This hotel has a good location, but the rooms aren't comfortable. The bathtub is a disaster, the air conditioning doesn't work, and if you open the window, the noise of cars and people keeps you awake.
I think if you want the American market, you have to adapt to it.

A short walk from the cathedral and behind the local market. Quiet and comfortable away from the beaten path. The best breakfast in town served from 7-10:30 am. All the modern comforts and amenities at a very reasonable price. Very well decorated. Friendly staff. Reservations advised. Highly recommended

To see the censer at Santiago Cathedral, my original hotel was sold out, so I booked this place. The hotel is across the street, uphill to the ancient market, and a few minutes further to the cathedral. The room I was given was a semi-basement suite at the very end. After putting my luggage away, I went for a walk. When I returned that night, I discovered the door wouldn't lock from the inside. There was nothing I could do, so I just had to... I've never stayed in such a terrible place. Forget it, I just stayed there for one night. The front desk service and breakfast were both excellent.

I stayed here at the end of my Camino walk and it was a real treat! Less than a 15min walk to pilgrim office and the cathedral. Wonderful staff, I arrived late the first night and I was still able to get a light meal and glass of wine before bed! Breakfast is also delightful don’t miss it. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

We had a very unsettling experience during our stay at this hotel. While the room itself and the initial welcome were acceptable, our night was disrupted in a serious way. At around 11 PM, a hotel staff member mistakenly gave access to our room to two new guests. My roommate and I were abruptly woken up by strangers entering our room, which was extremely distressing and left us unable to sleep for the rest of the night.
When we brought the issue to the management’s attention the next morning, we were met with a lack of empathy. We were told it was “only a small mistake” and that “no physical harm” had occurred, which we found dismissive. They did offer to refund the cost of the room, but only on the condition that we mark our stay as a no-show on Booking.com. This would allow them to avoid paying commission and prevent us from leaving a review. We declined, as we felt this was dishonest and not an appropriate way to handle the situation.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel. Stay clear

This is a perfect destination to finish in the Camino! The antique yet well maintained hotel is just perfectly matching Santiago De Compostela! Staff are all warm welcoming and the garden view for breakfast is breathtaking! The variety of breakfast buffet is also wide ranged and I really enjoy the stay here! Gracias!

Great location about 10 minute walk to the cathedral. Perfect way to end the Camino!Clean rooms. Warm decorations. Great service. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic value & superb service
I can't speak highly enough about this hotel. The property/lobby photos don't do it justice...the hotel oozes charm. We felt more like we were in the UK versus Spain, the only thing missing was a roaring fire in the common area (although there is a small gas fireplace in the cafe). The service was fantastic, especially the ladies in the cafe in the morning. Front desk was incredibly helpful with lending us charging cables and an umbrella. Large rooms, water in the bathroom nice & hot, and comfy beds (if you like firm...minor gripe is we would prefer foam-top). We were there the last week of November, and they were putting up Christmas decorations the day before we left, which made it all the more charming. Truly incredible value for the price. 100% recommended!

Layout of hotel somewhat challenging but good breakfast and close to centre. Quiet and comfortable but bar service not the best on one night.
