Breakfast is good. Coffee is good. Hotel staff and front desk staff are very helpfull. The hotel has very bare amenities. No bedroom slippers. No dental kit. No shaving kit. The packed dinner they provided did not have knife and fork. You have to request for new towels for the old ones to be replaced. No intercom in the room for communication with staff. You have to go down to front desk for your requests and queries

Really good view of frozen lake. Good service and best kindly. Room is charming on rustic way. Restaurant is nice with tasty food and experience staff.

I was working in Finland and needed to stay over the weekend in a mediocre town with not much to do, so I decided to jump in the train to Rovaniemi. I picked this hotel as they have some balcony rooms and my sole purpose for coming was to try to catch a view of the northern lights. I didn’t have appropriate clothing for traveling into the wilderness to find a spot free of city light pollution so was really hoping that they would be strong enough to be able to see. Thankfully, I wasn’t disappointed. From my 5th floor balcony, they seemed so close that I could almost touch them. What a magical experience!
With regards to the hotel, it is a little dated but extremely well placed. The food is decent. Great breakfast selection. Family friendly. I had the sauna to myself at 6pm, which was delightful. The staff were so friendly, that makes for a better experience in general.
The room was ok. Comfortable bed. Small mini-bar. TV and a really comfy chair. I spent the first part of my night in the comfy chair watching the sky and waiting for someone to turn on the northern lights. I then alternated between sitting inside looking out, and going outside over the period of 3 hours while the light show was playing. Fantastic experience!!
As for the location, the hotel is a really short walk from a shopping street with lots of restaurants, shops and a mall with a cinema. It’s also walking distance to Arkitum museum and Pilke science center.
All-in-all, this was an exceptional experience and well worth the cost of the room with the balcony.

Lovely hotel, we stayed in the new section of the hotel which was very easy to access from the street as well as the underground connection between the main reception. We really enjoyed it.

2 buildings - we had a room in the new building, connected by a tunnel with the main building. Very clean and bright room, great view - directly at the river. New, comfy beds, big and clean new bathroom.
Breakfast was included - good choice, fresh food, clean huge restaurant with river-view. Very friendly staff everywhere. Lounge and small bar at the reception, also snacks and coffee/tea as well as some stuff for everyday life.
Sauna and 20m long indoor pool (0,95 - 1,8m deep) included.
Bus stop in front of the hotel - Santa's village, airport and railway station directly in reach.
City center with lots of bars and restaurants as well as shops within few minutes of walking.
Highly recommendable place to stay.

I go to Rovaniemi every year for work. First time in this hotel. I got a room in the annex. Apparently refurbished but a long way from reception, including an 80m long poorly lit tunnel. Room was spartan with no desk which was frustrating. No business centre and nowhere to work. I'd specifically asked for a quiet room but got the one by the lifts, probably the noisiest. I knew I'd arrive too late for dinner so tried to order a sandwich to be available when I arrived. That wasn't possible and I was told to buy one from the hotel shop on arrival. They'd run out when I arrived. So I ate at the Amarillo across the street. Probably OK if you're a tourist staying for 2 nights but not if you're travelling for work.

We stayed there for three nights but I would definitely not go back again or recommend it to anyone. Maybe we were unlucky and got the worst room in the hotel. First of all, an the worst was the fact that the kids’ bed was broken. The part where the head rested fell down many times during the nights we stayed there. We informed the reception about it, they sent someone but they did not do anything to it. Next, the electricity went off many times, there were times when the phones did not charge at night because there was no power.
The hotel provides a pool but it is quite impossible to use because the water is extremely cold. We tried to go in but could not resist inside the pool more than a few seconds. Also the furniture is really outdated.
Two positive aspects: there was a large choice of options for breakfast, but the coffee was not good at all, and the view we had was nice.
Unfortunately I can’t add a video of the bad, but as you see in the picture the bar in the middle is not fixed. Not saying anything else about the way the fabric looks.

The size of the room is quite big considering the price. Great choices of food for breakfast too. The heating is excellent.

Bad experience at this hotel, positive only for the location, close to city centre and the river.
The structure is old, both in common parts and rooms. There is not possibility to regulate the room's temperature, critical in winter period considering the artic equipment to be used.
1 day (last one), our room was not cleaned also after our first complain.
Please, let's work to improve the quality of your service and the experience of guests.

Location is good but the hotel is not so good.
Breakfast was good with a nice selection.
Rooms were average but good enough for our 3night stay (except for leaking shower tray that soaked bathroom floor every time we used it.
No facilities in room to make hot drinks so had to pay 2.40euro at reception every time we wanted a hot drink.
Service was terrible our room never got serviced at all for the duration of our stay and the reception/lobby area was not cleaned there was breakfast mess broken up croissants on seats and table at 5pm that had obviously been there since breakfast.
