Very satisfied with my stay at Hotel Montemar Maritim! Clean rooms, great beachside location, and super friendly staff. The food was fantastic – lots of seafood, good meat, fresh fruit and veggies every day.
Special thanks to Lukas from the animation team – amazing energy, fun for both kids and adults!
Tip: You need to reserve sunbeds by the pool. There's free parking, and the train station to Barcelona is right next to the hotel, which makes day trips super easy. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, this stay didn’t quite match the great experience I had last year. The rooms weren’t as clean, the bedding often had stains, and there were hairs from the cleaners left on the floor all week. The overall vibe from the staff felt a bit less enthusiastic this time. That said, Angelique and the tall, slim, balding gentleman in the restaurant were truly wonderful and really stood out. The cleanliness of plates and glasses in the restaurant could be better, and the Wi-Fi was quite poor. Maybe my expectations were just a bit too high after such a great stay last year.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel in April 30th for 6 nights. We booked for 3 nights and we were very satisfied with the service so extended for another 3 nights. Special thanks to Nathalie who showed us the rooms before we booked. Oslo very special thanks to Lukas who make our stay fun and happy. We are more than happy to come back again.

We booked half-board, and the food was a highlight. Every dinner offered something new and exciting, like grilled beef, monkfish, and even tacos, plus desserts that were a treat!
Our room had recently been renovated and matched the online description perfectly (I have noticed that not all rooms were renovated). We had a view of the hotel across the street, but it was quiet, and we didn’t hear any noise from it.

Our room was very comfortable and spotless. The buffet meals were excellently prepared and varied, with a selection to suit all tastes. All the hotel and staff were cheerful, polite, friendly and more than helpful.

Pleasant stay for the price we paid. We had half board and the food was really OK, plenty to choose from (except deserts and well coffee is terrible). Staff was OK. Kids playroom - small and the program is weak but it was off-season. Pool was too cold at this time of the year, but they have small pool inside for 5 eur/person. Huge benefit is free parking! Rooms (premium triple) were clean, renewed and OK. Location is good, we did not enjoy the village itself much, but hotel is close to the sea (railway passing is 10 minutes walk max). Quite area. We also felt safe at this time of the year.

We were upgraded to a family room, which was very spacious and clean; a really lovely room. Food was excellent, lots of choice and a change of menu each night. Whilst the pool area was relatively small, we had no problems finding a sunbed each day. The pool area is roped off until 9.00am, which fortunately prevents selfish individuals from placing out their towels and then going for breakfast/out for the day. Location was really good at the quieter end but very close to the train line and beach area. Our only negatives were that you had to pay for the coffee pods in your room; I have never experience this previously and I think coffee should be complimentary. Also we noted the bar staff concentrated on serving only certain areas around the pool, and people located at the back were ignored. Other than that it was a fabulous trip and we would return again.

Best Hotel we've been ever. The staff - restaurant, bar, reception, facility staff, and hotel management (communication and reservation) - the kindest and most professional people we've met. During our stay everything was TEN stars. Thanks all of you to make this vacation so amazing!

We just returned home after a 10-day stay in the beautiful Costa Brava. Unfortunately, we spent 5 of those nights at this hotel, which turned out to be a big mistake.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
The check-in process took over an hour, and we were not informed about the schedule or activities. Relying on the activity board was another mistake, as it was never updated. How difficult is it to update a board, especially during the high season?
Our room was in poor condition, with towels full of holes and dirty chairs and beds.
To make matters worse, the manager, Carmen, was the rudest person I have ever met. She shouted at my kids to get out of the pool and was very rude when I approached her to resolve an issue with the cleaning team. On our last day, the cleaning team threw away our souvenirs, which had been in the same place all week.
The hotel's management and handling are a disgrace. It was a waste of time and money. After the first day, we realized it wasn't for us and politely asked for a refund so we could leave. However, Carmen was loud and aggressive, claiming she would lose money. Bad experiences and negative reviews cost more in the long run.
In summary, our stay was an absolute shame. Location is horrific, close the a smelly beach with no attraction what so ever. In the pool there is no shade and you have to fight over chair or pay extra to reserve (1£, but still). Do yourself a favour and choose another hotel amongst the hundreds there to offer. Better yet, choose a different city to stay in.

We spent five lovely days at Montemar Maritim. The room was very spacious and clean, providing a comfortable stay. There was plenty of choice at both breakfast and dinner with an incredible buffet. The outside swimming pool was well maintained and clean, as was the indoor pool. All the staff were very pleasant and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. The evening entertainment was nice, and the hotel's location right in front of the seaside was perfect.
