I definitely recommend for first time travelers to Barcelona! I will definitely be returning to this hotel when come to Barcelona again!
Superb service, the front desk lady was very enthusiastic, she came early and let me put down my luggage, and recommended delicious and fun things nearby.
The hotel's spa is also very good, and the room is very comfortable.

Very comfortable beds and lovely high-ceilings throughout the hotel. One negative is the complicated instructions and process of selecting which shower head to use and adjusting water temperature. As someone who wears glasses I had to keep putting my specs back on to make adjustments. Rooftop area is a wonderful outlook over the city.
The location was perfect. It is right off of La Rambla, close to several metro stations, and walking distance to so many great neighborhoods, and locations.
Our room was a great size, with a king size bed. It was very clean, comfortable, and felt luxurious.
The service at the hotel was very good. We didn't experience any issues.
Guests get to use the spa downstairs for free each day. There is a large warm pool (Warm, not HOT), a sauna, and a steam room that was out of service. We also took advantage of massages one day, which was really nice.
The rooftop is one of the key selling points here, with a rooftop pool that is lovely for sunbathing / lounging. We also had drinks at the rooftop bar each night.
For some reason, the lobby bar was not open at all, and the rooftop bar is table service only (except when you're at the pool), which is a little annoying, but it still was very lovely.
