The hotel is at 33rd floor of a high-rise building and quite close to the train station. There are such nice views from the room, as a chain hotel the amnities are quite good but would have wanted a proper coffee machine

The bed and the linens are confortable and soft

We were hospitably received at the hotel, despite problems with booking a room on our part (booking through an agency). The rooms are spacious and clean with a beautiful view of the city

The highlights: the building itself was stunning with a beautiful view, and as a member, I appreciated the complimentary water, VIP dining benefits, and room upgrade. These touches definitely added to the experience

Magnifique view from the room to overlook the Lyon city. However, the bathroom drainage needs some improvement, otherwise water from shower tends to flow out onto the carpet of room

However, there were several disappointing aspects. On the first day, housekeeping wasn't completed until after 3 PM, which meant I couldn't access my room for quite a while

Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Lyon. From check-in to check-out almost everything was perfect

The rooms albeit a little small were well designed, comfortable and had great AC and rain showers. The pool, sauna, steam room, tea and relaxation room in the basement were perfect after a hot day touring Lyon

3) like many hotels in Europe they didn't have wash cloths in the room (face cloths or serviettes carrés as they call them). What do Europeans wash with? The lobby was elegant and inviting. The Grand Salon was cinematic

The only three things I would improve are: 1) the hotel bar didn't have stools 2) the Nespresso Machines didn't have single serve coffee-mate creamers or at least powder so you had to call down for cold milk for 5€

Very well located and very comfortable hotel. Receptionist Ninno was very helpful with car rental and a day trip to Annecy and Ninno is a very cheerfull person. Everything was perfect.

The transportation is a bit inconvenient, you need to take a taxi to go out, but everything else is OK

Quite a lackluster/unimpressive hotel. I booked a suite and upon check in the hotel told me the suite isn’t available - shows general carelessness in service

The bathroom shower fixtures were loose and unstable and water would leak out of the shower unit whenever taking a shower. You call the front desk and half the time nobody answers

One of the elevators was not working for 2 days and nobody bothered to fix it. The breakfast food was also very basic and the eggs were not even fully cooked properly

Booked a night there for the Light Festival in Lyon. The room was quite large and there was even a small balcony which I believe can be nice to enjoy the view and warm weather in the summer

The temperature of the room could not be adjusted - there was just one universal temperature and if you didn’t like it you had to turn off the air con

The facilities are old but for a European hotel, they are well equipped. Water pressure is also sufficient. The Perrier, juice and snacks in the room fridge are free. Overall, it's well worth the price

The only problem we had was the fact that despite an earlier email and the extra specific on the day of our arrival in advance by telephone that we requested a room with 2 beds, this was not taken into account when we arrived at the hotel and we got a room with one "large" bed

Excellent hotel, nothing to complain about the room or the hygiene. The underground parking with valet service is handy (at a correct price). The staff is very friendly and helpful

The rooms were spacious, the breakfast was excellent, and the service from the staff especially the receptionists, Anna and the other lovely ladies was extraordinary 👍🏼👍🏼

The next day we did get the requested room with 2 beds. For the rest everything was actually perfect!

I think it's a great value for money that you wouldn't find in a Paris hotel

Good hotel with a nice pool area, good restaurant except for the hideous Poke Bowl. Underground park is good and enough spaces. Rooms and shower are excellent quality. Breakfast is amazing and plentyfull

We stayed as an overnight stop - the hotel were very helpful in parking our Campervan (the underground car park is height limited). The pool was busy but pleasant

The hotel was easily accessible from the highway. We were traveling to the south of France. The neighborhood wasn't ideal for walking. The pool was a welcome relief after a 900 km drive.

We would have liked to have eaten in the restaurant but food started at 1900 and our child was tired. And so, we had room service for 1900 (no earlier was available) - but the food was excellent and service very good

The hotel’s location is next to a tram stop, just few stops from the hearth of Lyon, so perfect for exploring the city. Breakfast was delightful with a wide variety of options to please everyone

Parking was like a little maze but was well marked and felt very secure. It was the ideal stopover and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lyon!

Amazing hotel with magnificent pools and spa. The staff was very friendly. One of the best hotels of Lyon.

good hotel, main pluses are the huge 50m outdoor pool and the gym/fitness facilities. Didn’t eat dinner at hotel so can’t comment on that. Rooms were clean and nice but only ok. Corridors were run down and smelt bad

From the moment I arrived all the team I encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. I really appreciated how calm and proactive they were— nothing ever felt like an inconvenience

What truly sets this hotel apart is the amazing spa with diverse facilities, and the huge outdoor pool, which is a real luxury in the center of Lyon, especially in summer when there are few alternatives in the city

The welcome is always warm and professional. The rooms are very nice — not ultra-luxurious, but definitely comfortable and pleasant

Mercure is a great hotel with excellent staff. They are friendly and professional. Parking fee of EU28/day is a high but reasonable. Slight downside is construction noise opposite during July 2024

Nice hotel room, staff friendly, and place was clean. The air-conditioning could have gotten colder but that's just France. They also could invest in exhaust fan for the bathroom.

The park the la tete d'or is within walking distance and offers some nice activities - in particular when travelling with small kids

Receptionist tried out his English, which was nice, but it needs a little work. But full marks for trying (I don't expect people in France to speak English. ) I had a very pleasant 6th floor room overlooking the river

We had a very good rest, likely and largely due to the very positive aura of the whole place (I imagine how decades and even centuries of prayers that took place here from the time it was a monastery/nunnery has brought about the serenity and blessing you could feel palpable in the air ☺️)

Not enough words can fully describe this modernly-refurbished fairy-tale hotel, its surrounding and location, also the lovely breakfast offering in a wonderful setting - a great albeit too short stay for our one night stop in Lyon

The hotel itself is located in a fabulous setting and very close to the Basilica, Roman Ampitheatre and Furniculure into the city centre. Rooms are immaculate and cool. We didn’t eat a meal here as we felt it was

One person can be dressing, another using the bathroom, and another in the bedroom, and each would be private. Beautiful window overlooking the street. The area is horrible at night, seedy, dangerous

I booked this hotel because of the parking, and it was full. The hotel recommended a very expensive parking lot with no guest fee, 5 minutes away, but the area is ugly at night

As for the living experience, the rooms have French balconies, excellent ventilation and light, and being a converted castle, the rooms have high ceilings and are very comfortable, giving them a sense of "aristocratic" living

I loved that the bathroom is a separate room and has a door between the bedroom and the bathroom, which makes it very private

Very helpful, polite and smiling staff. The mattress and pillows are more than perfect. Very close (2 min) from a tram station and a big train/bus/metro station (5 min). 15-20 minutes walking to the main sights

Nice hotel. It's not a new hotel, but it's all very tidy. Good staff. Breakfast is delicious. The location is convenient with a supermarket nearby. At my husband's request, the room was decorated for my birthday.

Me and my family was there for the second time and we was again impressive from the service from there rooms and from the breakfast the Employees are very kind. From my side a highly recommend

The staff were amazing especially Valerie on reception, she was very helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect for trains, trams to go and explore the city. Breakfast was excellent and again staff very friendly

The only small suggestion would be to have a slightly larger toilet with a washbasin inside. If we come back to Lyon, we will definitely stay here again!

We stayed at this hotel for only two nights, we were greeted by the NICEST & KINDEST receptionist Marwane. Also, the hotel lends you umbrellas when it’s raining outside which is so cute

We very much enjoyed staying at the Grand Hotel Des Terreaux in Lyon. From its convenient location to the spacious rooms, excellent breakfast and great service, our stay was pleasant and comfortable.

This quint little hotel is in the middle of the city where most of the attractions and many restaurants are of walking distance. Our hotel room is one of the bigger size rooms to accommodate our child

Good clean hotel, friendly helpful staff. Decent breakfast catered well for gluten free. 2 minute walk from the train station made it an ideal place to stay whilst passing through France to Italy.

The amenities were Clarins products, there was a separate toilet, very large room, the reception was offering coffee, herbal water and coated almonds 😍 the staff were very professional and helpful! Adjacent to the train station too

The view from the room was very beautiful. We booked two different room types, one with a red theme and one with a blue theme. They were both gorgeous. The bathroom was large and the breakfast was delicious.
