I had a wonderful experience! The hotel is truly perfectly located with the best view. The staff was very kind and helpful. The restaurant was truly the best place in Lyon to eat. I just wish the Air Conditioner was turned on.
We were able to drive the hire car past the hotel to drop our luggage before dropping the hire car back at Part Dieu. The hotel room we chose (circular junior suite) was spectacular, with a big balcony and great view of Place de Bellacour The breakfast was lovely as were the staff.
Most beautiful hotel in the heart of Lyon. Rooms, lobby and Bar / Restaurant were beautifully ornate. The personnel was attentive, pleasant and helpful beyond professionalism. Like all McGallery hotels we have been in before, this one was no exception ... as near perfection as you would want. Many thanks to the staff. Do not miss this gem if you go to Lyon.
It’s a very beautiful boutique hotel in a perfect location. Really nice decor with unique touches everywhere. Our room was large and the bed was very confy. The breakfast offering was a bit limited but of a very good quality. However, a few things made a little dissatisfied: The level of customer service was a disappointment. Our guest service agent felt quite unfriendly and cold at check-in and...
Beautifully appointed hotel; lovely breakfast room which served an array of fantastic food; friendly & helpful staff. Location was perfect, within walking distance to food, shops and sights. Will definitely return!
Very nice hotel with a great location close to the heart of Lyon. Wonderful staff, very helpful, very professional. 1st floor room had high ceiling, tall windows. Nicely appointed, but could use one more comfortable chair. Very nice bar area and inviting restaurant.
Great neighborhood for energy, shopping, restaurants, easy access to metro and bus. Fabulous breakfast. Clean, quiet, comfy

we were able to get into our room a little bit earlier than the check-in of 4 PM which was much appreciated. Our room had a spectacular view of the Rhone. Everyone from the front desk to the Bell person was very helpful. The room was very comfortable. However, it could have used a few more outlets, and the shower tub combination was not great as the tub was quite high to have to step into. otherwise...
Hotel is ideally located for exploring the city. Concierge was a great source of knowledge and advice on what to see and do. Staff overall were so helpful. Hotel is immaculately clean and well maintained. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend highly
Really recommend this hotel. Perfect location in Lyon, Valet parking (€30/night). Lovely lobby and entrance, meeting 5 star expectations. Very friendly, capable and professional staff too! Location was as good as we could expect. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, complimentary minibar (water, soft drinks and nuts) more than made-up for this. I will stay here again on our next trip to Lyon.
Location of this hotel is not bad. Parking also exists and they have own places. The room is also fine and a team is friendly. For me always important that a mattress is comfortable, otherwise i cannot sleep and here the mattress was good.
Very dated room with many issues including: * Bathroom tiles broken, loose, with gaps/missing grouting or mould in the grouting. * All the furniture was scuffed and chipped. * Massive stain on the carpet in the room. * Peeling paint throughout. * Enamel peeling on the bath. However, the bed was amazing as was the location and the view. Overall a bit surprised for a 5* hotel.
We stayed for one week 3 rooms and we loved the location, staff and the breakfast. Valentine at the concierge was superb, with all suggestions in what to do and ready to help. Hotel is located in the perfect spot close to Old Town Lyon or across the River. Rooms are small but for Europe standards they are big, in my opinion. Breakfast is located on the top floor with amazing views of Lyon, and the...

Beautiful hotel on top of hill over looking Lyon. Great amenities in the hotel and breakfast was excellent. We were nicely greeted by staff and staff was extremely helpful friendly and accommodating during our stay. Highly recommend this hotel.
The Hotel is stunning but, be aware there are 235 steps to get down to the old town. Both my husband and I had serious back surgeries last year and this was a real issue for us. The staff were very helpful. We had a drink in the bar and could have bought 3 bottles of wine in a local shop for the price of one glass of wine.
We decided to leave Chamonix early and head to Lyon. The best decision we could make. Villa Florentine made everything so wonderful the beautiful rooms, excellent beds, quiet, and the marvelous staff. We arrived later in the evening and the staff immediately helped with reservations for dinners, for the evening and the following night. The meals were excellent and the restaurants what we had requested...
Stayed two nights. The room was very quiet, the view from the room was great giving a look over the city. The employees where very happy to help and jump in anytime we needed anything. They even called us to make sure we were able to eat despite our late arrival on day 1. Do not hesitate this hotel is wonderful. One of the best in Lyon!
My husband and I loved our stay at Villa Florentine. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We were helped with our bags all the time and greeted every time we passed the reception. The room was clean and we had a great view.
The hotel is located on a hill, giving it a great view of Lyon. The rooms are very nice and cleaned often. The staff are extremely courteous and always willing to help with any questions you may have. The concierge is very knowledgeable and able to give recommendations for great restaurants and then make reservations for you. The hotel's restaurant is pricey, but the food was exceptional. This place was super quirky but had a lot of good things going for it. The location is right in the center of the old city with a ton of classic Lyonnais restaurants in every direction, as well as plenty of patisseries, gift shops, and the marionettes museums. The building itself is VERY Lyon, with the classic stacked staircases look you'll see throughout the old city and its traboules. But the rooms...
Beautiful building. Gorgeous rooms, if not a little dark. Lovely indoor pool, but only really big enough for one person, or a couple to swim.
Beautiful building, very unique and sexy rooms (albeit some may think they're slightly claustrophobic and in need of refreshing), great service, and the best location. Really, the location simply can't be beat. The downside is that many of the rooms badly need renovation, especially since some don't have a shower (!!!) and the spa could use some renovation as well. I was told that Raddison is going...
Really intriguing place to stay in for a weekend. Lots of small restaurants around and intact architecture to explore. I'm really impressed with the social atmosphere in Lyon. During the evening time the smell of amazing scents coming out from nearby boutiques, confectionery shops will make you feel relaxed and amazed. Worth coming over ?.
This is a quaint little hotel. We loved our room and loved all the attention and service. Dinner there was a treat. The whole experience was out of this world and when we return to Lyon, we will be staying at Cour des Loges. I'm just sorry that I did not get the chance to use their spa and exercise room. Both me and my wife can't wait to return to Lyon and stay at this marvelous place.

The location is fantastic on top of a hill overlooking Lyon. Staff are very courteous and professional, but hotel needs to be updated. Specially the pool and spa area. Great: Staff, view, wellness area. Room is rather small for the price. You should be in decent shape as the hill is quite steep or you’ll have to Uber every time you want to go out.
Very nice hotel design, great staff. Bartender knew what he was doing, and was game for something interesting (eg. Tequila Old Fashioned). Rooms are as you would expect at a place like this, although I found there to be a little lack of drawer/storage space to unpack for a few days. Bathrooms have separate small rooms for shower and WC - a definite plus - and although there is the ubiquitous window...
We enjoyed four beautiful nights in this elegant, beautiful hotel. The rooms are gorgeous and well appointed, particularly the bathrooms. Service was personal, friendly, nothing was ever a problem. The views of the old town are fantastic, but be prepared for the walk, Uber or scooter ride up and down the hill each day if you’re planning to stay here to explore Lyon over several days.
Staff are outstanding, so helpful, efficient and friendly. Receptionists, concierge team are fantastic. They helped plan my sightseeing and organised 2 great taxis during my stay. Housekeeping was also top notch and nothing was a problem. Very helpful bringing in extra bedding etc. Lovely room service and bar team. Great relaxing bar for drinks and meals. The central location, the cleanliness of the rooms, the hospitality were great. The breakfast was very rich and wonderful. Not having a minibar in the room was a problem in winter, but it could be in summer. Thanks for everything
Our stay in the hotel was great. It is very close to the train station and public transport. The rooms were nice and clean, the breakfast was excellent and the staff are extremely nice and friendly.
Very very comfy beds, very friendly staff! Everything felt clean and good quality. Breakfast was a bit chaotic, room was packed and felt understaffed, a lot of stuff just wasn't getting replenished for longer period of time. That being said, everything was tasty! Would book again!
Lovely hotel is a central location. There is a main metro & train station less than a few min walk away and a team stop outside the hotel. The staff were very helpful and the rooms are modern and very comfortable. I really liked the outdoor space in the courtyard, nice to sit and relax and have a coffee or a drink

Great hotel, alot of construction in the area and hard to get to it. We arrived 8:30 pm and no where in this area to find dinner as everything closes early. Had to settle for a boring sandwich at the front desk. But the rooms were nice, breakfast was decent.
Very good hotel. Freshly refurbished room, nice view on the city. The bar serves good cocktails (bit of a waiting time). Parking of the hotel was full… that shouldn’t happen, I had to park a bit far in the street. Overall nice hotel and friendly staff.
Nice room, well decorated, very clean. Magnificent view from the room. The only negative point is the entrance of the building. The road / sidewalk to enter into the hotel is quite dirty. Certainly doesn't deserve to be the entering road for a four star hotel !
We stayed two nights in this hotel. The check-in was not very smooth: there were many guests wanting to check in and it took quite a long time. The person who checked us in was not very friendly: no smile and not very enthusiastic. We did not feel very welcome. Room is ok: beautiful view over the city. The bed is rather small (150 cm) and a bit hard. Breakfast is good and is served in a very nice...
View and room are great. Parking is really difficult to find. No signs at all, while the road is closed. In the end you need to go on the bus/taxi lane (while officially not allowed). Therefore not 5stars
An impressive building, inside and out, with stunning views over the city from the 32nd floor restaurant and bar. A little corporate, but the slick service needs to cater for the occasional tourist that walks in, as the reception staff seemed all too keen to ignore anyone not entirely dressed for the occasion. Booked a night there for the Light Festival in Lyon. Wasn’t disappointed at all. The room was quite large and there was even a small balcony which I believe can be nice to enjoy the view and warm weather in the summer. I only had a business dinner at ZUCCA Restaurant of Marriott Hotel Cité International, but it was an outstanding experience. The dinner was exquisite, perfectly paired with excellent wine, and the dessert was both delicate and delicious. The waiters were exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive. Highly recommended!
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room/ bathroom is big enough but the cleaning could have been a whole lot better unfortunately. It's not giving the 4-star vibes you're paying for. Last night there were incredibly noisy party people next to us and a lot of guests had complained apparently. We were told at the reception that they were aware of the noise and they said sorry for the inconvenience...
The staff here is wonderful and I really wanted to like this hotel…. Unfortunately this hotel desperately needs a renovation…..which is scheduled for next year. Rooms dated and in poor condition. Despite Lyon being the gastronomy capital of the world, the food and bar offerings here will disappoint. Looking forward to seeing their improvement in the future.
The check in staff were top tier, amazing. The location is right beside a bus line with easy access to the train and city center. The hotel needs an update. Peeling paint on the ceiling, rusty looking shower floors, walls peeling out badly patched, in general needing a refresh. We were there for the Olympics and a few of the soccer teams were there so at times there was no access to parts of the hotel...

Great walkability and location. Rooms are standard, definitely nothing fancy. Biggest problem is the shower floods out the floor of the entire bathroom so that there’s standing water around the toilet. Told the front desk staff, and they said “it’s just the design”
Very nice hotel, perfect to visit Lyon due to its central position. The room are clean and tidy and the personnel is young and super gentle. Breakfast ok. Perfect central location and very nice hotel. I really like my room, they gave me a double bed (even though I was alone) and the balcony, which I really appreciated since I was at the last floor (amazing view). The bathroom was quite big as well.
Lovely location, no doubt. Service was a mixed bag. The receptionist at check in definitely needs training and absolutely condescending attitude. So was a bad start to an otherwise ok experience. Food at restaurant was ok. The rooms are old but has a charm
The room door blocked no sound and i was next to the laundry room and staircase, meaning late nights and early mornings for me. I was on the lowesr floor meaning every flush in the night came through my room. Other than the noise, i couldn't fault it. Id willingly come back
Located perfectly, close to the old town. Very friendly welcome and clean rooms. Just the breakfast was not overwhelming - I will never understand why you force people to use the one (!) coffee machine they have at the buffet, while they have an actual industry-grade coffeemachine a few meters away and refuse to serve from that one (in a 4-star-hotel).

Charming as the classic inner city European hotel can be, but modern and with a high standard. A step out the door and you're in the city center but also on top of a metro-stop. Service- minded and friendly staff, and patient when I try my long lost French lessons from high-shool! Best of all, my wife was truly satisfied with our stay and with me booking this hotel :-)
A high room rate for what was a small, tired room with poor sound insulation. While the location was great I’m struggling to understand how this hotel has been awarded four stars. Breakfast was also oversold. If you do choose to stay, I’d recommend eating out in the morning. Overall, a very uninspiring stay.
Central location, easy public transport metro or bus. Breakfast was delicious and variety begins 6:30-10. Elevator easy access, it always stops at reception desk first. Bed and room elegant, comfortable and simple. Bathroom was a bit odd our shower was not enclosed and water can spray. There was a small issue with the faucet and management responded/fixed quickly. Perfect for a quick trip!
Room with acces to the terrace was nice but felt a bit claustrophobic as no window to open. Good price for a top location, well done! Great team, nice and helpful staff.
Superb location in the heart of Lyon old town on a busy pedestrian street, but quiet nonetheless. Reasonably sized rooms and good breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
✅ It's a big advantage that he's in a central location. - The staff is relevant and helpful. - It's at the subway exit. Great for transportation. - Price/benefit balance is good. -The bed is great. We slept very well. ❌ The rooms are small. It's normal because it's a downtown hotel. - Rooms can be loud. Even when they walk upstairs, it's loud. - There's no cabin in the bathroom.

Very central location with great public transport connectivity. Airport tram is a minute away too. There is a huge mall 5 minutes from the hotel so if you want shopping it is very convenient. It is right next to the gare but there are two tiers of windows so no sound gets into the room. Good value for money. Would definitely stay again on my next visit.
Second time going, 2 years apart. Still a great experience. Excellent location (right in front of airport shuttle, next to Part-Dieu train station). Excellent city views if you're high up. Only downside this time around: the shower needs to be fixed, as both showerheads were operating at once (one wouldn't stop dripping overhead, which was rather unpleasant). Considering I was in a 9th floor suite...
We were driving from Germany to Spain, and this was a great mid point. The hotel has a great location, near a train and tram station. Good restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel is clean and spacious. It has a good bar at the reception area.
Although it was a short stay, I was pleased with the comfortable, spacious room assigned. I was also given instructions to use the bus system and a map of where to visit Lyon. The breakfast was OK, as well. Also appreciated the filtered water fountain near reception. Glad I chose Mercure vs. other options nearby.
Sad that maintenance is falling down as this is a good location for an overnight at the train station. There is a lot of mold in the shower. The headboard of the bed needs replacement. Because the company has decided to control the temperature limit of the rooms they need to provide light weight bedding instead of the heavy duvets. A fan would be nice too. Absolutely stunning ! Totally restored to modern luxury! We love the bar so much we were there for one last drink before flying back home.. stunning atmosphere! Love the 5 star ambiance! Be sure to drink the oldest beer on tap!

I really enjoyed my 5 night stay. The entire front desk team was welcoming and very friendly. They took very good care of me. The hotel room was modern, large and had great amenities. Location was close to everything and walkable to great restaurants and bars. I’d recommend staying here again.
The best hotel in my month long trip. The spacious room actually looks better than the photos on the website. A small boutique hotel right in the centre of Lyon, within walking distance to most places for food and shopping. Bed is comfortable, the bathrooms come with nuxe toiletries. Room bar is complimentary. Staff at front desk is friendly and helpful. What a change from some of the other hotels...
Hôtel Mercure Lyon Centre Beaux-Arts is in a prime location for all the best of Lyon has to offer. We were greeted warmly and provided the best service our entire stay. Room was very comfortable and a great view of the city. The breakfast they provided was also so impressive and I already miss it! Thank you we will be back!
The room is lovely and spacious. Best is the location, right in t he middle of the city, making it really walkable. Lots of eateries and shopping around the hotel. Unfortunately, I was not given the free upgrade; nonetheless, the room I had in the corner was really nice.
This is a beautiful place to stay in the heart of Lyon. The hotel is right in the middle of great shopping and cafes with easy walking to the old city and many other attractions. The staff are friendly and helpful. the rooms are well appointed, spacious with several closets, and comfortable beds and linens. Breakfast offers variety and self service so you can get a quick start to your adventures...
Staff were super friendly, helpful and spoke good English. Rooms were clean although bathroom was quite small. Nice and warm in the cold weather. Express breakfast was reasonable value for money, being much cheaper than the buffet breakfast.

For the price, this hotel is fantastic. Everyone who works there is really helpful, and everyone speaks English, which is a huge plus for me. My only issue was the air conditioning, or serious lack of it. The week we were in Lyon it was routinely 80-90 degrees F out and the air conditioning in the room didn’t seem to even make a dent in the heat. If there had been AC I would give this place 5 stars...
The hotel room was a good size, everything worked and it was very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and staff were extremely helpful. It was about a 10minute walk to Vieux lyon which suited us fine to be away from the crowds. We alos appreciated the welcome drink.
Everyone was amazing. The front desk was super helpful. They made dinner reservations for us, checked us in quickly and friendly. Cleaners and breakfast service also amazing. Door man super helpful too. Great stay!
The Hotel staff was very kind and helpful with bags, restaurant recommendations, a taxi service to the countryside. The room was clean, bright and comfortable. The hotel bar staff was very nice even after I forgot to pay my bill on the way out. I was really impressed with the hotel as a whole. Highly recommend!
The Hotel Carlton Lyon was a perfect conclusion to a 10-day travel adventure in France and Switzerland. The advanced online check-in and my room being ready early, allowed me to settle in for a restful night before our flight home. The comfortable room and delicious breakfast was much appreciated.
Perfect location for visiting Lyon! We stayed here just one night but loved how centrally located it was. The staff were all very nice and helpful, and the valet parking was a great service to have as well when parking in a city. We would definitely stay here again when returning to Lyon!

It was a great experience from the moment we arrived. The room was ready on time with a great check in without any delays. Nicely appointed, sound proofed and very clean rooms. Every member of the team were helpful and wore a smile. Overall, albeit there are many reasons to recommend this hotel, the main reason for us is the team.
The hotel and our room was amazing! The hotel is really central, in a very beautiful street, and just a stone's throw from a metro station.
Not quite 4* hotel, but definetly a 3+. Room and bed 🛌 were really confortable; small room, but very cozy; good location and really nice staff
September 11 to 13, 2017. Sebastián the front desk manager was thoroughly professional and upbeat during our two night stay. The hotel had just taken delivery of a new fusbol (table soccer) table, and Sebastián kindly, and without prompting, jumped in and played against my 9 year old son! Not what you expect from a hotel, but something myself as a parent loved to see! We had a family room. A double...
Sebastian really goes out of his way to make the customer's experience great. The location in unbeatable and the rooms are clean, modern, and comfy. I will definitely be staying here again.

Convenient location, availability of parking space on the street, nearby underground parking, cozy rooms
This is a great hotel in the heart of Lyon. Modern well appointed rooms with all the necessities for a comfortable stay. Large comfortable bedding. The food here is recommended too. Had dinner which was good and the breakfast buffet has a delectable spread too.
wonderful hotel. price - quality is super. the staff is friendly. the rooms are cozy and comfortable
Very good location to walk to central shopping area or historical centre. Room was big (we were a family of 2 adults and 2 children) and clean, breakfast was very good. Only downside was the parking which was a bit pricey and the overall cost of the stay, again on the pricey side. but all in all a very good choice
