and even eggs cooked on demand. They also offer vegetarian options like vegetarian sausages, plus chicken sausages for those who don’t eat pork. And the pastries—croissants, pains au chocolat, and more—are always fresh and delicious.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the decoration of the hotel is elegant and relaxing. It is on the pricier side, but in our opinion it’s worth it for the overall quality and experience.

On our last visit, we noticed a couple of small maintenance details (like some holes in the curtains), but nothing that really took away from the stay. The place still looks very nice and well cared for.

Overall, highly recommended if you’re looking for comfort, quietness, and a top-quality breakfast experience in Barcelona.

Very good, the location is ten minutes away from the subway station and the train station, but guarding the shopping mall, very quiet, the room is very clean, the breakfast is very good and of high quality.

Good hotel, close to the Westfield Centre so if you forgot anything…big eating hall available but independent restaurants within walking distance as is the metro.
Can’t say enough about the staff who were friendly and helpful, from reception, to maitre d in restaurant to spa staff.
There is parking but you pay €20 per night (normal)
Spa had issues with a sauna not working and a jet not working so they refunded the cost (€12 pp) and due to unsociable guests who thought it was acceptable to talk loudly in the corridor on two consecutive mornings they also provided a breakfast each.
Breakfast is full continental, plus eggs - how you like them, lots of options and well worth €15pp
Would stay here again because of the service.

The room is OK, but the location is a bit off. It takes more than ten minutes to walk to the station, but the price/performance ratio is OK. It's just that there is no mineral water in the room, which is a bit inadequate. There is a comprehensive commercial complex next to it, with Carrefour and so on.

Honey went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect during my stay. His professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made me feel truly valued as a guest. It’s clear that he takes great pride in providing top-notch hospitality, and his leadership reflects in the overall service of the hotel.
