We recently spent 3 nights here on our visit to Lyon. The check in experience was very good. The person working the front desk at the time was very friendly and helpful. Even walked us to show us the section of the hotel our room would be located. The room was very nice. We had a balcony with views of the courtyard. The bed was comfortable. The central location, the cleanliness of the rooms, the hospitality were great. The breakfast was very rich and wonderful. Not having a minibar in the room was a problem in winter, but it could be in summer. Thanks for everything

Our stay in the hotel was great. It is very close to the train station and public transport. The rooms were nice and clean, the breakfast was excellent and the staff are extremely nice and friendly.

Very very comfy beds, very friendly staff! Everything felt clean and good quality. Breakfast was a bit chaotic, room was packed and felt understaffed, a lot of stuff just wasn't getting replenished for longer period of time. That being said, everything was tasty! Would book again!

Lovely hotel is a central location. There is a main metro & train station less than a few min walk away and a team stop outside the hotel. The staff were very helpful and the rooms are modern and very comfortable. I really liked the outdoor space in the courtyard, nice to sit and relax and have a coffee or a drink

Great hotel, alot of construction in the area and hard to get to it. We arrived 8:30 pm and no where in this area to find dinner as everything closes early. Had to settle for a boring sandwich at the front desk. But the rooms were nice, breakfast was decent.

Very good hotel. Freshly refurbished room, nice view on the city. The bar serves good cocktails (bit of a waiting time). Parking of the hotel was full… that shouldn’t happen, I had to park a bit far in the street. Overall nice hotel and friendly staff.

Nice room, well decorated, very clean. Magnificent view from the room. The only negative point is the entrance of the building. The road / sidewalk to enter into the hotel is quite dirty. Certainly doesn't deserve to be the entering road for a four star hotel !

View and room are great. Parking is really difficult to find. No signs at all, while the road is closed. In the end you need to go on the bus/taxi lane (while officially not allowed). Therefore not 5stars

I only had a business dinner at ZUCCA Restaurant of Marriott Hotel Cité International, but it was an outstanding experience. The dinner was exquisite, perfectly paired with excellent wine, and the dessert was both delicate and delicious. The waiters were exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive. Highly recommended!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room/ bathroom is big enough but the cleaning could have been a whole lot better unfortunately. It's not giving the 4-star vibes you're paying for. Last night there were incredibly noisy party people next to us and a lot of guests had complained apparently. The staff here is wonderful and I really wanted to like this hotel…. Unfortunately this hotel desperately needs a renovation…..which is scheduled for next year. Rooms dated and in poor condition. Despite Lyon being the gastronomy capital of the world, the food and bar offerings here will disappoint. Looking forward to seeing their improvement in the future.

The check in staff were top tier, amazing. The location is right beside a bus line with easy access to the train and city center. The hotel needs an update. Peeling paint on the ceiling, rusty looking shower floors, walls peeling out badly patched, in general needing a refresh. This is my favorite hotel in Lyon. Clean, modern, no hassles, and the breakfast buffet is perfect! Just across the street from the most amazing park.in France on one side, and a beautiful river with walking/biking path on the other side.

Great walkability and location. Rooms are standard, definitely nothing fancy. Biggest problem is the shower floods out the floor of the entire bathroom so that there’s standing water around the toilet. Told the front desk staff, and they said “it’s just the design”

Great location. We came for a art Biennale. It was very easy to move around and many of tourist attraction are walking distance. The rooms where simple/minimal design, clean and practical. We often go to this hotel when we visit Lyon. It’s a small but cozy place, with a great lounge downstairs that is empty most of the time. the location is great and there’s parking spaces nearby. Love the view of the river, the unique feel of the bed sheets and the pillows. It’s clean and comfortable. I’d definitely recommend this place

Spent 7 nights here, fantastisch location close to shopping street, Maine square of New Lyon and alsof close enough to walk to old Lyon. Breakfast was plenty but every morning the same. Great place with comfortable rooms and amazing pools. Was the perfect stop over on the way to the South of France. It’s made clear that if you don’t book the spa access the pools are not included so there should be no surprises on that.

I liked the hotel and the staff were nice. I just could never understand how a hotel's pool needs extra payment. Location is ok as it is close to a bus stop, however, pretty far from the centre. Rooms were neat and clean.

Good hotel with a nice pool area, good restaurant except for the hideous Poke Bowl. Underground park is good and enough spaces. Rooms and shower are excellent quality. The room door blocked no sound and i was next to the laundry room and staircase, meaning late nights and early mornings for me. I was on the lowesr floor meaning every flush in the night came through my room. Other than the noise, i couldn't fault it. Id willingly come back

Located perfectly, close to the old town. Very friendly welcome and clean rooms. Just the breakfast was not overwhelming - I will never understand why you force people to use the one (!) coffee machine they have at the buffet, while they have an actual industry-grade coffeemachine a few meters away and refuse to serve from that one (in a 4-star-hotel).

Nice hotel room, staff friendly, and place was clean. The air-conditioning could have gotten colder but that's just France. They also could invest in exhaust fan for the bathroom.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Staff is very helpful, relax and super friendly. The hotel restaurant offers delicious food at great price value. The park the la tete d'or is within walking distance and offers some nice activities - in particular when travelling with small kids.

The hotel is located next to park area and with direct bus access to the city centre. There is a play area in the ground floor for kids, and gym available in the hotel. A star was taken as air conditioning was not functioning properly.

Charming as the classic inner city European hotel can be, but modern and with a high standard. A step out the door and you're in the city center but also on top of a metro-stop. Service- minded and friendly staff, and patient when I try my long lost French lessons from high-shool! Best of all, my wife was truly satisfied with our stay and with me booking this hotel :-)

A high room rate for what was a small, tired room with poor sound insulation. While the location was great I’m struggling to understand how this hotel has been awarded four stars. Breakfast was also oversold. If you do choose to stay, I’d recommend eating out in the morning. Overall, a very uninspiring stay.

Central location, easy public transport metro or bus. Breakfast was delicious and variety begins 6:30-10. Elevator easy access, it always stops at reception desk first. Bed and room elegant, comfortable and simple. Bathroom was a bit odd our shower was not enclosed and water can spray. There was a small issue with the faucet and management responded/fixed quickly. My favourite hotel in Lyon for my business trips there; although it's not always within the cost ceiling of our corporate travel policy. The only drawback is that the baths/showers are on the small side. The thing I like most is that the rooms are elegantly French & not identikit international.

Stayed in a deluxe suite which was huge and included many amenities that I hadn't expected for the price I paid. Hotels has lots of parking nearby and is a close walk to an excellent park in Lyon. This stay was well worth it, I would recommend staying at the Warwick Reine Astrid in Lyon.

Very central location with great public transport connectivity. Airport tram is a minute away too. There is a huge mall 5 minutes from the hotel so if you want shopping it is very convenient. It is right next to the gare but there are two tiers of windows so no sound gets into the room. Good value for money. Would definitely stay again on my next visit.

Sad that maintenance is falling down as this is a good location for an overnight at the train station. There is a lot of mold in the shower. The headboard of the bed needs replacement. Because the company has decided to control the temperature limit of the rooms they need to provide light weight bedding instead of the heavy duvets. A fan would be nice too. Hôtel Mercure Lyon Centre Beaux-Arts is in a prime location for all the best of Lyon has to offer. We were greeted warmly and provided the best service our entire stay. Room was very comfortable and a great view of the city. The breakfast they provided was also so impressive and I already miss it! Thank you we will be back!

The room is lovely and spacious. Best is the location, right in t he middle of the city, making it really walkable. Lots of eateries and shopping around the hotel. Unfortunately, I was not given the free upgrade; nonetheless, the room I had in the corner was really nice.

Staff were super friendly, helpful and spoke good English. Rooms were clean although bathroom was quite small. Nice and warm in the cold weather. Express breakfast was reasonable value for money, being much cheaper than the buffet breakfast.

For the price, this hotel is fantastic. Everyone who works there is really helpful, and everyone speaks English, which is a huge plus for me. My only issue was the air conditioning, or serious lack of it. The week we were in Lyon it was routinely 80-90 degrees F out and the air conditioning in the room didn’t seem to even make a dent in the heat. If there had been AC I would give this place 5 stars...

The hotel room was a good size, everything worked and it was very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and staff were extremely helpful. It was about a 10minute walk to Vieux lyon which suited us fine to be away from the crowds. We alos appreciated the welcome drink.

The Hotel Carlton Lyon was a perfect conclusion to a 10-day travel adventure in France and Switzerland. The advanced online check-in and my room being ready early, allowed me to settle in for a restful night before our flight home. The comfortable room and delicious breakfast was much appreciated.

Perfect location for visiting Lyon! We stayed here just one night but loved how centrally located it was. The staff were all very nice and helpful, and the valet parking was a great service to have as well when parking in a city. We would definitely stay here again when returning to Lyon!
