Room type: Larger connecting family room

There may have been good intentions in creating this type of room but mainly it feels like a ripoff.

Rooms - The room with a king bed is small and hard to move around in. There is no table/desk but there is a big, ugly, sunken couch. The light behind the bed flickers so it can’t be used unless one wants a headache. The bathroom light flickers as well.
The room with twin beds is bigger. It has a desk and a seating area for one. Walls and ceilings are thin and I can hear every movement from the room upstairs.
Cleanliness - So-so. Could be cleaner.
Bathroom - Roomy but the one in the king bed room hardly has any countertop space.

General - Both rooms have narrow closets with only 2 small drawers. Bathroom vanities have no drawers. The decor is outdated and makes me feel like this is where old furniture come to die and be forgotten.

Staff - We checked in only this afternoon, and so far everyone has been attentive and helpful. Staff can’t make up for the state of the rooms though.

The hotel was very nice but I was disappointed to find the rooftop bar closed. When we checked in it was one of the amenities we were made aware of. We got back to the hotel at about 8:00 and it was closed. It would be better if you didn't advertise it as being open from 12 pm to 13 am. It was disappointing.

A very high quality hotel situated in an advantageous location for a wide choice of options to visit. We were able to walk to most of the features attractions - La Pedrera, Sagrada Familia to name only two.
If you like shopping for luxury goods the main street is one block away.
As for our room, it was spacious, and well laid out. We were on a corner and had two windows overlooking the streets but there was no oppressive noise from traffic.
All in all I would recommend this hotel as a great place to stay.

Staying for the first time in Barcelona we chose this property for location, good rooms, and amenities.

We had a standard room with a balcony. The balcony is pointless since the wall is about 1.5 meters high so if you're sitting you can only see wall. On top of the wall there is frosted glass which I understand is for privacy but at the same time makes sure you have no view; not that the fifth floor in our direction would have offered much. The room also has little storage space so for two people you have very little place to put your things. The bed, furniture, and bathroom are all well kept and nice. The property is well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is good with lots of food options and destinations in walking distance.

Great location, very close to the main tourist area. The room interiors are fairly standard. Breakfast is good. But there is no executive lounge for Marriott members.

I used a Nightly Upgrade Award to upgrade to a Prestige room. Since I was traveling with my two kids (ages 9 and 11), the hotel later said the room could not accommodate four people. I had to pay an additional €250 to switch to a connecting room. They promised to return my Nightly Upgrade Award certificate, but it was never refunded. Even after check-out and follow-up emails, I received no response.

Good service. Friendly people (baring one). Allowed early check-in, which was nice. Rooms are great. Gym was not unlocked, so need to arrange access - bit of a pain. Breakfast good too.

The location is very good and convenient. It is right next to the Avenue des Grazies. It is convenient for shopping. It is within walking distance of Casa Mila and Casa Batlló. However, it is a little far from the Sagrada Familia and you need to take a taxi. It is not very convenient. The facilities are satisfactory. The breakfast is good.

It is very close to the attractions and there are many good things to eat nearby. If you go shopping on Thanksgiving Avenue, it is very convenient to return to the hotel after shopping. It is just a bit old, like an ordinary business hotel
