Magic Tropical Splash in Cala de Finestrat

We have recently returned from a 1 week stay at the Magic Tropical Splash. We are a family of 6 (child ages 17, 13, 12 & 6) and stayed in a 3 bed apartment on an AI basis. Our room was on floor 19 in tower 1, and getting to and from the room was the worst part of the holiday. With only 2 lifts and 1 being out of order, it was a constant battle. Our room was clean and very spacious, with a stocked fridge and amazing views! We had access to a main buffet restaurant which had a good selection of food and theme nights every evening I.e Italian, oriental, and a snack bar. In addition to this there was an ice-cream truck and waffle cart. Drink choices were good with branded spirits and a cocktail menu. Glasses are not permitted around the pool area, so they ask for a 1€ deposit per cup which you get back once they are returned. This brings me to the pool area which was absolutely fantastic… splash area for the little ones, medium slides for kids, jacuzzi, large pool area, and the big flumes for the big kids. The kids never got bored of this! Daytime entertainment around the pool was good, but on an evening was very repetitive. The surrounding area was very quiet, with a small beach only a 5min walk away. We visited the local market and arranged a day trip to Mundamar. You can upgrade to Ultra AI to receive a few extra benefits, but this was going to add another 600€ to our holiday, which we didn’t think was worth it. We had a fantastic time!

Sorry forgot to leave this few months ago, we had a 5 night stay here with 2 of our grandkids, 5 and 11 years old, can honestly say this hotel was a good choice, plenty of choice on food all day, snack shop and cold drinks for the kids, lots of choices on drinks on the all inclusive and in a nice quiet and not too busy location with short stroll to lots of shops and the beach. The water slides and foam parties went down well with the grandkids and the swim up bar in the pool was well stocked, kids enjoyed the entertainment and the games room wasn't too bad. Overall a good place to bring your family to.

Had the best week away in the sun. The hotel was perfect for us (family of 5). The pool was fab, with lots to do for all the kids, especially the slides. The food was plentiful, lots of options for us all! We hired towels and cups which was very handy. The icecream, waffles and drinks were great. Would definitely go back!

Great holiday. Facilities were brilliant. Food nice and plenty of things to keep the kids entertained. The hotel was lovely and clean. Staff Member Viorica-Lixieza-Zaxa was so friendly and helpful!! Thank you :-)

We have stayed at this hotel twice and just booked again for may 2026 Our granddaughter came with us both times and she loved everything at the hotel . Her mum, dad and younger sister are coming with us next may. Staff were very helpful. Entertainment was really good. The pool was cold but that was our only gripe. Looking forward to going back there.

Omg absolutely loved it here at Magic Tropical Splash, we went with 2 boys aged 9 and 6, had so much to do there with the slides and big pool, plus the kids play areas with football included, also included is the mini clubs and even a games room.

The range of food is great, food for even the fussy eaters, different themed food all week from Mexican, Caribbean, American but different one each evening.

Yes the rooms are slightly outdated but for how long u are in them for, it's really not a problem, u get a small kitchen area which is great, bed are comfy and very spacious.

Entertainment in evening is good, runs a little bit late but could watch from out balcony as only on floor 3 tower 2 so had a good view.

The only 1 problem we had is that we had a midnight flight home and wasn't accompanied a room for longer as fully booked, would be good for people who has a very late flight to have a room for longer and by boys very bored that last night.

What a fantastic place. Yes the rooms are dated - but who’s really bothered about a room you spend so little time in? We relaxed in the room for a few hours a night then went to bed, and were out of the rooms for the day the next morning so we didn’t have an issue. They’re lovely and clean, the beds are so comfortable, the only slight issue we had was a smell from the drains in the bathroom but we just kept the door closed! The welcome drinks were a lovely addition, we were both parched on arrival so enjoyed the soft drinks very much. The poolside is kept clean all day long, always someone walking around sweeping up and making sure everywhere is clear. Yes many sunbeds are reserved by 9am but we never had any issues finding two together, and if there weren’t any by the pool we went up to the adults only area. The food - yes, it’s slightly repetitive. But when you’re cooking so many dishes for so many guests, it’s inevitable. There was always something I found to eat and I’m quite fussy. Grilled chicken, Cajun turkey, grilled salmon, pasta, rice, lasagna - they’re just a few of the dishes that were on offer over the week I stayed. I honestly couldn’t complain at all (and there was always chips for the fussiest of fussy eaters). The dessert selection was unreal! So many different desserts - yes all similar in presentation, but something for everyone. Even rice pudding was on one night which I thoroughly enjoyed. The entertainment was very kid-focused, obviously. There were singers on before the mini-disco which we listened to from our balcony. The oasis tribute was actually fantastic! And the parrot show was great too, we really enjoyed that. People complain that the entertainment went on too late for children, but my view is they’re on holiday making memories. Unless they’re very young, what harm will a few late nights do? :) The drink selection was also fantastic. Whatever you asked for they made - the lemon slushies are delicious. All in all. , it’s a great place to come for a holiday and we’re already talking about visiting again.
