The renovation has only made significant design and building flaws more evident. The plumbing and sound insulation are truly disgraceful for a hotel charging €250/night.
The rooms are fine size wise, but poor natural light, and awful artificial lighting. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillow from the Stone Age - shockingly uncomfortable and unpleasant.

Sound insulation from other rooms = terrible. Side insulation form corridor = awful - the doors have gaps all around (how does that work as a fire door?) and there is no dampening on the closure so they all slam shut. The noise from below of louts playing loud music was unacceptable, and even though the staff dealt with it, it should not be audible.

Bathroom so basic, terrible smells from some cheap plumbing “solution”, and the sound of water dripping from overhead is just revolting.
Tiny tiny soap bar and no hand cream, no shampoo, old towels, and no hair dryer.

Breakfast simply not worth it - terrible coffee, stodgy croissant, old fruit and sugared cereal. Don’t bother, go out to one of a million nearby cafes.

The staff were fabulous however. Worthy of a far better equipped hotel. Am sorry for them that I am so scathing, but frankly the building should be demolished and rebuilt to a far higher standard.

We were family of 3 for 3 days. Yes, the hotel is renovated. However it is a sloppy renovation. There are tremendous issue - the room and hotel still looks dirty after the renovation. Probably they were rushing the hotel to start generate funds. However you should clean it up first, that would be great. The room itself was not very clean, especially the floor itself. It was marble like tiles, therefore you can see the spots over the floor. The sheets from my side was grossly dirty. I have tried to contact the reservation desk, however they were missing for 30/40 mins. I have received new sheets, but the bad taste was left in me. The toilet got clogged up. Honestly, the only good part of the hotel was its location. Probably for those money you will be able to find suitable place in a good location. Think twice before the reservation.

I chose this hotel because it had great reviews on Booking, including positive feedback about the breakfast, and the rooms looked really nice. However, in reality, it was disappointing.
Despite focusing a lot on looking aesthetically pleasing, the interior was nothing like it seemed in the pictures. When we arrived at reception, the guy informed us that breakfast was not included and cost €14.
Then came the rooms—an absolute disaster. The bed moved and split into two parts, the glasses in the minibar were dirty, and there were blood stains on the duvet. When we checked the bathroom, there was nothing available for basic hygiene—not even a disposable toothbrush or slippers to avoid walking barefoot.

We had booked a room with a balcony and a city view, yet we were given a room with neither a balcony nor any view at all. Basically, it was a waste of money.

We tried calling reception from the room phone to request clean duvets, but no one answered.
