Hotel Sorra Daurada Splash

On my final day here after a 5 night stay. Came with my autistic 6 year old. Our stay has been decent. The room is fine, cleaned everyday. All the staff are super friendly. The food was good, fair bit of variety. My super picky, very particular autistic child aways found something he would happily eat every mealtime. Pool area was nice, plenty of sun loungers. Good location.
Only complaint is that the pool water was freezing cold so my son ended up with a cough.

We (2 adults + 3 year old) had a great week in the hotel. The rooms are basic but clean and the beds are comfy. We had a balcony facing the pool which was great to watch for our son.
The water of the pool was a bit cold this time of year but we were still able to use a few times.
The hotel has loads of activities for kids and the buffet is offering options for everyone.
Next to the pool is also another bar where you can buy snacks and drinks during the short breaks where the buffet is closed.
The staff was friendly and very helpful.

My review focuses on two main factors: value for money and my specific room experience. Given the mixed reviews, I was skeptical, but I kept in mind that family-friendly, budget all-inclusive hotels tend to attract a certain type of crowd. I wasn’t booking with unrealistic expectations.

I requested a room away from the entertainment area, which might not be an issue for everyone. If you plan on staying up late near the entertainment, it won't bother you, but if you're someone who goes to bed earlier—especially if you have young kids—ask for a room away from that area.

The food was "good," though not the best I’ve had with full board. That said, it’s likely the cheapest place I’ve stayed, so it's decent value for the money. If you’re staying for just a few days, you’ll probably find the food good. However, if you’re staying for longer, say 9 days like I did, you might get bored due to the limited variety. You’ll find yourself joking about having pizza and chips again. It’s not one of those places that does themed nights, but considering the budget, it’s pretty good. If I were to return, I’d stay 5 nights out of 9 and eat out a few times to mix it up.

The waiting staff were lovely—always smiling and chatty. I think they don’t always get treated well by guests, but they were friendly and hardworking. The same goes for the reception staff—always helpful and happy to assist.

The room itself was good—no complaints or issues.

The pools were great, and we had no problem finding sunbeds. There were always plenty available, and there were plenty of shaded areas, which is great for a family hotel. Again, this was in September, so that may vary.

My only criticism is that the pool area toilets didn’t have locks. I assume there’s a reason for it, but it can be inconvenient, especially for women who may prefer the privacy of their room.
