Occidental Jandia Playa

Overall it was a great experience here.
The hotel itself and it's garden is breathtaking, so is the view on the beach located around 5 minutes south of the building.

The food was good - always fresh fruits and live cooking included.

Two things were not as expected, once the drinks, we are huge cocktail fans and were sadly not able to find a good cocktail here, all of them come from a machine and are simply not drinkable.

For the room we chose one with sea view (+~50€), the view was amazing, sadly the rooms were not. On our day of arrival we were told that we could enter it at 15:00, until 15:20 the room was not ready - a guy with a bucket of painting colour came out and told us that it would be ready. - He freshly painted the wall... A disgusting smell was in the room for the following 2 days. The bath was a bit dirty and we had no blankets provided.

Overall I would come here again but definitely wouldn't choose all inclusive again since the drinks are not worth the price.

We spent a week at the Occidental Jandía Playa hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful, the rooms and the facilities were clean. The ocean beach is about a 10-15 minute walk away, where you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas from 10am to 5pm for 5 euro/each. The food was varied, vegetarian/vegan dishes were easy to find (special thanks for the plant milks at breakfast

Although we had fun the entertainment was lacking. There isn’t much else around here, but you can walk to the beach and shops. My issue was with health and safety, we told reception that block 2 stairwell had no lighting, days ago, it is pitch black and three flights of stairs, it is a real hazard, especially for elderly people like us! It is still not fixed and needs to be done asap! Food is nice, rooms cleaned very well, lovely pools.

Lovely hotel, although bedrooms need updating. Having coffee facilities in rooms would have been nice. We were there for a week, towels changed twice, bath mat everyday, bed sheets were never changed but made the bed everyday, floors mopped everyday. Most staff are friendly. Toilets in common areas did not always have toilet paper, I didn't think they were monitored/checked regularly. Good selection of food. Glad we went all inclusive, not much choice if you want to eat away from the hotel.

This was a lovely hotel great value for money AI was great lots of different drinks great variety of food. Snack bar good. Only down side is the hills there is quite a lot of steps and hills if you are located in blocks 7, 8, 9. Apart from that if you want a nice Quiet and I emphasis quiet holiday this is the place. If you are looking to go out a lot ie clubbing, entertainment then the resort is not the place. We didn't go out much as that's just us, but we enjoyed it. Hope this review helps. We thoroughly enjoyed it as we like quiet. Also when we went on May there was a lovely wind it did get quite strong but I liked it as it cooled us down. There was also loads of sunbeds when we went in may I don't know about the height of the season though I think it gets rather busy. The weather in may was scorching so June July must be even hotter ! We would definitely go back. The staff were always pleasant the cleaners kept the room spotless. They must have a lot of work bless I don't know how they do it we gave her a tip for all her hard work. The air con could do with being stronger and our tv kept playing up but they sent someone twice to fix no problem. I can't fault the place apart from as I said the steep hills and steps.

Lovely scenery, foods great, gym is a little lacking and the fitness area is still being constructed but overall the place is amazing

absolutly bliss!! very clean establishment with well mannered staff, plenty of entertainment for both adults and children, huge complex with lots to do. food was out of this world and a very clean resturant too, i would defo love to go back for another visit.

The facilities are top quality and the staff are very helpful. Perfect for both family holidays and couples, though couples may want to look at the premium side, it is definitely worth the extra!

We found the rooms to be spacious and well appointed. The food at the main restaurant is good quality with enough variety that you don't get bored. The pool areas and very nice and you have good access to some souvenir shops / discount outlets as well as the beach. It is excellent value for money.
