My turn…crazy how we booked this hotel 3 weeks ago and the rating has gone from 4.5 to 4.1….new management this year needs sorting LOL. Anyway lets get to it… Stayed for 5 nights, upgraded to all-inclusive — which apparently means some meals, some drinks, and zero snacks, despite the welcome info clearly stating otherwise. BUT I can see in the hotels replies that that it was our fault for not asking…classic. Arrived at 4:30pm, and by noon on the final day, we were cut off like we’d overstayed our welcome. No lunch, no drinks, not even a farewell cup of warm water from reception. Water in the fridge when we arrived? Never replenished, but again..we were meant to ask? Never in my life at an all inclusive have I had to ask just tight. The water machine was marked “All Inclusive Only” — ironic, since it dispensed lukewarm disappointment. Reception offered the same. Oh and if you’re half board/B&B be prepared to die of thirst as you’re not allowed to use the dispenser or take your own water you have to buy from them. Funny thing was someone actually did buy it and took back to their towel and were yelled at for drinking the water. Bar staff were consistently rude. The head of the bar (Manuel I think) took it upon himself to comment every single morning about my drinking — based on the fact that I was tipsy on arrival. That one moment became his daily material. My mum, who is 58, was treated like a teenager by the lifeguard who shouted at her for having a plastic cup by the pool. Meanwhile, he spent most of his time on his phone or doing his hair and admiring himself. Cups were left everywhere, but hey — priorities. The hotel also replied to this claim in my Mum’s review about the lifeguard being committed to safety of the guests so couldn’t collect glasses, lifeguards at my gym also are required to sit by their equipment they can use to do the actual saving and if caught on their phone this is immediate dismissal…I think collecting a few cups 2 metres from the pool isn’t going to steal your attention from someone drowning as much as your phone is… And then the hotel replied to her review saying her behaviour was unacceptable. A 58-year-old woman calmly describing her experience gets told off again — this time in writing. Embarrassing. Instead of addressing the issues, they doubled down with a copy-paste response and a sprinkle of condescension. We also met a lovely hen party — 11 respectful women, far from rowdy. They tried to bring a bit of life to the poolside (which had zero music) with a quiet speaker. Other guests asked them to turn it up! But the lifeguard swooped in with a warning. They did aqua aerobics, which guests joined and loved — but when they tried a synchronised dance, they were told not to laugh. Yes, really. Guests were smiling and enjoying it, but apparently joy is banned. The hotel’s reply to them? “Other guests complained.” Honestly, it’s more embarrassing that the hotel thinks laughter and low-volume music are disturbances.

So myself and my husband booked this over 9 months ago. A simple break to include my 55th birthday and our 2nd wedding anniversary. We are well travelled...we normally do 4 holidays a year ...canaries,maritius and Caribbean. This week away was a quick getaway from normally bad irish weather!!! So on arrival....our room wasn't ready until 4pm.....considering 2pm is check in....not acceptable. We had been travelling from Ireland since 6am. Room was small, needed updating but clean. We were all inclusive booked months ago...but all inclusive includes 1 cocktail...and stops at 22.00 . For eating at al la carte all inclusive is only left side of menu. I requested a burger for lunch on3 day and it arrived so pink in middle it had a pulse....I sent it straight back and 2nd time round it arrived back pink and cold in middle....sadly if a chef can't cook a burger ....NOT GOOD!!! Now....staff..... Manuel the waiter is absolutely the most unfriendly, unwelcoming totally catatonic individual ai have ever come across and certainly not an asset for any business in hospitality. He never communicates with guests...never smiles....dreadful man. All inclusive entitled us to a water machine with warm water....wow!!! If not all inclusive....you got no water!!!! Lifeguard with the 80,s sunglasses....appauling....walked round pool with visible filthy feet in his flip flops....periodically stepping into shower to wet his hair.....and at one point disappearing behind trees near shower coming out adjusting his shorts....the mind boggles!!!Same man washed his dirty feet in pool most mornings as he arrived on Duty. During our stay we paid for change of towels daily...2nd day a young receptionist guy with serious attitude on request for clean towels said I don't have any only dirty if you are in desperate need. Then the following morning became quite defensive with us as we had reported it...denying he had said this despite another guest witnessing it. To the lovely girls who arrived for a hen weekend....I think you were victimised from the start..these girls were fun and brought an atmosphere to an otherwise dead and lifeless hotel. They were advised to jot laugh so loud and everything they did they were criticised by staff. This is not a hotel I recommend....we paid for all inclusive months ago which they had to honour..not all inclusive now...however....in all our travels worldwide we have never been advised our drinks stop at 22.00 or we can only have certain items off lunch menu....ALL INCLUSIVE MEANS ALL INCLUSIVE FOR DURATION OF STAY....NO EXCEPTION!!!!!!WE PAID FOR A SERVICE!!! Never have we experienced such a hotel.....we won't be back and won't be recommending this to anyone!!!! Oonagh & Nick Walton

My main issue with the hotel was the food and how unprofessional some of the staff were. I’ll start with the food. Our stay included bed and breakfast. After a few days of staying at the hotel it was obvious that some of the food was not being served fresh and it had been used the day before. When taking my breakfast, I noticed the scrambled egg was different shades of yellow, and the bacon was very tough. At lunchtime I ordered a club sandwich, again the bacon was tough, and the bread was solid. I couldn’t eat it like a normal sandwich. When I took a bite the whole thing fell apart because I couldn’t tear the bacon or the bread with my teeth. I had to use a knife and fork to cut it. The hotel charged me 12 euro. Evening meal was not good either. One of the choices was chicken nuggets lol and mozzarella sticks. The pasta was cold and the sauce was horrible. Very poor quality. I ate it anyway but ended up going out and buying something else because I didn’t feel satisfied. Now onto the staff. At breakfast, I went to what looked like the omelette station. There were eggs and various other fillings visible. I asked the chef for an omelette. He looked at me like I had 2 heads. He then cooked the omelette and gave it to me. I wanted ham and cheese in my omelette. He didn’t even ask what filling I wanted before he started cooking it. After a day by the pool I went to reception to change our towels. I asked the receptionist if I could change them, he said ok and then just carried on looking at his computer screen while I stood there waiting. The pool lifeguard spoke to a group of women on a hen do in an angry manner after they did some water aerobics to music. There are problems with this hotel, but the unprofessional staff are rude and unapproachable and don’t do their jobs properly leading to very poor service. I don’t think anyone enjoys working there. For this reason, I didn’t complain about the food, I just didn’t eat it.

The room was very clean, but there were many ants if you left any food or crumbs around. I personally do not mind ants, but some people might find it unpleasant. The reception and restaurant staff were nice, but I think the real problem is with the management. The hotel did not make me feel like a valued guest, as I believe I should have. Instead, it felt like they were trying to cut costs on everything, even the smallest things. The whole management team needs to change their approach. For example, there were pieces of hard-boiled egg mixed in with the scrambled eggs, which makes it clear that the leftover boiled eggs from the day before were being used. The bacon was dried out and obviously from the previous day, maybe even older. Fruit options were very limited and always the cheapest varieties, with the same selection every day. There were no sugar-free options for anything, even though there are diabetic guests. I was glad our booking was only bed and breakfast. One evening we decided to stay for dinner in the hotel, and it was awful. We paid 50 euros, but the food was very poor. We were too tired to go out after spending the whole day at the beach, but the salad was full of random leftover cheeses, the kind you could tell were just thrown in from what was left over. The hot food included chicken nuggets, sausage, tasteless plain spaghetti, and no proper meat, or other proper dishes. The cheese and deli items were alright, but nothing else stood out. Another day, my husband ordered a sandwich for lunch, and it was once again filled with leftover ingredients from breakfast. We were also part of a group of 11 ladies celebrating a hen do. This is an adults-only hotel (16+), and while we were enjoying ourselves around the pool, we were told off. It was not just the fact that we were told something, but the unfriendly way it was done. The general atmosphere felt tense, as if the staff were unhappy. Many employees seemed stressed and wound up. The waiters and reception staff treated us well, but I am not sure if the bartender has ever smiled in his life. This is definitely not the standard of a four-star hotel or service. The rooms are small, with very limited storage space for clothes. The best part of the hotel is its location, which is excellent, with three nice beaches nearby.

We stayed here for 4 days, 3 nights as a group of 11 girls. We’re a very respectful group, far from rowdy. Music is none existent at the pool side so we put our speaker on low, not to disturb other guests, though other guests asked us to turn it up. Life guard straight over with a warning. We did aqua aerobics in the pool, many gusts joined in and it was great fun! (We were lucky!)… as when it came to doing a synchronise dance in the pool for some light entertainment. We were told not to laugh!! Again all guests watched and laughed/smiled with us. It was embarrasing for the hotel to do this. We were all inclusive guests- the drinks were fine, food ok. When lunch was not buffet and an ordering system it was FANTASTIC! The food was a lot better this way, though the wait was quite a while (over 1 hour) buffet in the evening was edible. The head bar staff was re named mr grumpy. Though one of the waiters was an absolute super star, friendly, funny. If only all the staff was like him! Enough Sunbeds for everyone, though half are in the shade all day. Beach is just around the corner, so a lovely short walk. With some lovely bars and restaurants nearby. If you fancy an Indian, taj India is awesome! Not a 4 star, more like a generous 3.

Lovely Hotel shame about the staff! Upgraded to all inclusive booked for 5 Nights, first day arrived at 4.30pm Last day cut off for all inclusive was 12pm no No DRINKS OR LUNCH offered, whole trip no snacks offered even when clearly printed in the welcome information. Water in the fridge in our room when we got there, was never replenished! Water machine said all inclusive Only, you could get warm water at reception! Bar Staff rude unfriendly, head waiter made comments every morning about my daughter drinking, we were tipsy on the day we arrived and he made same comments every day, very rude! Met some other girls in a large party of eleven , they were told off constantly for laughing to loudly and having fun! Life guard screamed at me for having a plastic cup by poolside, I am a 58 year old woman very intimidating! Life guard spent the whole time doing his hair looking at himself, never collected plastic cups on the tables he loved himself never interacted with guests only to shout! King and the waitresses were the the only kind and considerate staff in the Hotel, food was excellent and rooms were clean but on the small side and beds not stranded UK single size. Head waiter was so rude to guests, never been to a Hotel staff acted this way!

Not a 4 Star So stayed here for 5 days. Pros: On arrival a cold buffet had been set aside which was most welcome. Air con worked and shower was consistent although it is an over the bath shower so if mobility is an issue, then not a great choice. Breakfast and dinner were adequate . Buy your drinks at the bar and then choose your food. Usual fare- bacon though did look quite dried out. Cons: Bacon looked dry and there was an inadequate turn around between dishes emptying and being promptly replenished . I couldn’t see soya milk but there was soya yogurt. There were enough sun beds although people did book them even though it says to not do this, it was not supervised. Bar staff seem very busy; 1 person serving drinks at dinner plus helping in the restaurant. This may explain the red wine being quickly poured into a glass with it dripping down the side on to my clothes. Member of the public split their dish and as result went over my dress- no staff came to help clear the spillage The worst: cleanliness. Room was cleaned once during my entire stay. INADEQUATE

We stayed at the Oberoy for a week and had a great, relaxing holiday. This little hotel has lots to offer. Great location, good food, lovely, clean rooms, poolside and pool area spotless and quiet, and none of this booking sun beds nonsense with towels! We had a lovely stay here but what makes this hotel special is the amazing, friendly, helpful staff, from reception to bar staff to housekeeping. We will definitely come back.
22.06.2025
A gem of a hotel, welcomed by friendly staff, immaculate room fully equipped with fridge and air conditioning, shower gel and hairdryer. The food was delicious, I’m a vegetarian and my husband is a big meat eater! Plenty of choice for us both, fresh breads, salads and selection of vegetable dishes and a live grill for meats. Tasty soups, pasta and cheeses available at every meal. If we’d have known the food was going to be so good we’d have gone all inclusive and not half board. Very attentive chefs and waiting staff. The pool and jacuzzi were lovely, quiet and peaceful. Location was great, a couple of minutes from the beach and boulevard.
12.06.2025
On arrival reception very welcoming, offering us food and a drinks. Room small but has all you need, very clean, 2 beds pushed together but very comfortable, 2 bottles of water in the fridge on arrival , never replaced. No coffee /tea making facilities in the room. Free use of safe. Only Shower is in bath, very powerful. No towels in room on arrival. Door doesn’t fit in frame so bright hall light shines in room all night. Have to pay €10 deposit for pool towels. Wouldn’t say the amenities makes this a 4 star, more a 3 star. Not much choice in food but what was offered was nice and fresh, although not hot enough, Deserts limited. Bar doesn’t open until 11am and stops at 10pm for all inclusive. No snacks throughout the day apart from biscuits/ wafers. Had to pay for ice creams. We ate out a few times, amazing local steak restaurant near the hotel. Slow service at the bar at times, a lack of water/ drinks during dinner, not always clearing plates quick enough, a very rude restaurant manager let the hotel down, talking to other guests seems he is rude to English women only! Shouted at me where to sit at breakfast saying we close in 10 minutes! It was 10:15, breakfast is until 10:30! Witnessed him speak to other guest rudely and abruptly. Apart from most of reception staff, lovely smiley guy called King and the evening bar man, the other restaurant/ bar staff were not over friendly, hardly cracking a smile. Lovely walk to promenade and beach, relaxing area with restaurants, bars and shops. Day 5 turned from a relaxing holiday to 20 plus German men booking in making this far from a relaxing holiday for couples, as advertised. Complained to management and they said will tell them to keep the noise down, good luck with that! Felt like we were now in Magaluf!! Beware check out is 12pm and they remove your wrist band so you cannot get any food or drink unless you pay €25 each! Never had this before in other all inclusive hotels. So if you’re after a relaxing quiet 4* holiday avoid this hotel Would return to Peguera as it is beautiful, but not this hotel.
