Reviews
The food is terrible ,
There doesn't appear to have a good day it's been awful all throughout the day.
I'm a fairly picky eater , but my husband isn't and he's struggled.
Nothing is labelled , and is barely warm.
We paid all inclusive , but have barely used any facilities here .
Theres no milk for the coffee in the room ,
The lift is broken
The pool bar is majority paid for requests , with minimal stuff included in the All inclusive package .
The receptionist that we have dealt with have been amazing , very polite ,
The hotel is upon a hill, which we did know , but didn't quite realise how steep it is .
There is a bus to and from , but it gets very busy coming back up .
I really wouldn't stay here again , I only booked this place for the food and adults only , but I can't stress enough how bad the food is
It was my birthday whilst I was away, and when I returned to my room after spending the day out, I found a little happy birthday note and a bottle of champagne courtesy of the hotel. It was such a nice thoughtful touch!
All of the staff were very friendly and happy to help. One thing however that bothered me was that the staff in the buffet restaurant whisked plates away from underneath you, literally as soon as I was still chewing my last forkful of food. One time I hadn’t actually finished eating but they took my plate away before I could object.
The food and restaurant did let the hotel down a bit. I’m vegetarian and found it incredibly frustrating that the food was labelled sporadically and sparingly and usually not at all. I accidentally ended up eating fish because of this. This meant I had to err on the side of the caution and my lunch and dinner meals were variations on margarita pizza slices/chips/potatoes/salads/bread rolls. They had a sort of Asian Fusion night with a big selection of sushi rolls but none were labelled so I couldn’t tell if there were any omelette or avocado or cucumber rolls. I felt like I was missing out. Breakfast was a lot better, however and I had more options here.
The all inclusive snacks at the pool bar were good - as a vegetarian I had vegan nachos and a hummus and pitta bread plate. However, whilst the hamburger was available under all inclusive, the veggie burger was not - I had to pay for that, which felt really unfair.
The drinks were fine, pretty standard fare, but the frozen daiquiris were really not frozen. Still, there was a range of good cocktails available under all inclusive.
The location of the hotel wasn’t great- it was situated at the top of a *very* steep hill that meant I only went into town a couple of times due to the real hike in getting back up. They do however provide a free coach service to ferry people up and down into the town at a few set times each day. I went on this once and it was a bit nerve wrecking seeing how the coach navigated some very narrow and steep roads…rollercoaster sprung to mind! It also services a couple of other hotels so by the time it arrived at this hotel, there were literally only a couple of seats left (this was at 0940 in the morning).
Indeed, if you have mobility problems this is not the hotel for you. Only one of the two lifts were in operation my whole time there, and the corridors to the rooms, the buffet restaurant and pool area were ridiculously long. I’d say you’d struggle to manage the walks if you used a walking stick or crutch.
The pool area was nice, with some pretty comfy loungers, and 4 Bali beds you can reserve for 30 euros each. I reserved one for my birthday and it was worth it. Very luxurious, had a great time reading and dozing on a very comfortable mattress, with the ability to alter the blinds at the sides and ends of the bed to determine how much sunlight you’re getting. However, some days the pool area had a weird sewage-y smell lingering around it, and there was often some noise in the form of a rock band practising in what I assume was a garage of a nearby house - and the singer REALLY couldn’t sing!
Unsure if I would stay here again because of the food and its hill top location. But the adult only vibe was a welcome relief and the rooms were lovely.
Everything was great — the staff, the food, the service — but one small issue was that the TV in the bedroom was not a smart TV, so we couldn't watch YouTube or stream any content. If the room had a smart TV, it would have made the stay even better.
Still, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing holiday!
