Our stay at the Hotel Oberoy was just perfect.
We both wanted a quiet relaxing 5 days away and that’s exactly what we found in the hotel.
Rooms exceptionally clean and tidy which we also found throughout the hotel and pool area.
Plenty of sun beds for all, so no worries or rush to obtain them. Lots of shaded areas if needed but we found the spa pool with its gentle jets and seating a great place to cool whilst still enjoying the sunshine.
Food was plentiful with a good choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you wanted to eat out there are restaurants near by but we ate in the hotel every night.
Tea & coffee available 24/7 from the restaurant area ( no kettle or tea making facilities in your room). Alcohol drinks be warned! They are strong ! Unlike most all inclusive hotels where the alcohol is weak,
This like all Spanish hotels have a no smoking policy and this includes the balcony in your room, but there is a smoking area by the poolside and at the front of the hotel.
This is a quiet hotel with no music blaring out, just pure relaxing atmosphere. If you want noise and pool activities then I would suggest this is not the hotel for you. This for us is a refreshing welcome change and we would 100% return.
All of the staff are a credit to to Hotel and made this 5 day break just what we needed.
Thank you all x Steve & Nathalie (UK)

Had a loverly 3 night break at this hotel. For the money it was very good. Close to the beach. Friendly staff. Would visit this place again. Food offerings very nice but maybe a little repetitive if you are staying for a longer period of time. Recommend.

Liked:
- The staff was extremely helpful and tried to walk that extra mile in order to provide a memorable service. I can include here all staff, including the receptionist, the cleaning staff and catering.
- As a queer couple we felt absolutely accepted and welcome.
- We were very satisfied with the All Inclusive option as there was a big variety of choices with every meal.
- The location is a bit out from the city centre of Paguera which means no noise at all, but a walking distance to the La Romana and Torà beaches and the shopping street.
- Good and stable wi-fi connection.

Disliked:
- The pool closes too early. It’s only open between 10 and 18.
- Although the pool and its area is reasonably sized, it’s a game of luck to find free sunbeds. They are also placed very tightly so it’s not possible to move and rotate them.
- Some plant-based options for dessert would be very welcome, although milk alternatives are offered for breakfast.

Excellent staff, with the all inclusive proposition we'll catered for. The hotel is tired, and needs a good refurb. Rooms are adequate but not quite a star, common areas well maintained but not quite up to date. Overall 3.5 stars, with the staff being the best element of the Hotel

Amazing and quiet hotel. Me and my partner are both 25 and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Oberoy. The staff and other customers are very friendly. There was plenty of food which was always fresh and cooked nice. The chefs were always topping up food, which was great. The drinks on the all inclusive were very good, despite it being non branded alcohol, the cocktails were very good!

We always managed to get a sunbed aroumd the pool, despite the hotel being full.

The only downside for us, was the pool shutting at 6pm, I think one or two nights a week where you can swim until late (9/10pm) would have been a great alturnative!

The location is great, surrounded by great supermarkets and shops, and within 5 minutes you are on the beach!

Can't wait to return back soon ✨️

Really enjoyed our short stay away. Reception staff are a credit to the hotel- simply amazing. Glass of fizz on arrival and a lovely reception- despite our late arrival due to plane delays.
Bar staff could do with learning to smile but still better than some places I’ve been.
Food was great- wasn’t expecting too much but was very pleasantly surprised. Serviced varied massively - day one- drink service at table and plates cleared with a smile- rest of the week had to order at bar and eat around dirty dishes- that said- it was a lovely tranquil break and I would highly recommend. Great location for local bars and restaurants (went all inclusive but still drank and ate out to make the most of the area)
Really should consider doing some local food and not just ‘tourist’ food- would have loved to have some paella.. aircon in the rooms was lovely and quiet- just not quite strong enough and was lacking in the bar area- was too hot to sit and have a drink but it was a very, very hot period and so maybe sufficient usually..
Overall Beautiful- thank you

The positives:
Food is good. Drinks are available 11-23:00, without limits, including a range of nice cocktails. Beds are comfortable. Everything is spotlessly clean. Staff are well-mannered and very helpful and can speak good English and German and possibly other languages too. The place is quiet and is in a quiet location - this is not a party hotel. The beach is 5 mins on foot. The guests are adults only, and I'd say mostly 40-70 year-olds. This is not a positive in itself, but probably contributes to the fact that the place is very "chillaxed".
It's a smallish hotel, so the one pool is enough. There's always enough tables and loungers.
What could be improved:
Paper thin walls. Pool is a bit too chilly for our liking. I reckon the food would get repetitive after a week (we're only here for 4 nights).
Being able to borrow some things for the beach would be really helpful, e.g. a rollout mat or inflatables, so there's no need to buy stuff like this only for a small stay and then leave things - better for the environment too.
Games and books corner in the lounge would be good too.
A greater variety of English speaking TV channels would be appreciated (there's only 1 and it's a French news channel's English speaking version).

AVOID AT ANY COST
these people decieve you into booking with them at a premium cost for what can only be decscribed as a very bad experience and i will explain why.
This hotel is described as adults only. They do not tell you that they mean this is for retired people.
So someone like me who would like to book where there are no kids just so the kids would not be disturbed if we chose to have a game of cards late at night or have a drink. YOU ARE LOOKED AT AND TOLD OFF IF YOU ARE WATCHING A VIDEO ON YOUR PHONE TOO LOUD.
There is no communal TV, no sports channels so if you like football, rugby, F1 or even snooker this is not possible to watch.
the food
one day there was some beef fillet. I chose this with some bread so i could make a sandwich. I am lucky my teeth are still intact as it was like eating a sandal. The food is very sub standard and every day you would get one item that was bearable. the bacon in the norning was like paper thin and the suasages looked like they would come back to life with a good defibrilator.
the staff
The staff were very quiet but overall they were quite nice people. I think they had been told to keep quiet by management too.
one incident that happened, a guy and my mate, who were in a different room to me, and had come two days after me, had been drinking and we were all sitting in an area talking. We weren't allowed to play music and being on holiday this i feel was harsh. anyway we were all talking and this guy who was with my mate was quite drunk. He got up and he slipped and fell. There was a lot of broken glass on the floor. I helped the guy up and took him to his room as he was drunk. I went to reception. I told him there was broken glass by the pool and this could be dangerous and it should be cleaned up. i was not rude but i was actually concerned that someone could be hurt. The day after no one said anything to the drunk man but the morning after this day i had a note sent to my room telling me i had go to reception. i did and i was told the manager wanted to see me. i went into a room where there was this short angry woman a bit on the heavy side with a really bad attitude demanding that i sit down.
i sat and said nothing. she began with "i am the manager" she said this about 3 times and i asked what i was there for. she told me one guy was drunk, he fell down and broke some glass.
This is no acceptable and me and my 2 mates were to leave ASAP.
Respectfully, i told this woman that it was me who reported that someone was drunk and that he had fallen and that there was broken glass.
she would not listen. she wanted me and the other guys out. i asked what it was i had done wrong. she was too arrogant.
This was not acceptable, this hotel, the food and the management are not worth wasting money on. I know they reply to all reviews and that, if you read will show some arrogance. please do not waste your money as i was not refunded either
The rules on smoking
Allowed in rooms. I was told I was smoking in my room. I don't even smoke. These people will reply and they will try and tell everyone that they are squeaky clean. The management are arrogant and I wouldn't go there ev n if that paid me to stay

I was in the room 1, the girl with the blue/green hair. I just wanted to say that I really loved everything about my stay in this hotel. Everything was perfect to me, from the staff to the food. The staff was particularly sweet and always smiled at me, especially two receptionists. I'd love to come back here in the future.
Merci beaucoup !
