The location is fantastic on top of a hill overlooking Lyon. Staff are very courteous and professional, but hotel needs to be updated. Specially the pool and spa area. The tiles of the pool were literally chipped off. It looked dated. Room has a nice view to the garden, but it does not feel luxurious. I am not sure about five star , this hotel is at best 3 or 4 star.
Great: Staff, view, wellness area. Room is rather small for the price. You should be in decent shape as the hill is quite steep or you’ll have to Uber every time you want to go out.
Very nice hotel design, great staff. Bartender knew what he was doing, and was game for something interesting (eg. Tequila Old Fashioned). Rooms are as you would expect at a place like this, although I found there to be a little lack of drawer/storage space to unpack for a few days. Bathrooms have separate small rooms for shower and WC - a definite plus - and although there is the ubiquitous window...
We enjoyed four beautiful nights in this elegant, beautiful hotel. The rooms are gorgeous and well appointed, particularly the bathrooms. Service was personal, friendly, nothing was ever a problem. The views of the old town are fantastic, but be prepared for the walk, Uber or scooter ride up and down the hill each day if you’re planning to stay here to explore Lyon over several days.
Staff are outstanding, so helpful, efficient and friendly. Receptionists, concierge team are fantastic. They helped plan my sightseeing and organised 2 great taxis during my stay. Housekeeping was also top notch and nothing was a problem. Very helpful bringing in extra bedding etc. Lovely room service and bar team. Great relaxing bar for drinks and meals. Fabulous bedroom overlooking garden. Faultless...

Our stay was just WOW! The beautiful design and luxurious rooms were surprisingly spacious compared to the other hotels we had stayed at in Lyon. Arts Hotels Lyon doesn’t fail to disappoint. Our room was really comfortable and very romantic, ideal for our wedding anniversary. This place was super quirky but had a lot of good things going for it. The location is right in the center of the old city with a ton of classic Lyonnais restaurants in every direction, as well as plenty of patisseries, gift shops, and the marionettes museums. The building itself is VERY Lyon, with the classic stacked staircases look you'll see throughout the old city and its traboules. But the rooms...
Room was very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. Perfect location for touring Vieux Lyon.
Beautiful building. Gorgeous rooms, if not a little dark. Lovely indoor pool, but only really big enough for one person, or a couple to swim.
Restaurant experience review. Very beautifully presented and tasty food. Great staff service too.
Beautiful building, very unique and sexy rooms (albeit some may think they're slightly claustrophobic and in need of refreshing), great service, and the best location. Really, the location simply can't be beat. The downside is that many of the rooms badly need renovation, especially since some don't have a shower (!!!) and the spa could use some renovation as well. I was told that Raddison is going...
Really intriguing place to stay in for a weekend. Lots of small restaurants around and intact architecture to explore. I'm really impressed with the social atmosphere in Lyon. During the evening time the smell of amazing scents coming out from nearby boutiques, confectionery shops will make you feel relaxed and amazed. Worth coming over ?.

we were able to get into our room a little bit earlier than the check-in of 4 PM which was much appreciated. Our room had a spectacular view of the Rhone. Everyone from the front desk to the Bell person was very helpful. The room was very comfortable. However, it could have used a few more outlets, and the shower tub combination was not great as the tub was quite high to have to step into. otherwise...
Hotel is ideally located for exploring the city. Concierge was a great source of knowledge and advice on what to see and do. Staff overall were so helpful. Hotel is immaculately clean and well maintained. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend highly
Really recommend this hotel. Perfect location in Lyon, Valet parking (€30/night). Lovely lobby and entrance, meeting 5 star expectations. Very friendly, capable and professional staff too! Location was as good as we could expect. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, complimentary minibar (water, soft drinks and nuts) more than made-up for this. I will stay here again on our next trip to Lyon.
Location of this hotel is not bad. Parking also exists and they have own places. The room is also fine and a team is friendly. For me always important that a mattress is comfortable, otherwise i cannot sleep and here the mattress was good.
Very dated room with many issues including: * Bathroom tiles broken, loose, with gaps/missing grouting or mould in the grouting. * All the furniture was scuffed and chipped. * Massive stain on the carpet in the room. * Peeling paint throughout. * Enamel peeling on the bath. However, the bed was amazing as was the location and the view. Overall a bit surprised for a 5* hotel.
We stayed for one week 3 rooms and we loved the location, staff and the breakfast. Valentine at the concierge was superb, with all suggestions in what to do and ready to help. Hotel is located in the perfect spot close to Old Town Lyon or across the River. Rooms are small but for Europe standards they are big, in my opinion. It’s a very beautiful boutique hotel in a perfect location. Really nice decor with unique touches everywhere. Our room was large and the bed was very confy. Beautifully appointed hotel; lovely breakfast room which served an array of fantastic food; friendly & helpful staff. Location was perfect, within walking distance to food, shops and sights. Will definitely return!
Very nice hotel with a great location close to the heart of Lyon. Wonderful staff, very helpful, very professional. 1st floor room had high ceiling, tall windows. Nicely appointed, but could use one more comfortable chair. Very nice bar area and inviting restaurant.
We booked a superior room overlooking the Place Bellecour and was very surprised when we walked in our room. The room was nicely decorated with beautiful wallpapers, drapes, and furniture. It was larger than I expected with a very comfortable bed and pillows. The room had a good size bathroom as well. The water was included in our booking which was very nice. The view from our room was also beautiful...
Our courtyard room (view shown in picture) is large and tastefully decorated. Although some of the furniture is slightly tired looking, it's still pleasing. It's quiet inside the room, even though the hotel is quite fully booked. The moment you enter the hotel, you're greeted and serviced by an enthusiastic crew, which makes you feel welcomed. I can't say enough about this hotel. The location, breakfast, atmosphere, and decor were all amazing. They were only topped by the hospitality! Everyone we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and to meet our needs. I highly recommend and will be back for sure :)

Very central location with great public transport connectivity. Airport tram is a minute away too. There is a huge mall 5 minutes from the hotel so if you want shopping it is very convenient. It is right next to the gare but there are two tiers of windows so no sound gets into the room. Good value for money. Would definitely stay again on my next visit.
Second time going, 2 years apart. Still a great experience. Excellent location (right in front of airport shuttle, next to Part-Dieu train station). Excellent city views if you're high up. Only downside this time around: the shower needs to be fixed, as both showerheads were operating at once (one wouldn't stop dripping overhead, which was rather unpleasant). Considering I was in a 9th floor suite...
We were driving from Germany to Spain, and this was a great mid point. The hotel has a great location, near a train and tram station. Good restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel is clean and spacious. It has a good bar at the reception area.
Although it was a short stay, I was pleased with the comfortable, spacious room assigned. I was also given instructions to use the bus system and a map of where to visit Lyon. The breakfast was OK, as well. Also appreciated the filtered water fountain near reception. Glad I chose Mercure vs. other options nearby.
Sad that maintenance is falling down as this is a good location for an overnight at the train station. There is a lot of mold in the shower. The headboard of the bed needs replacement. Because the company has decided to control the temperature limit of the rooms they need to provide light weight bedding instead of the heavy duvets. A fan would be nice too. The fan in the ac unit was noisy in our room...
The hotel is FANTASTIC if you are coming to Lyon. Everyone is super helpful and friendly especially Gloria! I am a 70 year old person who was traveling by herself and I felt very safe and well taken care of. Highly recommend!

Very good hotel (stayed 6/7 times). Good breakfast. Clean room. Welcome. I recommend closing your eyes (having slept in other highly rated hotels in Lyon).
The hotel is located very far from the station, the staff is friendly and helpful and they try their best to help you. I can only recommend, I will add one small minus, the room I occupied (single for one person) was small but good enough to spend only nights. This hotel is very well located in the city center. There's an excellent grocery store directly across the street which was helpful for buying water, wine, and some snacks to keep in our room. This is a great hotel in the heart of Lyon. Modern well appointed rooms with all the necessities for a comfortable stay. Large comfortable bedding. The food here is recommended too. Had dinner which was good and the breakfast buffet has a delectable spread too.
The hotel was nice and clean. Good breakfast in the morning. WiFi was a bit slow, but useable.

Very good location to walk to central shopping area or historical centre. Room was big (we were a family of 2 adults and 2 children) and clean, breakfast was very good. Excellent accommodation, great food and service.
Great location if you come for a seminar by train to Lyon Perrache. Take the exit Court Savoie or Rue Carnot and the hotel is only a few meters on the left. Reception is at the same level then the train station exits. Very handy. Train and metro 4 stations. Very nice decor as this is an old château. Breakfast OK but not amazing for 19 euros. Good facility for a c. 150 PEOPLE. Helpful staff
Nice hotel, rooms are clean and spacious. The parking underneath is a subject for prior booking! We have got no place to park. Unfortunately the personnel could not make us a breakfast to takeaway for an early checkout, which I though is a standard around the world.
Very comfortable and quiet on weekends. Beautiful interior, nice view and friendly personal. Breakfast is frensh and good, coffee delicious. Beds are cosy and excellent sleep.
I stayed here one night while travelling on business.. What an amazing place.. especially the building it's self! It's a gem from the turn of the last century .. The interior designers have done a good job preserving the original features, although I guess some were lost in under the demand for modern facilities.. If true?.. that's our fault! It has a central location beside the railway station....

Stayed for one week in a privilege room. Location is good as you're near to metro, there are nice bars (such as Ninkasi) & restaurants in the area. Room is spacious and comfortable (much better than what I usually get in similar price range). Would be 5* if not for the breakfast. It is the same every day and the variety of some of the foods is not great.
Stayed in the hotel for two weeks, I understand that it is a business hotel and people that stay there mostly are there for business, but there are sevarl issues that need to be fixed. September 11 to 13, 2017. Sebastián the front desk manager was thoroughly professional and upbeat during our two night stay. Super hotel in a lovely area. Clean, comfortable, fantastic staff and a great waterfall shower!
The hotel is undergoing renovations. The main entrance is from the rear of the building, into a parking area, then into a hall way. In the hallway sits a person behind a small, cheap desk. And so it goes.
I was very happy with the value for the money paid. Staff was nice & helpful. Comfortable bed and large bathroom (not often that this happens in Europe). Small fridge in room with nearby grocery stores if you don’t want to eat out 3 meals/day. Just a few blocks from the metro and walkable to “Old Lyon.” I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Lyon.

This is my favorite hotel in Lyon. Clean, modern, no hassles, and the breakfast buffet is perfect! Just across the street from the most amazing park.in France on one side, and a beautiful river with walking/biking path on the other side.
We liked the hotel but was not up to the typical standard I am used to at Marriott. Check in and out was a little slow. Room was a bit dated - the thermostat doesn’t allow you to set temperature just a power level = often too cold or too hot. Nice room, well decorated, very clean. Magnificent view from the room. The only negative point is the entrance of the building. The road / sidewalk to enter into the hotel is quite dirty. Certainly doesn't deserve to be the entering road for a four star hotel !

Our room had a shower over the bath which you couldn’t get under rendering it useless as a shower. Also there was no ‘rubber’ strip under the shower screen so the floor got soaked. The garage was unavailable so had to park in road. It was ok and saved €50!
Good hotel in a great location with strong hipster vibes. The rooms are bright and functional and quiet. Very comfortable beds. Would stay here again!
Rooms are a little too small, but the location and service are great. I especially liked the water dispenser offering chilled, filtered water and sparkling water. Arriving by bike, I appreciated the secure cycle storage.
We stayed for 2 nights, the first night we asked to change the room because the drain of the shower was totally clogged. The second one was smaller but had a nice view to the terrace. The staff of the hotel are very young that unfortunately were very inexperience, no problem with that, it would be nice to have someone with experience that could guide them. We were also disappointed that we were charged...
very interesting design, good breakfast, nice view from the room
I found the room uncomfortable and not suitable for anyone but someone quite young hence the name. Too cute. Having said that, great location
