Returned from our first trip to Santa Ponsa a couple of weeks ago and this hotel was amazing and we thoroughly recommend it. From our arrival (20 minute transfer) the reception staff were very welcoming and although our room wasn't quite ready it was no problem and they were very accommodating. The food and variety was fantastic and anyone saying it was repetitive and not enough variety clearly wasn't staying here? Well prepared and lovely with different theme nights everyday. The rooftop adults only pool and bar is a selling point of this hotel with a choice of this or the family pool below. The rooftop is lovely with stunning views and very peaceful if that's what you want. What we found very useful was the wristband you get given on arrival is also your room key so no issue of losing door keys and you have to scan your wrist band on entry to the dinning room and when getting drinks etc. Only slight issue we had was we were initially given a first floor room above reception and we found it to be very noisy 24/7 with people coming and going and the entertainment on till late which is also next to reception. We asked to be moved and we we got a room on floor 2 well away from reception. This was no problem to reception staff and very much appreciated by us. Entertainment is average but if it's not your thing there's plenty of places to visit only a 5 minute walk away. All in all a fantastic holiday and we will be booking again next year.

We stayed for 12 days at the beginning of July. Hotel overall is great. Reception are brilliant, very helpful from quick and easy check in to help us out with checking out due to us having a very late flight. We were able to add late check out & keep the room till we left the hotel at 8pm (extra cost, depending on how long you need it) or they will allocate you half an hour for a shower room to get ready, first come first served on the day of departure. All inclusive food was great, loved the open plan kitchen so you could see the chiefs cooking the meat fresh daily & eggs very way possible in the morning. The main pool is of good size but can get very crowded at times. The rooftop pool & bar is a great place to spend place to spend your day, dip pool great for dipping out of all day. The beds up there do go quick in the morning though but throughout the day you can find something to lounge on. Rebecca on the bar does a great job keeping everyone refreshed & leaves you in control with the music. Santa ponsa as a resort was okay. When we were there the town was full of hundreds of Irish teenages. If you turn right at the end of the main road & walk up you’ll find the ***** of Irish pubs & bars. If you turn left, walk towards the roundabout, you’ll find the better bars & tapas restaurants! The only let down of the hotel is the evenings for us. Evenings consisted of half an hour of bingo or quizzes then some kind of terrible tribute singers. The all inclusive finishes at half 11 which is fair enough but at half 10 the music gets turned off outside on the terrace & inside & lights start getting switched off, one night people were having it use touches on their phones to see what they were doing inside the bar. The bar completely closes at half 11, even for those paying, you can’t get another drink. Then at quarter to 12 some of the staff come back out telling everyone that the terrace is closing, most nights guests still had tables full of drinks because everyone bulk orders before the bar closes. It felt like they didn’t want anyone round late at night. Overall would we go back, maybe!

We stayed at the beginning of July all amenities and food excellent. Annabel very helpful. All staff great definitely will be returning next year. Absolutely loved the roof top pool. Thanks for a great holiday Yvonne and john partridge

Negatives- we were there for 2 weeks and on the 9th day I had to ask for the bed sheets to be changed as they had not been changed. The food in the “a la carte” once a week was horrendous, cold and chewy food We were there for a wedding which hotel staff new about and we were not allowed 2 glasses of all inclusive wine up to the room whilst getting ready as it had to be “plastic cups” for the father of the bride There was a problem with taxis on the day of the wedding picking up at hotels so one of the receptionist uncle came to pick up the father of the bride and charged 90 euros for a 50-60 euro journey Positives- the entertainment team are absolutely amazing and great fun The “a la carte” restaurant for lunch is amazing A lot of the staff are really friendly The room was cleaned with fresh towels every day We did see a family of ducks in the pool I would definitely say 3 star at most

Fabulous hotel in a great location... what's not to love! Excellent friendly staff, clean and fresh inside the hotel, great food with so many choices to suit everyone, great disabled access (although the disability lift is a little challenging but manageable) and lovely pool areas, especially the roof-top "adult only" pool and bar area. Nothing is too much trouble and the friendly helpful staff are so accommodating. My partner is in a wheelchair and everything was accessible, including just a 5 minute stroll to the lovely beach, shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel even offer a service to rent wheelchairs, mobility scooters and walkers for a very good price. Would highly recommended this hotel and will definitely be going back soon!

Absolutely fabulous hotel!! Stayed for a week, had a fantastic stay. From the moment we arrived, Alex on reception was so welcoming & friendly. ALL staff were extremely professional, helpful, happy & enthusiastic. The hotel was spotless, rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels, always cleaning going on around the hotel. Rooms were spacious & beds very comfortable. Breakfast excellent & so much choice. Always enough beds around the pool & no early morning dash to find one!! Close to beach, shops, bars & some great restaurants, Jackie's about a 5 minute walk is a must. Would highly recommend & will definitely be returning. Huge thanks for a perfect stay!

We have just returned from 10 days at this hotel. It was wonderful, clean, food was amazing, the staff were all lovely and helpful and the entertainment team were exceptional. We have absolutely no complaints or issues with this hotel and would recommend it to everybody. It was so good we barely left the hotel at all. Thank you to all for our wonderful stay.

Fantastic hotel , staff couldn’t do enough for us , we loved the snack bar excellent service great food and amazing cocktails, won’t be 25 years until my next visit, food in the resteraunt was great with plenty of choices whether you wanted something light or a full blown feast I would fully recommend a visit to Maria at the spa

It's the last night of our holiday and sad to be leaving. The hotel is spotlessly clean, large and generous communal areas. Room was clean and bed comfortable. There was a singer on every night between 930 and 1030 and Milan worked the room, making connections and making everyone feel special. Was my partners 50th whilst we were at the hotel and they made a fuss of him, cava to the room, cake in the a La carte restaurant, sang to him in caberet room. An extensive cocktail list and food a very high standard in the buffet restaurants and also great in the a La carte lunch restaurant. We stayed all inclusive and would highly recommend. Fave hang out was roof top sun terrace on the most amazingly comfortable beds. Already planning to come again as central in santa ponsa and a lovely place to stay from day one. Also had massage and thumbs up for that too.

First of all I want to say what a wonderful hotel with amazing staff! Having disabled access in and around the hotel, makes a good place to stay for all abilities, includingcyclists, golfers and other sports enthusiasts. All the staff are superb and really seem to take pride in the work/role and hotel. The entire hotel, including the room was kept very clean. Our room was really good and had a lovely balcony which got the sun on for the majority of the day. There's an indoor pool was quite cool, lovely jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The roof top pool is really nice and is for 18+ years only. There was some great entertainment for all age ranges during the holiday. I need to mention some extremely special people who went above and beyond to make our holiday perfect. There are three fantastic managers there; Victor, Josè and Enrique. They do their jobs wonderfully and translated for me as I'm not very good at speaking Spanish. I really couldn't have got the necessary help without them. I really appreciated the time and support they gave me. The chefs were amazing! Tomas, Raul and Dani prepared and served my food specially due to serious food allergies. Every meal really was amazing and I can't thank them enough for looking after me so well. They are extremely talented chefs. The food that was available to everyone looked and tasted just as amazing too, apparently. Manuel is fantastic and makes people smile. He is friendly and brilliant at cooking flipped fried eggs that have soft yolks amongstotherthings. He taught me some Spanish too . I missed seeing him on the last 2 days. Then there are the lovely Petra and Nieves, who work in the restaurant. Always smiling and ready to help you in any way they can. There were many more amazing staff who I can't name but were just as hard working and kind. Sorry if I haven't mentioned you but a huge thank you to you all. Every day I saw both the director and sub-director walking around the hotel, who were also very friendly and professional in their roles. Last but not least was our wonderful Jet 2 rep Stephenie. What a brilliant lady you are. Stephenie has a wealth of knowledge about where to go and when to go. I definitely recommend anyone pop and see her as soon as possible to get any trips booked. I was sad that I missed saying goodbye to her. Make sure you check what days and times you can change your pool towels as we weren't allowed to change ours as it wasn't the right day. Some of the roof top sun beds had tears on which could do with sorting. The Block House restaurant (steak house) is a short walk away from the hotel and does fantastic steaks. Service is great but it's a bit expensive. If you go on the Soller island trip please be aware that food isn't included in the cost of the day trip. The trip to Valldemossa is a half-day trip. It's a bit expensive for the trip as it doesn't include the entry fees to go in the museum to see Choppins piano and accommodation/garden.
