This is not a bad place. Just not a great place. More like an average ho-hum place.

Here’s the proof. While centrally located, to enter you walk in through what looks like an underground parking garage. Lobby is a very small, crowded, front room.
Powdered coffee with chipped old, ceramic mugs in a crowded, small old room. Not much light. No visible window. Heavy feel. Old furniture. An iron folding chair inside a small closet.
Staff are okay. A nice smile upon hello. After that disinterested.

It’s a perfect place for visiting Lyon. A little bit old fashioned as it’s the old part of Lyon, very charming. Breakfast is really good and the ladies who serve, do their best to meet all your needs.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Everything was great from the rooms, to the staff and the location. We will definitely return in the future

The room was small but worked well for the 2 of us. The receptionist was very helpful. My big issue was the long driveway to the elevator. If i was traveling solo i would feel very unsafe staying here. I would have liked to have to swipe my card to use the elevator or the stairs.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are a bit small though and the lift always stops at reception. However, the staff are very efficient and friendly. Especially the cleaning staff.

The staff at Hotel Alexandra was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in a wonderful area on the Rue Victor Hugo pedestrian street, which is within walking distance to most sites of interest. The breakfast by Arus is excellent! Overall, a delightful stay in a lovely city.

This hôtel is over rated. The reception area is minuscule, the overall layout is complicated with multiple small corridors and more doors than I have ever seen! The cleanliness was ok but it was very dated in the room. I had to cover The bedside table with a towel iPad the wood was chipped. The cushions also do not seem to be changed between customers. The shower was ok but not amazing as the water temperature kept changing on its own (most likely when someone in another room was using hit water). The soap dispenser in the shower contained a good quality soap, but it was almost empty so I couldn’t use it on day 2. I wouldn’t stay there again.

The main advantage of the hotel is its great location, very close to the Arc de Triomphe, making it easy to go anywhere. Turning into a small alley from the main road, there is a small courtyard, which is very quiet. The room is very small, smaller than domestic three-star hotels, and the hotel hardware facilities are relatively old, but the environment is quite clean, and there are not many breakfast varieties, which can fill your stomach. But this is Paris, and there are many better hotels. But expensive
