Great place with comfortable rooms and amazing pools. Was the perfect stop over on the way to the South of France. It’s made clear that if you don’t book the spa access the pools are not included so there should be no surprises on that.

I liked the hotel and the staff were nice. I just could never understand how a hotel's pool needs extra payment. Location is ok as it is close to a bus stop, however, pretty far from the centre. Rooms were neat and clean.

Really intriguing place to stay in for a weekend. Lots of small restaurants around and intact architecture to explore. I'm really impressed with the social atmosphere in Lyon. During the evening time the smell of amazing scents coming out from nearby boutiques, confectionery shops will make you feel relaxed and amazed. Worth coming over ?.

This is a quaint little hotel. We loved our room and loved all the attention and service. Dinner there was a treat. The whole experience was out of this world and when we return to Lyon, we will be staying at Cour des Loges. I'm just sorry that I did not get the chance to use their spa and exercise room. Both me and my wife can't wait to return to Lyon and stay at this marvelous place.

We enjoyed four beautiful nights in this elegant, beautiful hotel. The rooms are gorgeous and well appointed, particularly the bathrooms. Service was personal, friendly, nothing was ever a problem. The views of the old town are fantastic, but be prepared for the walk, Uber or scooter ride up and down the hill each day if you’re planning to stay here to explore Lyon over several days.

For the price, this hotel is fantastic. Everyone who works there is really helpful, and everyone speaks English, which is a huge plus for me. My only issue was the air conditioning, or serious lack of it. The week we were in Lyon it was routinely 80-90 degrees F out and the air conditioning in the room didn’t seem to even make a dent in the heat. If there had been AC I would give this place 5 stars...

The hotel room was a good size, everything worked and it was very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and staff were extremely helpful. It was about a 10minute walk to Vieux lyon which suited us fine to be away from the crowds. We alos appreciated the welcome drink.

The Hotel staff was very kind and helpful with bags, restaurant recommendations, a taxi service to the countryside. The room was clean, bright and comfortable. The Hotel Carlton Lyon was a perfect conclusion to a 10-day travel adventure in France and Switzerland. The advanced online check-in and my room being ready early, allowed me to settle in for a restful night before our flight home. The comfortable room and delicious breakfast was much appreciated.

Perfect location for visiting Lyon! We stayed here just one night but loved how centrally located it was. The staff were all very nice and helpful, and the valet parking was a great service to have as well when parking in a city. We would definitely stay here again when returning to Lyon!

Our stay in the hotel was great. It is very close to the train station and public transport. The rooms were nice and clean, the breakfast was excellent and the staff are extremely nice and friendly.

Very very comfy beds, very friendly staff! Everything felt clean and good quality. Breakfast was a bit chaotic, room was packed and felt understaffed, a lot of stuff just wasn't getting replenished for longer period of time. That being said, everything was tasty! Would book again!

Lovely hotel is a central location. There is a main metro & train station less than a few min walk away and a team stop outside the hotel. The staff were very helpful and the rooms are modern and very comfortable. I really liked the outdoor space in the courtyard, nice to sit and relax and have a coffee or a drink

We were able to drive the hire car past the hotel to drop our luggage before dropping the hire car back at Part Dieu. The hotel room we chose (circular junior suite) was spectacular, with a big balcony and great view of Place de Bellacour The breakfast was lovely as were the staff.

Booked a night there for the Light Festival in Lyon. Wasn’t disappointed at all. I only had a business dinner at ZUCCA Restaurant of Marriott Hotel Cité International, but it was an outstanding experience. The dinner was exquisite, perfectly paired with excellent wine, and the dessert was both delicate and delicious. The waiters were exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive. Highly recommended!

The staff here is wonderful and I really wanted to like this hotel…. Unfortunately this hotel desperately needs a renovation…..which is scheduled for next year. Rooms dated and in poor condition. The check in staff were top tier, amazing. The location is right beside a bus line with easy access to the train and city center. The hotel needs an update. This is my favorite hotel in Lyon. Clean, modern, no hassles, and the breakfast buffet is perfect! Just across the street from the most amazing park.in France on one side, and a beautiful river with walking/biking path on the other side.

We often go to this hotel when we visit Lyon. It’s a small but cozy place, with a great lounge downstairs that is empty most of the time. the location is great and there’s parking spaces nearby. Love the view of the river, the unique feel of the bed sheets and the pillows. It’s clean and comfortable. I’d definitely recommend this place

Good hôtel near the train station for a low price. Do not expect a 4* hotel, but regarding price/quality they do deliver. They are quick to confirm reservation despite late arrival and the departure process is lightning fast. Room is decent and clean, and as long as you bring earplugs like for any hotel like this you will have a good night sleep.

Spent 7 nights here, fantastisch location close to shopping street, Maine square of New Lyon and alsof close enough to walk to old Lyon. Breakfast was plenty but every morning the same. The Hotel is stunning but, be aware there are 235 steps to get down to the old town. Both my husband and I had serious back surgeries last year and this was a real issue for us. The staff were very helpful. We had a drink in the bar and could have bought 3 bottles of wine in a local shop for the price of one glass of wine.

Stayed two nights. The room was very quiet, the view from the room was great giving a look over the city. The employees where very happy to help and jump in anytime we needed anything. The staff was so friendly (and fluent in English!) and the room was clean and cozy. It was a wonderful jumping off point for my days' adventures around the city. I immediately fell in love with the neighbourhood and was close enough to walk everywhere. The area felt safe enough to walk home from dinner after dark.

The internet is very complicated, we had to re-verify our email addresses every time we entered the hotel to be able to reconnect. On the iPhone we had to 'forget' the network first to be able to reconnect. We travel a lot and never encountered such a bad connection experience. Once connected the internet was fine.

Perfect central location and very nice hotel. I really like my room, they gave me a double bed (even though I was alone) and the balcony, which I really appreciated since I was at the last floor (amazing view). The bathroom was quite big as well.

Lovely location, no doubt. Service was a mixed bag. The receptionist at check in definitely needs training and absolutely condescending attitude. So was a bad start to an otherwise ok experience. Food at restaurant was ok. The rooms are old but has a charm

The room door blocked no sound and i was next to the laundry room and staircase, meaning late nights and early mornings for me. I was on the lowesr floor meaning every flush in the night came through my room. Other than the noise, i couldn't fault it. Id willingly come back

Located perfectly, close to the old town. Very friendly welcome and clean rooms. Just the breakfast was not overwhelming - I will never understand why you force people to use the one (!) coffee machine they have at the buffet, while they have an actual industry-grade coffeemachine a few meters away and refuse to serve from that one (in a 4-star-hotel).

Perfectly located if you want a stunning view of Lyon, to see the Park with zoo and greenhouses, explore the centre by foot, as well as see the basilica on the hill and the Roman ruins at LUGDUNUM

You have a magnificant view from the room. It is very convient since it is so close to the downtown. I found the room spacial. You can get free baby bed.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel de Paris in early August and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is in a trendy and convenient area, just a short walk from coffee shops, restaurants, the metro, and shopping. The rooms are ok but VERY noisy. We've only slept for 3 hours because we could literally hear our neighbour's telephone call and the chairs of our upstairs neighbours at 6am. We only got a small and a large towel for two adults. No extra towel to dry your hands, so I ended up using my small towel for both my hands and to dry myself off after showering. Almost every time I visit the charming city of Lyon France I try to stay at Hotel de Paris. The location is perfect for discovering the vivid gastronomy and culture of Lyon and the hotel itself I find to be without reproach. The staff is friendly and everyone speaks English very well.
