Reviews
The hotel is lovely and clean and checking in was very quick. Rooms easy to find and the site it’s on looks lovely. So first impressions of the place was awesome.
The rooms are very nice n a good size clean n very practical. Suits couples better but if u have kids like us the sofa turns into a decent bed. The bedroom is separate from the front so that’s also an advantage if u want to have a quick nap n the rest can chill in the front . One thing is the HDMI socket are blocked on the tv so if u take a switch or a fire stick it unfortunately doesn’t work on there tv so dont expect to watch anything other than itv or bbc . We like to watch a film the odd night so unfortunately couldn’t. But all in all a solid 8 for the rooms .
The food . What can I say about the food . It’s absolutely rubbish. The bfast is terrible they grill or fry hotdog sausage for the bfast n the bacon is so fatty there’s no bacon scrambled egg still runny n boiled eggs just about boiled. The dinner is equally as bad as is the evening meals . Compared to other all inclusive we have the choice is very limited n most days we had to eat out or have chips n ice cream . It was a really disappointment and we love food . The snack bar food is the same they cook it for u so the hotdog I tried they cooked fresh n the bun was actually hotter than the sausage. The chips was cold like they had done them in cool oil not fully up to temp .
The drinks are great and cocktails are decent and included on all inclusive. Entertainment isn’t gr8 but ok but it’s generally a few kids standing around n singing or dancing each night n mainly not in English.
It’s a walk to the town an after a few days the walk gets very long to the point u don’t want to walk there . There’s no shops in the hotel but water on recreation for 1.5 euros. Taxi is between 5-6 euros each way so not to bad and makes life a lot more easy .
If ur looking for a relaxing place with a few pools n clean then this is the place but if like us u love ur food it’s probably not for u .
Lovely hotel but food is terrible
For the price, the value exceeded expectations, making for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. The evening kids’ mini disco was a delightful touch, though, like most hotels, it was brief at 30 minutes. The hotel’s peaceful atmosphere added to its charm, and its location—just a pleasant 25-minute walk from town—provided a perfect balance of tranquility and accessibility.
We highly recommend Labranda Alyssa Suite Hotel to families seeking a comfortable and serene holiday experience.
Loved our stay and will definitely come back to Lanzarote to explore further.
My door on our room wouldn't lock as it had dropped. Cleaners didn't realise so my door was left open after cleaning. They fixed it but after a couple of days it dropped again. I had to wait for my room to be cleaned before going out so I could lock up. Closest beach is about 20 mins walk flamingo beach. Main playa blanca is about a 40 minute walk. There are cats about too which I made friends with, if you go here give them some loves from me 🥰
We booked an all-inclusive day pass at the Labranda Alyssa Suites Hotel, planning to use the facilities on our last day before flying home as we had to check out of our villa early and thought this would be a relaxing way to spend the afternoon — unfortunately, it was a big disappointment.
The day pass clearly states it includes lunch and dinner and is valid until 6pm. What it doesn’t tell you is that the evening dinner buffet doesn’t start until 6:30pm, which makes no sense when you have to leave the hotel at 6, so before we had to leave for the airport we’d planned to grab something from the snack bar before leaving. But when we went to order food, we were told the snack bar closes at 5pm! So between 5 and 6pm — when you’re still supposedly on an “all-inclusive” pass — there’s no food available at all. It feels very misleading, and definitely not what we paid for.
The hotel itself is also very run down. Most of the machines in the kids’ games room were broken, the volleyball net was broken, and the wooden stairs leading up to the snack bar were cracked and felt unsafe. Inside the restaurant, a lot of the glasses were dirty, the fizzy drinks machine was out of order, and the food we did have was bland and forgettable.
We have since brought up our concerns with the hotel management, but the response has been extremely was poor — nothing was really addressed, very dismissive about all my points and are refusing any kind of refund even though we have mis-sold on the all inclusive day pass package.
We were hoping for a relaxing end to our holiday but instead we've been left feeling disappointed and frustrated. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel for a day pass, or otherwise, it's a relief that we didn't have to stay there.
Upon arrival, the airport transfer dropped us off at the bottom of the hotel, and we had to haul our luggage up two sets of stairs. Despite having two receptionists on duty, no one offered to assist us. The welcome at the reception was underwhelming—no greeting whatsoever. They couldn’t locate our booking and instructed my husband to screen print our reservation and email it to them.
The reception staff lacked any semblance of customer service and appeared visibly unhappy. One receptionist, in particular, had a very unfriendly demeanor—if looks could kill, you’d know who I mean when you see her.
The rooms themselves are outdated and not very clean, in dire need of refurbishment. Our shower leaked, and the doors squeaked. Additionally, the water temperature fluctuated dramatically, making it easy to get burned.
But the most disappointing aspect of our stay was the food. The quality was awful —if you enjoy greasy chips and overcooked pizza, you might be satisfied. The salad selection was limited to wilted cucumbers and tomatoes, and the desserts were poorly defrosted cakes. The restaurant itself was unclean, with dirty doors and windows, and we were bothered by flies throughout our meals.
We had booked the all-inclusive package and initially received a glass of rosé from a bottle. However, when my husband requested another, we were told it was only available to VIP guests and that we had to settle for the cheap, vinegar-tasting wine on tap. It was disappointing that no staff offered to serve drinks during meals; they were only there to clear plates.
Overall, this experience has not met the expectations set by the hotel’s supposed rating.
The reason I have given a 4* and not a 5* - although I enjoyed the food, sometimes the labels were not accurate, for example one day I saw a vegan label on a seafood paella and sometimes there were no labels at all. If you have a strict diet this might be a problem, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would also have liked to have seen a larger cocktail menu but what we did have was good.
