Lyon Marriott Hotel Cite Internationale, Lyon1 / 50

Lyon, 70 Quai Charles de Gaulle 🧭 Map
Booked a night there for the Light Festival in Lyon. Wasn’t disappointed at all. The room was quite large and there was even a small balcony which I believe can be nice to enjoy the view and warm weather in the summer. The TV in the room had lots of local and international channel to watch, however we couldn’t manage to link our Netflix account to the TV. It appears that the TV wasn’t connected to...
I only had a business dinner at ZUCCA Restaurant of Marriott Hotel Cité International, but it was an outstanding experience. The dinner was exquisite, perfectly paired with excellent wine, and the dessert was both delicate and delicious. The waiters were exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive. Highly recommended!
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room/ bathroom is big enough but the cleaning could have been a whole lot better unfortunately. It's not giving the 4-star vibes you're paying for. Last night there were incredibly noisy party people next to us and a lot of guests had complained apparently. We were told at the reception that they were aware of the noise and they said sorry for the inconvenience...
The staff here is wonderful and I really wanted to like this hotel…. Unfortunately this hotel desperately needs a renovation…..which is scheduled for next year. Rooms dated and in poor condition. Despite Lyon being the gastronomy capital of the world, the food and bar offerings here will disappoint. Looking forward to seeing their improvement in the future.
The check in staff were top tier, amazing. The location is right beside a bus line with easy access to the train and city center. The hotel needs an update. Peeling paint on the ceiling, rusty looking shower floors, walls peeling out badly patched, in general needing a refresh. We were there for the Olympics and a few of the soccer teams were there so at times there was no access to parts of the hotel...
This is my favorite hotel in Lyon. Clean, modern, no hassles, and the breakfast buffet is perfect! Just across the street from the most amazing park.in France on one side, and a beautiful river with walking/biking path on the other side.

We did enjoy our stay here. Mainly because it was a heatwave in Lyon and spending two nights here beats being in our hot apartment with no AC. Though they could do with some improvements. Positives: Rooms were cool but not cold and very spacious. My toddler loved the pool and they had a baby pool area. I always love a gym so that was a plus There was free babysitting service. Negatives: Not much...
Great place with comfortable rooms and amazing pools. Was the perfect stop over on the way to the South of France. It’s made clear that if you don’t book the spa access the pools are not included so there should be no surprises on that.
Biggest City SPA in Europe. It has an Olympic sized outdoor pool. Food is very good. Breakfast is great. Balconies are humongous. Very good rooms and bathrooms. WiFi is not working in the rooms only downstairs I don’t know why. There is a nice hairdresser inside the hotel. If you have children there is a very good kids club in the SPA areas. You can also play squash and table tennis there. We had an...
I liked the hotel and the staff were nice. I just could never understand how a hotel's pool needs extra payment. Location is ok as it is close to a bus stop, however, pretty far from the centre. Rooms were neat and clean.

Our stay was just WOW! The beautiful design and luxurious rooms were surprisingly spacious compared to the other hotels we had stayed at in Lyon. Arts Hotels Lyon doesn’t fail to disappoint. Our room was really comfortable and very romantic, ideal for our wedding anniversary. Lyon, 55 Quai Rambaud 🧭 Map
For its value it is excellent, the food was generally good, room was very basic but had what you need, staff was kind and the hotel had a very modern feel.
The hotel is really hip and nicely decorated. The restaurant Karlito was heaven sent! A great Italian. When we entered the hotel thought the restaurant, we decided to cancel our reservation in the center and eat there. And was the right choice. Finally we got some good charcuterie board and good wine ( believe it or not we had a hard time to find them in Lyon during the Christmas exceptional time)...
Small, but cozy rooms. Nice atmosphere, friendly people. The toilet in the room is not sound-or odorproof, so it‘s good every room has a small balcony.
With a strike taking place for Iberia, my travel plans were delayed and I lost most of y reservations. So instead of staying Vieux Lyon (old town) the only available decent hotel was MOB in the more modern Confluence area. This hotel is good for crashing and I noticed some work groups utilizing the spaces downstairs. It's modern and has what you need but it's small and confined and far from the best...

centric hotel with a good decoration. staff is great. special thanks to Sandy, she is very helpful oısitive and professional
Nice a very well located hotel, the building has 3 different options of IBIS, we stayed at the Budget one and despite the bedroom is not huge it is comfy. The breakfast is good and all clean. Very Good option to stay with your family.
So clean ! I was very impressed and friendly bar service. Great location as well. We had some issues with the key card not working and had a hard time leaving the parking because the code didn't work. But other than that it was lovely.
It's an ibis hotel Beds comfortable (very),rooms small(quite)but clean, bathrooms functional. Stayed for just one night, just myself, with a very small suitcase(hand luggage):if your luggage is any bigger you will not fit in the room.... I have doughts that a couple+luggage can fit in the room, given its size.
Clean. Very helpful staff. Convenient location near train station and metro. My only criticism is that the bed, though very comfortable, is too big and limits room space.
Convenient location to the gare and on-site restaurant was good too. Could use some minor refresh but was good place to stay on a budget and close to the train station. Would do it again.

We recently spent 3 nights here on our visit to Lyon. The check in experience was very good. The person working the front desk at the time was very friendly and helpful. Even walked us to show us the section of the hotel our room would be located. The room was very nice. We had a balcony with views of the courtyard. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom shower was nice. The only downside was the toilet...
The central location, the cleanliness of the rooms, the hospitality were great. The breakfast was very rich and wonderful. Not having a minibar in the room was a problem in winter, but it could be in summer. Thanks for everything
Our stay in the hotel was great. It is very close to the train station and public transport. The rooms were nice and clean, the breakfast was excellent and the staff are extremely nice and friendly.
Very very comfy beds, very friendly staff! Everything felt clean and good quality. Breakfast was a bit chaotic, room was packed and felt understaffed, a lot of stuff just wasn't getting replenished for longer period of time. That being said, everything was tasty! Would book again!
Lovely hotel is a central location. There is a main metro & train station less than a few min walk away and a team stop outside the hotel. The staff were very helpful and the rooms are modern and very comfortable. I really liked the outdoor space in the courtyard, nice to sit and relax and have a coffee or a drink
Nice hotel, conveniently located close to a metro station. Clean, pleasant and helpful staff. Rooms are slightly small.

The hotel is nice and clean, pretty close to the centre of Lyon. It's about 15/20 minutes walking and there is a metro really close. We would say that this hotel is good for short stays. We stayed one night and everything was good! Bathroom was clean, bed was good and close to the centre. The only difficulty we had was that we could not find the exit and the entrance of the parking garage. But when...
A good hotel. I got value for money paid. My room was decent and big enough, staff polite and helpful. The position is very good as it's very close to Garibaldi underground station and within walking distance from the centre. If I will visit Lyon again I will book this Hotel.
Very basic hotel with only the bare minimum of facilities. Rooms have good beds but for instance coffee/hot water machine and fridge are missing. Breakfast has limited choice of products due to covid measures. Good access to public transport and 24/7 supermarket accross the street.
The place is nice, clean and well organized. The position is good, thanks to the presence of a Metro station just a minute walk far away from the hotel.
Very kind and proactive people to solve any problem. Air conditioning was not running in our room and we were changed in 10 minutes to other room. Hotel well connect with public transport (very useful to visit all city).

This place was super quirky but had a lot of good things going for it. The location is right in the center of the old city with a ton of classic Lyonnais restaurants in every direction, as well as plenty of patisseries, gift shops, and the marionettes museums. The building itself is VERY Lyon, with the classic stacked staircases look you'll see throughout the old city and its traboules. But the rooms...
Beautiful building. Gorgeous rooms, if not a little dark. Lovely indoor pool, but only really big enough for one person, or a couple to swim.
Beautiful building, very unique and sexy rooms (albeit some may think they're slightly claustrophobic and in need of refreshing), great service, and the best location. Really, the location simply can't be beat. The downside is that many of the rooms badly need renovation, especially since some don't have a shower (!!!) and the spa could use some renovation as well. I was told that Raddison is going...
Really intriguing place to stay in for a weekend. Lots of small restaurants around and intact architecture to explore. I'm really impressed with the social atmosphere in Lyon. During the evening time the smell of amazing scents coming out from nearby boutiques, confectionery shops will make you feel relaxed and amazed. Worth coming over ?.
This is a quaint little hotel. We loved our room and loved all the attention and service. Dinner there was a treat. The whole experience was out of this world and when we return to Lyon, we will be staying at Cour des Loges. I'm just sorry that I did not get the chance to use their spa and exercise room. Both me and my wife can't wait to return to Lyon and stay at this marvelous place.

Very central location with great public transport connectivity. Airport tram is a minute away too. There is a huge mall 5 minutes from the hotel so if you want shopping it is very convenient. It is right next to the gare but there are two tiers of windows so no sound gets into the room. Good value for money. Would definitely stay again on my next visit.
Second time going, 2 years apart. Still a great experience. Excellent location (right in front of airport shuttle, next to Part-Dieu train station). Excellent city views if you're high up. Only downside this time around: the shower needs to be fixed, as both showerheads were operating at once (one wouldn't stop dripping overhead, which was rather unpleasant). Considering I was in a 9th floor suite...
We were driving from Germany to Spain, and this was a great mid point. The hotel has a great location, near a train and tram station. Good restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel is clean and spacious. It has a good bar at the reception area.
Although it was a short stay, I was pleased with the comfortable, spacious room assigned. I was also given instructions to use the bus system and a map of where to visit Lyon. The breakfast was OK, as well. Also appreciated the filtered water fountain near reception. Glad I chose Mercure vs. other options nearby.
Sad that maintenance is falling down as this is a good location for an overnight at the train station. There is a lot of mold in the shower. The headboard of the bed needs replacement. Because the company has decided to control the temperature limit of the rooms they need to provide light weight bedding instead of the heavy duvets. A fan would be nice too. The fan in the ac unit was noisy in our room...
The hotel is FANTASTIC if you are coming to Lyon. Everyone is super helpful and friendly especially Gloria! I am a 70 year old person who was traveling by herself and I felt very safe and well taken care of. Highly recommend!

Very good hotel (stayed 6/7 times). Good breakfast. Clean room. Welcome. I recommend closing your eyes (having slept in other highly rated hotels in Lyon).
The hotel is located very far from the station, the staff is friendly and helpful and they try their best to help you. I can only recommend, I will add one small minus, the room I occupied (single for one person) was small but good enough to spend only nights. Good luck to the entire hotel team during their difficult times. If I have to return to Lyon, I will not hesitate to return. Thank you
Small rooms with poor acoustics insulation. Best thing is the fact that rooms are inside a courtyard, which minimises street noises.
It's not 4 star as stated , I have stayed in better hotels with great rooms. And not costly as this and rated as 4 stars.

Wonderful service and the most comfortable of rooms. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, professional and helpful.
This hotel is very well located in the city center. There's an excellent grocery store directly across the street which was helpful for buying water, wine, and some snacks to keep in our room. We stayed in Room 204 and it was at the end of the hall, away from the elevator. Even though it was street-facing, it was very quiet and we had a mini fridge which was great. The best hotel in my month long trip. The spacious room actually looks better than the photos on the website. Hôtel Mercure Lyon Centre Beaux-Arts is in a prime location for all the best of Lyon has to offer. We were greeted warmly and provided the best service our entire stay. Room was very comfortable and a great view of the city. The breakfast they provided was also so impressive and I already miss it! Thank you we will be back!
The room is lovely and spacious. Best is the location, right in t he middle of the city, making it really walkable. Lots of eateries and shopping around the hotel. Unfortunately, I was not given the free upgrade; nonetheless, the room I had in the corner was really nice.

You know what you are getting into for the price. The staff we dealt with were all very friendly and helpful. The inclusive breakfast that we had for our stay was fine for the price, a good assortment of options. Accommodations are everything one expects from a hotel, check-in was quick and efficient and the room was comfortable enough with most common appliances. It's located near the train station, so it's ideal when in transit. There few bar/restaurant options nearby, unless you're going for a quick bite or are willing to take the bus/tram to the center.
We were greeted with warm receptionists. Our rooms were ready on time. The rates were very reasonable. The rooms are on the small side but cleanliness is a huge factor. Air conditioning was a plus. We slept 10 hours here.

Great: Staff, view, wellness area. Room is rather small for the price. You should be in decent shape as the hill is quite steep or you’ll have to Uber every time you want to go out.
Very nice hotel design, great staff. Bartender knew what he was doing, and was game for something interesting (eg. Tequila Old Fashioned). For the price, this hotel is fantastic. Everyone who works there is really helpful, and everyone speaks English, which is a huge plus for me. My only issue was the air conditioning, or serious lack of it. The hotel room was a good size, everything worked and it was very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and staff were extremely helpful. It was about a 10minute walk to Vieux lyon which suited us fine to be away from the crowds. We alos appreciated the welcome drink.
Everyone was amazing. The front desk was super helpful. They made dinner reservations for us, checked us in quickly and friendly. Cleaners and breakfast service also amazing. Door man super helpful too. Great stay!
The Hotel staff was very kind and helpful with bags, restaurant recommendations, a taxi service to the countryside. The room was clean, bright and comfortable. The hotel bar staff was very nice even after I forgot to pay my bill on the way out. I was really impressed with the hotel as a whole. Highly recommend!

Our room had a shower over the bath which you couldn’t get under rendering it useless as a shower. Also there was no ‘rubber’ strip under the shower screen so the floor got soaked. The garage was unavailable so had to park in road. It was ok and saved €50!
