Hotel Colon Rambla

Whilst this was just a one night stop over for us at the beginning of our holiday, we were somewhat disappointed with the hotel in general. I wouldn't say it was a "holiday" destination and the hotel is situated next to a school so the area itself is very busy. Have to say the hotel is beautifully clean and the room was adequate for what we needed. There are tea/coffee making facilities, but you get x1 water each as well as tea and coffee. We asked for extra and given one more sachet each. Having the windows open is a bit risky as the area is generally very noisy. We had a "view" of the school next door and listened to a football match until 8pm. Staff are pleasant enough and very accommodating but messages are confusing. We were told we could use the luggage room on arrival (our room wasn't ready) but "told off" on the morning of departure because staff "let you in"?? I'd say the hotel is better suited for business stop overs,although we did see some "holiday makers" as well. Breakfast was nice,plenty of choice. There are meals available throughout the day but we felt these were pricey for what they were. Doubt we would stay here again,but it did serve its purpose and certainly did not spoil the start of our holiday.
