Tropic Park Hotel

I chose this hotel because I liked the read up and because of some of the things on offer. On arrival my room wasn't ready but I had an early flight so this was to be expected. I had gone all inclusive but the hotel said that I wasn't entitled to lunch but could swap it for day of departure breakfast. I did this but found it strange especially because I was all inclusive. The roof top over 18s pool area is why I chose this. However I was disappointed that it didn't open till 10 and had an horrible smell coming from the drains. I raised this and I was told it didn't have any smells at all because it was outside. Also the WiFi is no existent up on the roof top bar also so had to use my own data up there which isn't ideal when you wish to connect with family being a solo traveller. Also on 3 days there were kids in the pool and not once was they removed and also a toddler in swim nappies too. This is so wrong when you have paid for this in your holiday to be child free in this area. There is no pool bar so in order to get drinks you have to go up and down 2 flights of stairs and then from level 6 to 0 which is absolutely awful and this should be advised upon booking. Some guests are so rude and think they own this place with pushing in and pushing others out of the way to get what they want. The outside family pool definitely isn't so welcoming like the photos on Tui website and the same applies for the indoor pool they looked like dirty. I personally found this hotel intimidating at times especially travelling solo and the lack of other British guests and the fact they dont really cater for the British. I think that travelling to this hotel should be made clear its not very welcoming for solo guests and i would NEVER return here. Some staff were nice in the dining area. The food was ok I found something to eat but there was Halal chicken and other meats served which was Halal and I feel that there should have been other options available so I found i did eat lots of pasta and salad. To get to the beach there was a little subway to use due to the train lines. I absolutely hated this also perhaps because I was a single female travelling on my own. The room was nice on the 6th floor and I had been advised that I had an upgraded room but I believe level 1 and 2 were still waiting to be refurbished. I would never in a million years return to this hotel. Some guests just have no manners and dont know the meaning of being kind. If you are travelling solo choose wisely.
