Hotel Gran Garbi & AquaSplash

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Gran Garbi in Lloret de Mar! The rooms are a bit tired and definitely not up to a true 4-star standard, but still functional – with air conditioning, a fridge, a safe, a balcony with clothes-drying lines, and Wi-Fi. Housekeeping was done daily and very well.

The restaurant was excellent – a large variety of food, everything fresh and tasty. The bar was also good with a wide selection of drinks. Evening entertainment included small concerts and animations for children, which added a nice touch.

The pools were fantastic – large, clean water, and the slides were absolutely great fun for both kids and adults. The staff were truly professional and friendly.

One downside was that there seemed to be very little security presence. Also, the biggest minus was arriving at 1 AM and finding that there was no drinking water available anywhere – not even a bottle waiting in the room, and no shop or vending machine open.

Overall, a great experience and I would gladly come back – but be aware that the 4-star rating is a bit of a stretch, mainly due to the condition of the rooms.

Great hotel just 300 m from Llorret de Mar beach. There are many shops around. Room serviced everyday on our stay. We went for half board, very happy with the staff, restaurant manager and staffs also good shout out to the Animation team. Restaurant foods are amazing and cater for all tastes. Specially halal options. There is water park it will open only from 1st of June to 15th of September.
One small request, please don't display pork and halal food next to each other.

The staff were all really nice and are willing to help you with anything, they really keep on top of the general cleaning of the resort.
The rooms are small for a family of 4 and a bit outdated but the way I saw it was we are not here to sit in the room all day it's just for sleeping in.. the air con didn't work the first night for us but we reported it to reception and it was fixed the very next day. Beds where made for us every morning and also fresh new towels.
The pools are brilliant for the kids my two boys age 7 and 3 loved them. And the aqua park they absolutely loved with all of the slides. Make sure you bring along a beach blanket of some sort as the sun loungers are like gold dust but there is lots of room to lay down a blanket at the aqua splash.
The food is very basic for the kids.. fish and chips, nuggets and chips, pizza. My boys love that kind of stuff so it was a win for us!, food for the adults was very nice lots of new things to try and alot of things that I would make at home for dinners, we was all inclusive and I have no complaints about the food whatever.
All inclusive drinks - is your fizzy drinks (Pepsi, cloudy lemonade, 7up and a couple others.)
Alcoholic drinks - we tried all of the cocktails and they where very nice.
There are lots of shops close buy to get gifts and bits for yourself.
The beach is not far away. But my 3 year old did struggle somedays with the walking too and from so I would say if you don't have a very confident walker bring a pram.
The evening entertainment was also very good there is a kids mini disco before the main event, the magic show my oldest loved and now believes magic is real.
All in all would I come back to this resort YES I would! It was a lovely holiday and the best memories where made.

The rooms in the hotel are really disappointing - too small, you have literally no space there. The room for 4 was made by adding 2 single beds so we ended up sleeping all together in a long row of beds. Rooms are old school, we had blocked drains in the shower which caused flooding all the time and there was a nasty smell of mold from the air conditioner. The huge plus of the hotel is the cleanliness of the rooms, the cleaner was there every day and most of the service room was so lovely. In the bar or restaurants most of the service was fantastic as well, but the absolutely huge star of this hotel was animator Sergio - he makes an outstanding atmosphere there, absolutely joyful to meet people like him and I think he is the best part of this place. The location of the hotel is okay, really close to the beaches from both sides and literally everywhere.
