Hotel Sorra Daurada Splash

Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and upsetting from the moment we arrived. On our first day, we were given a dirty room—there were hairs all over the shower walls, the floor hadn’t been cleaned, and both the bathroom and balcony were filthy. I had to go out and buy my own cleaning supplies just to make the room liveable, as housekeeping wouldn’t be available for another three hours. The worst part of our experience came when my mum’s bag was stolen right from the reception area In the morning by someone who just walked in off the street. The bag contained all of her essential medication. When we approached the manager for help, he was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. He refused to show us the CCTV footage and made us wait over an hour to even speak with him—apparently disciplining his staff was more important than helping us during an emergency. We were also due to leave on our transfer shortly afterward, adding more stress. When we asked for help contacting the police, we were told we’d need to make our own way to the station. I asked if they could help us find a translator, and they simply said no. The overall customer service was appalling. Anytime we asked a question, the response was always “I don’t know.” It’s clear that the management lacks basic training in how to handle guest safety, emergencies, and general hospitality. The staff at the front desk didn’t speak English, making it even more difficult to get help. The only bright spot during our stay was Andrea, a receptionist who genuinely cared and constantly checked in with us to make sure we were okay. She deserves recognition for her kindness and professionalism. This hotel could have so much potential as a family resort, but it desperately needs better leadership and staff training. Until then, I absolutely would not recommend staying here. The only thing that made it was spending time with family!

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my stay. While the food was actually quite good, the overall experience was affected by several issues. The hotel staff were unfriendly and unhelpful throughout our visit – not what you’d expect in a place that welcomes tourists. The room was extremely cramped and there was a persistent, unpleasant smell that made the stay uncomfortable. Definitely not what we hoped for on our vacation. Sadly, I would not return, nor would I recommend this hotel to others

HONEST REVIEW as soon as we got there hotel staff was extremely rude. You have to pay €20 for a kettle and €20 for 4 cups even though we was all inclusive, room never got cleaned with no new towels food was VILE entertainment was AWFUL!!! Started so late so many people complained!!! Disgusting hotel even our taxi man told us this was the worst hotel in Barcelona!!!! They hate British tourist!!’ If you have sense don’t stay there!!!!

We stayed at Hotel Sorra Daurada Splash in Spain, and I would NOT recommend it. Our experience was full of frustration, bad service, and poor cleanliness. We arrived around 9 AM and were told we couldn't check in until 2 PM. After traveling for hours, we had to sit in the lounge doing absolutely nothing. No breakfast, no access to a changing room — they said we could use the pools, but how can you swim without a room to change in? Makes no sense. Once we got to our room, it looked decent at best, but the problems kept coming. The food was okay, though more variety would’ve been appreciated. At breakfast, drinks were limited to machine coffee, tea, and juice — no fresh options. After breakfast, you can’t get a drink unless you pay 5 Euros per person for a plastic chip. You hand the chip in for a drink, then return the cup to get the chip back. You can get your 5 Euros back when you leave, but this system is ridiculous for an all-inclusive hotel. Also, the bar outside, where you get those drinks, was always late to open, and then at 5 PM, it closes so the indoor bar can open. Why not just keep one open all day? The room was awful. The mini fridge was completely empty, not even water. So unless you buy everything yourself, your kids have nothing to drink. This was really tough on my parents, who don’t speak Spanish or English. The cleaning staff was practically useless — after day one, they only emptied the trash and left some toilet paper. The floor stayed dirty, and the bed was literally broken, something we noticed only at the end. There were scratches and damages on the wardrobe and doors, the AC smelled musty, and the shower drain was disgusting (see photos). The worst part? One morning, we saw a trail of blood near the hotel, apparently from a fight the night before. It was just washed away the next day — no reassurance, no explanation, nothing. Extremely disturbing and unprofessional. The only positives: the beach (which is public and not hotel-related), the pools (mainly for small children), and the food, which was good but nothing exceptional. The only staff member who was nice was a guy at the cafeteria bar with shoulder-length dark hair and facial piercings. He was friendly and polite, unlike most of the staff there. Big shoutout to him — the one highlight of the place. --- Summary: Poor service, dirty rooms, a ridiculous drink system, unhelpful staff, and even a disturbing incident with no communication from the hotel. This place is not worth your money. Avoid it.

Had a horrendous holiday receptionist on arrival was very rude to us, rooms weren't cleaned properly and bedding wasn't changed once the whole time we were there, we went all inclusive what a waste of time food was awful we had to skip meals or eat out, drinks were cheap and nasty. There was bugs on fruit and hair on the food. Pools were ok but we ended up with rashes very shocked of overall outcome considering it was a 4 star hotel. I wouldn't recommend going here

Worse hotel I have ever been! Staff are rude and tell you they can’t speak English after speaking English to you! Can’t get a drink without a ticket and if you lose you ticket then it’s €5 after paying for all inclusive! Far too many children in the pool it was unsafe. Worse entertainment I have EVER seen!
