This place was super quirky but had a lot of good things going for it. The location is right in the center of the old city with a ton of classic Lyonnais restaurants in every direction, as well as plenty of patisseries, gift shops, and the marionettes museums. Really intriguing place to stay in for a weekend. Lots of small restaurants around and intact architecture to explore. I'm really impressed with the social atmosphere in Lyon. During the evening time the smell of amazing scents coming out from nearby boutiques, confectionery shops will make you feel relaxed and amazed. Worth coming over ?.

This is a quaint little hotel. We loved our room and loved all the attention and service. Dinner there was a treat. The whole experience was out of this world and when we return to Lyon, we will be staying at Cour des Loges. I'm just sorry that I did not get the chance to use their spa and exercise room. Both me and my wife can't wait to return to Lyon and stay at this marvelous place.

We enjoyed four beautiful nights in this elegant, beautiful hotel. The rooms are gorgeous and well appointed, particularly the bathrooms. Service was personal, friendly, nothing was ever a problem. The views of the old town are fantastic, but be prepared for the walk, Uber or scooter ride up and down the hill each day if you’re planning to stay here to explore Lyon over several days.

we were able to get into our room a little bit earlier than the check-in of 4 PM which was much appreciated. Our room had a spectacular view of the Rhone. Really recommend this hotel. Perfect location in Lyon, Valet parking (€30/night). Lovely lobby and entrance, meeting 5 star expectations. Very friendly, capable and professional staff too! Location of this hotel is not bad. Parking also exists and they have own places. The room is also fine and a team is friendly. For me always important that a mattress is comfortable, otherwise i cannot sleep and here the mattress was good.

Very dated room with many issues including: * Bathroom tiles broken, loose, with gaps/missing grouting or mould in the grouting. * All the furniture was scuffed and chipped. * Massive stain on the carpet in the room. * Peeling paint throughout. * Enamel peeling on the bath. I had a wonderful experience! The hotel is truly perfectly located with the best view. The staff was very kind and helpful. The restaurant was truly the best place in Lyon to eat. I just wish the Air Conditioner was turned on.

The Hotel is stunning but, be aware there are 235 steps to get down to the old town. Both my husband and I had serious back surgeries last year and this was a real issue for us. The staff were very helpful. We had a drink in the bar and could have bought 3 bottles of wine in a local shop for the price of one glass of wine.

Stayed two nights. The room was very quiet, the view from the room was great giving a look over the city. The employees where very happy to help and jump in anytime we needed anything. I only had a business dinner at ZUCCA Restaurant of Marriott Hotel Cité International, but it was an outstanding experience. The dinner was exquisite, perfectly paired with excellent wine, and the dessert was both delicate and delicious. The waiters were exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive. Highly recommended!

This is my favorite hotel in Lyon. Clean, modern, no hassles, and the breakfast buffet is perfect! Just across the street from the most amazing park.in France on one side, and a beautiful river with walking/biking path on the other side.

Great place with comfortable rooms and amazing pools. Was the perfect stop over on the way to the South of France. It’s made clear that if you don’t book the spa access the pools are not included so there should be no surprises on that.

I liked the hotel and the staff were nice. I just could never understand how a hotel's pool needs extra payment. Location is ok as it is close to a bus stop, however, pretty far from the centre. Rooms were neat and clean.

Lovely hotel is a central location. There is a main metro & train station less than a few min walk away and a team stop outside the hotel. Very central location with great public transport connectivity. Airport tram is a minute away too. There is a huge mall 5 minutes from the hotel so if you want shopping it is very convenient. It is right next to the gare but there are two tiers of windows so no sound gets into the room. Good value for money. Would definitely stay again on my next visit.

Although it was a short stay, I was pleased with the comfortable, spacious room assigned. I was also given instructions to use the bus system and a map of where to visit Lyon. Sad that maintenance is falling down as this is a good location for an overnight at the train station. There is a lot of mold in the shower. The headboard of the bed needs replacement. Because the company has decided to control the temperature limit of the rooms they need to provide light weight bedding instead of the heavy duvets. A fan would be nice too. The hotel is located very far from the station, the staff is friendly and helpful and they try their best to help you. I can only recommend, I will add one small minus, the room I occupied (single for one person) was small but good enough to spend only nights. Small rooms with poor acoustics insulation. Best thing is the fact that rooms are inside a courtyard, which minimises street noises.

This hotel is very well located in the city center. There's an excellent grocery store directly across the street which was helpful for buying water, wine, and some snacks to keep in our room. Hôtel Mercure Lyon Centre Beaux-Arts is in a prime location for all the best of Lyon has to offer. We were greeted warmly and provided the best service our entire stay. For the price, this hotel is fantastic. Everyone who works there is really helpful, and everyone speaks English, which is a huge plus for me. My only issue was the air conditioning, or serious lack of it. The week we were in Lyon it was routinely 80-90 degrees F out and the air conditioning in the room didn’t seem to even make a dent in the heat. The hotel room was a good size, everything worked and it was very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and staff were extremely helpful. It was about a 10minute walk to Vieux lyon which suited us fine to be away from the crowds. We alos appreciated the welcome drink.

The Hotel Carlton Lyon was a perfect conclusion to a 10-day travel adventure in France and Switzerland. The advanced online check-in and my room being ready early, allowed me to settle in for a restful night before our flight home. The comfortable room and delicious breakfast was much appreciated.

A nice Best Western Hotel located on a secondary street close to the Rhone and the Wilson bridge. The receptionists are very hospitable. My room on the 7th floor was very nice, good size and well decorated room with a nice bathroom. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of products. The hotel is calm and yet close to the heart of the city.

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights while touring Lyon. We were unexpectedly upgraded to a suite room with a balcony that overlooked the river and Notre Dame. Family suite was very big, with 3 beds and a salloon area. The room is well heated and very cozy. The breakfeast is very poor, and the other Best Western Hotels' breakfeasts were much better. It has a nice parking place and good service, though.

Our room had a shower over the bath which you couldn’t get under rendering it useless as a shower. Also there was no ‘rubber’ strip under the shower screen so the floor got soaked. The garage was unavailable so had to park in road. It was ok and saved €50!

This hotel is very different. It's like rustic chic. I've never experienced anything quite like it. So there are many bad things about the hotel. The pillows are lumpy, the shower hell and soap are basic, the noise on the street comes through the old windows, there's little machines everywhere for different things but in different places. Excellent place for a short stay when arriving at Lyon Part Dieu. Accessible by walking through the mall, with panoramic views from every room. Great hotel, alot of construction in the area and hard to get to it. We arrived 8:30 pm and no where in this area to find dinner as everything closes early. Had to settle for a boring sandwich at the front desk. But the rooms were nice, breakfast was decent.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Staff is very helpful, relax and super friendly. The hotel restaurant offers delicious food at great price value. The park the la tete d'or is within walking distance and offers some nice activities - in particular when travelling with small kids.

The hotel is located next to park area and with direct bus access to the city centre. There is a play area in the ground floor for kids, and gym available in the hotel. A star was taken as air conditioning was not functioning properly.

Excellent customer service!! The hotel went out of its way to accommodate my special request. Much appreciated. Very clean room, and the room service food was delicious and service was prompt. And, I love the little thoughtful touches in the room (eg space in mini bar for personal use, chocolates on my bed, aromatherapy to help with sleep).

Personnel was nice, room was a bit small, but okay. The bathroom drain wasn't fully functioning but overall it was okay. We are vegan and there are no vegan option at all for breakfast. (hence 4 stars instead of 5 in the rating, because for this standing, not having vegan option is a pity).

Stayed for one week in a privilege room. Location is good as you're near to metro, there are nice bars (such as Ninkasi) & restaurants in the area. Room is spacious and comfortable (much better than what I usually get in similar price range). Would be 5* if not for the breakfast. It is the same every day and the variety of some of the foods is not great.

Great walkability and location. Rooms are standard, definitely nothing fancy. Biggest problem is the shower floods out the floor of the entire bathroom so that there’s standing water around the toilet. Told the front desk staff, and they said “it’s just the design”

Great location. We came for a art Biennale. It was very easy to move around and many of tourist attraction are walking distance. The rooms where simple/minimal design, clean and practical. It looked bigger than what was indicated in m2. The bed was comfortable. The staff was adorable and they let us to early check in. We often go to this hotel when we visit Lyon. It’s a small but cozy place, with a great lounge downstairs that is empty most of the time. the location is great and there’s parking spaces nearby. Love the view of the river, the unique feel of the bed sheets and the pillows. It’s clean and comfortable. I’d definitely recommend this place

Best hotel ever! The staff is amazing, the rooms are gorgeous, you get free drinks and a free appetizer at ‘the club’. Location is perfect, everything is walkable. Would recommend this hotel 100%

It was a great experience from the moment we arrived. The room was ready on time with a great check in without any delays. Nicely appointed, sound proofed and very clean rooms. Every member of the team were helpful and wore a smile. Overall, albeit there are many reasons to recommend this hotel, the main reason for us is the team.

Spent 7 nights here, fantastisch location close to shopping street, Maine square of New Lyon and alsof close enough to walk to old Lyon. Breakfast was plenty but every morning the same. Good housekeeping it was very neat. Rooms are small compared to other countries but ample space. Friendly and multi lingual staff
