After two years of closure for reconstruction, the hotel reopened its doors in October 2009. During reconstruction have preserved the classic style that has always distinguished this hotel. The hotel is suitable both for business trips and for leisure. Suitable for the discerning tourist.

Location: in the centre of Barcelona, near Las Ramblas, near the commercial area of Barcelona, in 15 km from airport, 10 minutes from the historical and commercial centre of the city.

The service is impeccable, the rooms are fabulous and the food and drink is wonderful. There are few places I'd call paradise to relax in but this is one of them. The people are just wonderful and always attentive but not in your face. The service spans everywhere from the rooftop terrace to the concierge and they work like clockwork.
The rooms are just wonderful. The perfect balance of classic and modern. I ordered some additional memory foam pillows which worked wonders.
The rooftop is the best in the city in my opinion with a deep pool (deeper than most) and a great bar that serves awesome food all day long. The DJ is absolutely epic and credit to him for playing all day because it can't be easy.
I cannot recommend this place enough.
Concierges excellent. Helped w everything. Front Desk excellent and rooms always fixed up spotless by staff.

If back in barcelona ever definitely stay here again recommend to all.
Service from all staff was very good, location of hotel was perfect for our stay. Everything was in within walking distance or a short taxi ride.
Perhaps the pool and gym could be upgraded. That’s the only slight criticism.
Unlike a few other critical reviews, we thankfully didn't have any inconvenience. The staff we encountered all spoke good English, and the concierge got us a reservation at a nice restaurant that had no publicly available reservations.
The minor issue was that the room key was one of those big old keys and it took us a few tries to open the door. But aside from that, we sincerely enjoyed our stay at this place.
