Zafiro Rey Don Jaime in Santa Ponsa

Excellent hotel, have been going there for almost 30 years now, that’s how much we love everything about it. Excellent location with small walking distance to the beach and all amenities, great variety of cafes, restaurants and bars with great entertainment also within walking distance.
Extremely warm welcome from the minute you arrive at the hotel, very pleasant , friendly and helpful staff who go over and above to make you feel comfortable and relaxed.
The hotel you can clearly see on arrival is bright, with lovely decor and immaculate.
The rooms are also immaculate and very inviting with extremely large and comfortable beds.
The pool area is beautiful with a large amount of sun loungers and you don’t have to worry about getting up early to put a towel down, always enough space for everyone in our experience on going every year, May and September.Great experiences during the day with excellent entertainment staff who go out of their way to make everyone feel included and welcomed.
The staff in the restaurant are all very friendly and welcoming and the food in our experience was of good quality and good variety.
Everything about our stay from the extremely pleasant,welcoming young man at check in (so sorry we didn’t get his name ) was amazing he was so helpful and remembered us from our last visit.
Every night we were welcomed back into the hotel at the end of the evening with such a happy smile from the night receptionist Raffa, who is an absolute joy and in our opinion such an asset to the hotel with his joyful aura.
Would always recommend this hotel to friends and family as everything about it we can’t fault, brilliant experience all round.

Wow what can I say, just got home after a week here celebrating my 60th with my girlfriends. This hotel is amazing. Spotlessly clean, food wow beautifully cooked so much to choose from. Great bedrooms would be nice to have a few more English Chanel’s on TV 😊. 10 mins walk to beautiful beach, shops and bars. All the staff are amazing keep up the good work 👏🏼👏🏼. Everyone was so friendly. I will definitely be back and my friends have said the same. I can see why people return.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Haven’t got a bad word to say about it!
From the roof top bar, to fresh made cocktails, and the unbelievably good buffet food and al la carte menu.
The entire experience was amazing.

I do have to give an extra special shout out to Milan, the entertainment staff and Aidan who worked the bar and pool restaurant because they were absolutely fantastic!

Been here 4 years in a row, at the start of September every time and already looking to book next year, couldn’t fault it.

I also left my brand new Nike Air trainers in my hotel room on the day off leaving, got in touch with Alex at reception (who did remember me from the year before) he found my trainers and sent them back to me for a small fee, which is unreal! Really wasn’t expecting to see them again unless I came to pick them up next year! Hahahaha

Large, modern hotel with gym, spa and 2 pools, 1 on ground floor and 1 on the roof! Located away from the older, seedy side of the resort.

Fantastic array of excellent quality buffet food, with freshly cooked steaks, fish and chicken. Service second to none. Special mention to the wonderful Petra, who couldn't do enough to help my partially disabled wife - wish we could have taken her home with us!

Really liked this hotel rooms were cleaned and replenished every day. Food was lovely something for everyone even if your gluten free there were options. Didn't like the restaurant near the pool area but thats my opinion. The poolside always got a sun lounger some pool entertainment daily. Games by the pool bar at the pool also. They could do with a little snack bar for like chips or toasties by the pool. Shops are 5 mins walking distance. Entertainment at night between bingo, live singers, good atmosphere. Lifts in the hotel are tiny . Really cant fault this hotel a/c was lovely and cool . Anything we needed help with or anything the staff were very helpful.

I couldn't fault the Zafiro Rey Don Jaime based on descriptions and photos, it was as described.
The rooms on appearance (hallways, but who looks at hallways) are "dated" but the rooms are spacious, fit for purpose and immaculately clean.
The food is fantastic, drinks are lovely and in a proper glass in the evening. Beer is in a proper beer glass and cocktails are hand made which can be reason for a longer queue.
The roof terrace is gorgeous.
Can not fault the service, always had a taxi booked and our golf experiences were fantastic!
Finally location is fantastic. Away enough to not hear noise and close enough to enjoy.
We will definitely be coming again next year.

Amazing relaxing holiday at this hotel! Fantastic staff. We stayed for a week all inclusive.

Food was incredible and varied - salads, mains and desserts with chefs cooking some dishes fresh each meal. The bistro does a small lunch menu cooked to order which we really enjoyed, and one evening meal at no additional cost if staying 1 week.

Drinks and cocktails were excellent but drink menu's were a little confusing - told some drinks only available at night but always offered an alternative. We were treated very well by all the bar staff (particularly Leo - always accommodating, friendly and helpful).

Rooms were fine but walls a little thin, although was quiet enough in our room. We liked sitting on our balcony, only just a 'sea view' as advertised!

The rooftop pool and beds were our favoured spot for a relaxing day in the sun, wished it was open longer/later to enjoy sunset. We enjoyed the entertainment. A beach and shops only a short walk away. Well worth visiting Palma (easy to get the local bus there and back) and the North mountain roads and views if you hire a car!

Wow what an amazing stay! We are a family of 9 aged from 2 to 85 and all the family had a brilliant time. The hotel is kept spotless, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is perfect, a stones throw away from the beautiful beach! Very good selection of tasty food, generous drinks and entertainment every night. If I could change anything it would only be to have the pool heated especially the children’s pool as it was very cold and I think more people would be enjoying the pool if it was heated. Highly recommend thank you!

We had a wonderful week at this hotel. Yes, perhaps the rooms are a little dated and the walls are a little thin, but it's perfectly adequate and the bed is very comfortable. That's the only negative I can think of! Good facilities, the staff couldn't do enough for you, the food was great and varied and fantastic selection of drinks. Also great location! Highlight for me was the adults only rooftop pool were I spent most of the week. Totally recommended!
