The hotel is located close to the hotel Torremolinos Beach. Next to train station 25 minutes drive to Malaga centre.
Built: 1974
Renovated: 2009
Located 5 km from málaga airport, 2.5 km from downtown, 10 m from the beach.
Consists of the main 9-storey main building and 6-storey building. All rooms of 9-storey building overlooking the sea.
The hotel has 371 rooms.
Beach: public, sandy (Playa de Los Alamos) 10 m from the beach (1st coastal line). On the beach umbrellas, sun beds: free. At the pool umbrellas, sun beds: free of charge. The beach is 1.6 km away.

Upon arrival, the hotel looks nice, in a good location on the beach front. It is at the far end, so you either need to catch a bus, walk, or use a taxi to get anywhere.
There is a shop about 10 minutes walk from the hotel where you can get tea bags, milk etc as the hotel only provides a kettle and 2 cups in your room.
Rooms are not the same as advertised on, on the beach (well, our room wasn't)
The decor is very basic and dated.
The staff are very friendly, helpful, welcoming, and have been excellent with our 4 year old.
The food is good, but there is a lack of children's options, and if you have a fussy eater, you will struggle. The children's playground area is very run down and has broken slats on the climbing frame and a crack in a swing.
2 good swimming pools, just very cold.
Good verity of entertainment. However, if you are placed where we were, you probably won't get much sleep until gone 1am.
Overall, I wouldn't say it was more than a 3 star. Although we did have a pleasant holiday we wouldn't come back to this hotel.

I’ve seen a number of reviews that do not fairly represent the place so I’m going to try to set the record straight.
First, it is clearly NOT a 4 stars hotel by any international standards, but it would be a good 3 stars venue.
Nevertheless, the hotel is GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY. I think this is where most reviewers get it so wrong. I paid circa USD200 per night for a room for 2 people with basic ALL INCLUSIVE package (not the top Gold Package). Where on earth would you be able to stay with full roam & board, right in front of the beach for that sort of money? Seriously you cannot expect gourmet food and/or signature cocktails when you pay that sort of money. The team at the hotel is great too, making your stay even more pleasant. Kudos to all of them.

Don't believe all the bad reviews about this hotel, we had a good time, relaxing! The buffet is clean and the food is good. Room cleaned daily and friendly staff!! Would come back for a nice cheap holiday!

Just spent a wonderful 2 week stay in this hotel, everything about it we totally enjoyed, beautiful Seaview from our balcony (room 2217) .The staff and animation crew are so friendly and work so hard to make sure your stay is perfect. The bar staff are very professional, friendly and extremely efficient with dealing with customers. Such a great selection of wonderful food served, a great variety to suit any taste, I was travelling with a person with mobility issues any all our requests were promptly dealt with and sorted in professional manner, I honestly couldn't fault our stay and definitely will be returning, Thank you to all the management and staff in Hotel Puente Real for a great holiday. Also I'd recommend upgrading to all inclusive gold as it's a great add on to skip ques and dine in a lovely location overlooking the sea (24 hrs drinks all top brands and separate areas to relax as hotel was very busy .

The hotel was built many years age and now needs a full refurbishment or knocked down, looks old and dated next to some wasteland
If your're an English visitor remember this hotel is clearly geared for the French people who definitely take priority.
Having been to many all inclusive hotels this is one of the worst.
The Entertainment team or animation team as they are now known are unbelievably amateur.
We went the second week in September,
the staff looked jaded after a long summer session, smiles fading.
Special mention for Krystal, best member of staff in the hotel. She couldn't do enough for you.
We travelled with Jet2, surprised they use this hotel.
The pool is noisy all the time, you can't relax there, aways 📢 🔊 loud music 🎶 going on.
The quality of the drinks in the hotel are so cheap and cheerful most of the time we were eating and drinking out.
I rarely give 2 stars in a rating but they are lucky to get that.
Steer clear would be my advice.

When we arrived reception were lovely, but directions and information were very vague. Took ages and 2 stops to ask for directions on route. Room was v clean, visited daily by cleaners. Air con on full time, which was def needed. All inclusive here is a bit bland with no vegetarian options. Breakfast was OK but sometimes cold.
Bar and drinks only available from 10am, unless you go to the restaurant. All inclusive finishes at 11pm. But you can buy more after this time.
Entertainment staff are really good. Very energetic and friendly. Speaking multiple languages.
Hotel is a bit far away from the town centre, but taxis or bus are fairly easy to get.

Well just checked into room 2809 today amd I have to say, so far it's been amazing staff, food, and the hotel in general has met our expectations, review from a couple from Ireland 🇮🇪

I didn't stay here, we stayed in our motorhome closeby and visited the hotel for the WiFi. In February it was full of older people. They all seemed very happy. The Wifi was slow but free. Seems a good place for us oldies.
